Just now, Will B Good said:Ooooo........a reflector, refocussing the sound back into the cafe.......plus add a little of my own noise........????
yup , curve the wall so that the cafe is inside the curve, that will reflect his own end noise back

At the boundary where the cafe is , build a double ,curved wall 3metre high, this should buffer the sound a fair amount,
and would avoid any animosity. I know costly but it would make your life easier surely.

As far as the op's question goes , I think He would do well to clean up all the Negative connections first.

because the name was Transam, I was thinking American, as an Englishman , yes we always said 'Starting Handle'
and the first Engines I worked on were 'side valve' believe it or not. So we have seen some changes for sure.

Depends on the alternator I suppose, I recall I did have a live feed to an alternator once, but I never removed the battery with engine running to find out. ????.
The cars I did disconnect the battery, the engines kept running...
ah yes I see now, my sincere apologies, in the old days the 'excitation ' current was always sent to the rotor via a dedicated cable
from the ignition switch. that circuit has changed now taking the initial 12v from the alternator output cable, which would receive it via the battery, but continue to receive after output is established , thus it is possible to disconnect the battery +, and run ok.
get out of touch in my old years 55

Maybe the battery was so low that the BSI program was lost. therefore it had to be reset, a simple procedure.
which you need to carry out before starting with the jump battery connected. In other words, theres nothing wrong with the transmission switching, just the BSI reset.

Once a petrol car has started, the alternator takes over, there are some rides that may stop on battery removal, but I have never had one...
I think thats wrong Sir. an Alternator needs a supply ,in order to generate curent

Totally agree. A re-enactment for what ??
it is a useful and normal practice of police in any country, to hold back certain information/facts of a murder
from the general public
facts that only he murderer would know. the reenactment can go towards proving that they have the right person.

all this talk of inflation wiping out any gains , its only true if you buy the inflated goods, but in the real world of a pensioner
living out in the village with his Thai wife, growing some veg , keeping a few chickens and Ducks being almost self sufficient.
has to pay his utilities and buy some rice and meat , but owns the little house with a patch of land , this weakening of the baht is great , cash is king .
he and his good Lady will be delighted. long and far may it fall . may God and Buddha look after us all

its the cause of many starting and mixture problems due to the sensor signal to the ECU on temprature instruction
its a simple and cheap check, just to eliminate that before you go deeper and more costly.

I know this may sound strange, but trust me , it would be worth changing the coolant sensor.
