  1. Why?

You could just say you are not a tourist so don't need the VAT refund, pay for your items and leave.  Please tell me why dumping your goods and walking away is a better idea?  I'm interested in your logic.

Then lets imagine a Chinese tourist in your country, does his/her shopping, a cashier asks them for ID to support a VAT refund at the airport, they get furious without asking any questions, they dump their goods and storm off, causing disruption and inconvenience for the shop and for everyone behind them in the queue.   Would you tell everyone you totally understand and support them, or would you say they were horrendously rude, selfish, and inconsiderate?  Idiotic even?

    Please answer.

    Don’t answer stupid questions

And I”ll take no lectures in Thailand about “rude selfish or inconsiderate “ the country wrote the book on it !

  2. I am hoping likewise although my situation may be different to yours and many others, so let me explain........

I really don't watch True Vision for anything other than the EPL, although occasionally I may surf through a few channels to see what's on and can watch the occasional rugby game.

All of the other channels are surplus to requirements for me and I can get in the programs I need through BBC iPlayer and the like.

However I did see a message on the screen the other day that I needed to go along to the True Vision Centre and make an appointment for them to come and do something to my system, which I did. Imagine my surprise when they said that they needed to come along and change something on the dish and the cable and that it would cost 800 baht.

Now 800 baht is not a lot of money but why on earth should I pay extra money to have a cable changed when it is really their problem because supposedly they have changed satellites??

Again I wouldn't mind too much, but paying what I do for a service which I rarely watch and then only in the football season (without Champions League matches) and then having to pay more for them to upgrade their system really does grate.

So here are the questions, I want to watch EPL matches and I want to watch Rugby Union International Matches, including the Rugby World Cup if I can, so what are my options if I cancel True Visions.....please.

    Thanks in advance.......

A fast internet connection and searching online Time4tv.net is very good for sport

  3. TM30 is presented to local immigration office within 24 hours of arrival of a foreigner stay.  The owner/landlord/authorized representative files the report directly to immigration.  You should not be involved other than providing the required passport information.  The issue is often this is not being done and now some immigration offices will not provide service until it is on file - so foreigners are being tasked to force or in some cases do this task (by defining the renter as in control of the property - ie putting the chickens in charge of the chickens).

So if I apply for re entry permit immigration office may check if my address TM30 is on file, and when I arrive in Thailand at airport they can check to see have been registered at an address?
