  1. Many years ago I was walking along Beach Road in the area where the tourist coaches parked nose to tail just north of the Hard Rock Hotel. This just left a narrow stretch of pavement between the buses and the wall. As I walked home in the early hours towards the buses, two ladyboys were closing in on me from behind, just in time, I noticed two more in front of me who were heading to cut me off if I walked between the buses. Fortunately I realised what was happening and diverted to the pavement by the beach. I've an idea what might have happened had I walked between the buses and the wall.
  2. Yeah, but what else did the Chinese, or Romans do for us?
  3. Do anybody know what happens to the reams of paperwork/photocopies that are produced for each individual for every renewal/extension each year? Especially in the cases where there are no significant changes in the applicants circumstances each year, i.e. Same passport, address, marital status etc..
  4. So it wasn't his fault for not completing the transaction? Was it the first time he had ever deposited cash at the bank?
  5. Nice wind up, you nearly caught me there.
  6. A bit like the lady in UK who's 'pet' bulldogs ripped her apart?
  7. The UK Stagecoach Bus effect, produce low, wipe out all the competition, then when you are the only option, monopolise the vacuum.
  8. I have posted on this subject before. Two years ago I was in a similar situation, I changed my diet, took mild exercise and within 3 months my problem eased after six months and, in consultation with my doctor, I stopped all medication. My health improved and, more importantly, my medical insurance premiums dropped almost 50%.
  9. I presume it is necessary for all signatories to include their full name, address and contact details to validate their petitioning. Useful information to the immigration department and probably not so for overstayers etc.?
  10. See Anthony Hopkins, "three things you must accept" on YouTube.
  11. I suppose there must be a spreadsheet somewhere where you can 'perm' the options.
  12. The bone graft should be included in the total cost of the implants.
  13. I had implants at BIDC in Bangkok in 2008. The teeth are well bedded in and in perfect working order. I have them checked X-ray every two years.
  14. Meanwhile in the south of Spain, a litre of lager, a litre of acceptable table wine ( my preference Rosè) and a bottle of Cava fizz, for just over €5.00. Less than THB250.
  15. Especially when the signatories are foreigners on varying degrees of visas.
  16. There goes Pattaya's Cobra Gold windfall.
  17. I went to BIDC in Bangkok in 2008, the got it right first time and I've never had a problem since. Each year I have a check up with my regular dentist in Hua Hin, including X-ray, and he are suitably impressed with the way the implants are secured after so many years.
