  1. Thanks for your reply KK which I enjoyed

You say "If you already know the answers, why are you asking the question?" Again a silly remark. I know some of the answers but did not know all hence my inquiry.

I had a condo in Sunset Heights for 8 years and was treasurer. It was a happy building which welcomed pets as part of the family. I my 8 years on the committee we had nil problems with pets but a lot of pleasure from them.

I do not see what alleged hordes of tourists at Reflection have to do with pets. Perhaps you have spotted a mysterious connection??

Hipflat is useful for comparative purposes rather than absolute values as it reflects expectations rather well.

Equating pets with drug addicts and hookers again seems like forum extreme language.

Keep trying and maybe you will get back on topic some time

  2. Kitten Kong.

"So that's 4 out of about 400 then. My list of condos that dont allow pets would be much longer.

As for the resale values, dream on"

Once again a baseless comment without relevance  We were discussing condos that DO allow pets not all condos. Check Hipflat on values for condos I  mentioned.

I dont know of any building that officially permits pets, though I know of a couple of badly managed ones where they are either tolerated or the management simply doesnt know what's going on.

Any building that decides to allow them stands a very good chance of seeing unit values drop significantly, I suspect.

Well that's rubbish. The condos I know accept pets are Sunset Heights, Grand Condotel , Reflection, Park Royal all of which have robustly high resale prices. A bit of research before baseless surmises might be in order

  4. I cannot find a previous thread on this topic though I recall one. Anyway an update would be good.

I am looking for a condo where small pets are accepted or allowed.

If your condo is one I would really appreciate a heads up.

For members who have a strong condo anti pet bias please leave this thread alone. We already know your views and are only looking for positive and helpful replies

  6. Just an update on savings available at Bangkok pharmacies vs Pattaya

No 1 is a very good local pharmacy that most agree has the lowest prices locally

No 2 is a Bangkok pharmacy on Rama VI Road

    Ex Forge  box 160/10   1.B1300-00 2.B800.00

    Trajenta 5mg box    1.B2040.00 2.B1430.00

    Lexapro 10 mg box   1.B1380.00   2.B1150.00

A saving after EMS B80 of B1260.00 pm per 28 days or B16380 per year

  7. Just yesterday I went to Yokomori Onsen and Spa on Thepprasit Road. I had a 60 minute Thai massage B415.

The massage was expert and the whole facility very impressive and spotless. Massage is on a mattress. No head hole. Room is just a curtained raised area with other massages occurring nearby behind curtains.

Overall very impressed and I will be back soon. Website is good

  8. All the pharmacies here are "rip offs"because of their huge mark ups on medicines.

Some years ago I switched to Fascino which was at least 20 per cent cheaper than pharmacies in supermarkets and streetside.

Recently I started buying my meds online from a major professional pharmacy in Baangkok. I send them an order, they send an invoice all on Line then I credit their bank account using internet banking and copy that bank receipt to them. Meds are parcelled and sent by mail for Baht80! Usually arrive the next day or the one after.

To give you and idea of savings every month I buy Med No.1 Fascino B1750 BKK 1245 Med No. 2 Fascino 1300 BKK 800

Next time you are in Bangkok go to the row of pharmacies on Rama IV opposite Chulalongkorn Hospital and check their prices and set up such an arrangement.

I will not deal with PMs on this

  9. I have regular testosterone shots under supervision of my Bangkok doctors.

The shots themselves areadministered by a local doctor and use Testiveron(?).

The cost is medicine B250 Sevice (Injection) B200.

Why would a special clinic be needed for this normal medical treatment.

  10. On Tuesday power at Ban Amphur was out from about 9am to 5pm.

Today we have had another blackout  from 1pm to 8pm. To check the extent I drove from Ambassador to power off at Ocean Marina to the overhead walkway at Naval Base past Bang Saray and still no end in sight.

That is very extensive and rather long in duration when you consider food refridgeration.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? It must be something major

went through there on Sunday arvo and it was chaotic; cars, trucks and bikes going in all sorts of directions and at all sorts of angles to get across the junction.

Another warning if you are going down the road that goes through Viharn Sien onto 331 (the road before Buddha Hill/Silver Lake), due to a slight rise in the road you cannot see the dirt section at the junction with the new 331 road where they haven't finished construction. The typical Thai road upgrade where they fix a road but leave about 2 meters of the side road junction in total disrepair for months/years. What's with that!

The road is not accepted by the Government for completion payout until it agrees to the completion of the connecting small section. See it all over the place

  12. As for the NaJomtien derelict, I am told it will soon be resusitated as a Marriot after construction is complete. Said to be a project of whiskey baron Khun Chareon-money no object if it is!

There are at least two such resusitations I can recall. the Jomtien Thani and Northshore Pattaya beach road both very successful.
