  1. You and me will not be very popular in this Woke world gone mad...I expect you are in Thailand as anyone that dares to speak their TRUE mind, would be hounded and ruined in the politically correct Western countries!
  2. Since when have they been a nation of dog lovers? They simply tolerate them as a Ghost warning device, they treat animals terribly, but I have to be honest, and say that the more Thai dogs destroyed the better. A few years back there was a discussion about removing a lot of feral dogs from the beach areas in Thailand, I offered my services to shoot as many as possible, but no one from the government took me up - in fact it could have been an interesting proposition for revenue in the post Covid situation, High End Tourists Invited to Shoot mangy stray dogs, maybe getting a discount on the Elite card......every hundred mingers carcasses gets you a 100K discount. Cats at 50%.
  3. No stmpathy, let your animals roam and foul other peoples gardens, then tough <deleted>! The more poisoned the better. Thailand has over the last few years put a value on these rabid filthy vermin almost over the lives of people - there needs to be a huge cull on these filthy creatures. Anyone that has the pleasure of being attacked by a pack of these rabid curs while walking or out on their bikes will know what I mean - and if your home becomes another "Pet's" toilet for your neighbours animals will probably appreciate their demise.
  4. The shop looks like a deathtrap = are the owners constantly drunk and smoking? What a tip! But it does not excuse theft. Low lifes are everywhere and obviously getting more desperate, catch him, lock him up or feport him, we have enough bad press as it is. Pretty low to steal from these small shops who are probably barely manging to eak out a crust these days. Scumbag would probably get 40 years if he got caught thieving from the likes of CP.
  5. I don't have aproblem with paying plod if I have to, but the main problem is, all of your vehicle insurance becomes null and void if you have no licence! If you look into your insurance documents. there are two categories that will void your insurance - Drunk Driving and No Licence, not something you want to happen if you have a bump.
  6. It used to be available to non Thais as long as you had the ID from the Yellow book. Besides, I managed to log on, with D.O.B and I.D (Yellow Book) and have already completed the first of the 4 sections, I just cannot get past the second section without it crashing. My son uses the Google Store App, but it will not work on my Android (a location problem not solved with or without VPN) - he uses Apple and it works for him. The App is not even listed on my version of play store. I am thinking of taking a trip down to the local office too, took a few screenshots just to make a point.
  7. Anyone managed to get this piece of useless garbage software to actually run? This is a 1 hour piece of junk video that you need to watch and then andswer a few questions to in order to get a slot to renew a Thai driving licence. It is broken down into 4 parts of about 15 minutes each, in each part you need to answer a question and continue. At the end of each part, it will flag it as completed and store the result allowing you to log on later and complete the remaining sections. You need to complete all 4 sections in order to make a booking. Sadly, like most web related content put out by the Thais, it is a complete failure. There is a continuous problem with the server disconnecting (It is supposed to try to reconnect up to 8 times - but it doesn't, it just throws you out and you have to start the entire section again) Up to now (after 2 days) I have only managed to complete section 1. Section 2 bombs out anywhere between 2 minutes and 14 minutes, forcing a complete restart of that section. I have tried it on a PC using Edge and Chrome, same failure, I have ran it on an Android phone, same failure. This is getting ridiculous - is it possible the same person that wrote their immigration software is responsible for this farce? Whoever wrote this junk should have their hands cut out so they can never touch a keyboard again, then burn out their eyes so they can never use a monitor again. Any ideas on how to get around this? It is definately their server as I can run two versions simultaneously, one on PC and the other on Android and when it goes to hell, it goes on both devices at the same time.
  8. Had those IRC junk on my CBR, they nade your butt cheeks pucker everytime you took a corner - Changed to Michelin Pilot Street and it was night and day, would never recommend IRC for anthing.
  9. Try these guys, I have used them many times in the past and you get great service, good prices and reasonable sgipping costs. ยางนอก Pirelli (พีแรลลี่) Diablo Scooter ขอบ 14 (29tire.com)
  10. Be prepared fpr some real circus hoop jumping, when desling with the ministry if of foreign sffairs, translations, copies, psrentns birth crts. etc. I used an agent in tye end it was so much hassle, and even then took more than 6 months. good luck - Question for you, why not marry in Thailand abd go the oppositr route?
  11. Thanks for all the suggestions, a lot of options to look at....probably try yo go down the UK route rather than bring too much over here
  12. What worries me is that oncw you die, they can overide your wishes once they get the death certificate which will give them total control and what you put in place is ignored. Got to look into setting this sort of thing up from the home country tather than hanfing over control to the Thai legal sysyem
  13. Thanks for that - will look into it, I worried about involving lawyers over here, I just need some way of making sure whatever I leave is not drained overnight. I wondered whether to try and do this from the UK side but thought it would be extremely complex for the communication from my remaining family to deal with.
  14. Anyone can help me out here with some advice? Married to a Thai lady and have a Thai / UK son. If I developed a terminal illness and wanted to make sure that the remaining family were taken care of - i.e, they have basically a monthly income for as long as the funds last, is this possible to do here? For my example, if I transferred 7 million baht from the UK here into my bank on my death. How could I set up some sort of monthly payment of say 50K per month to my remaining family? But this would prevent anyone justdiving in and taking the lot? Is there some way of setting up some sort of account that could pay them this every month without them using the death certificate to get hold of the entire lump sum? For me, I want to bring the last of what I have in the UK over here and put into some sort of trust that pays them a monthly sum that cannot be challenged after death. But I also want to put in some sort of provision that if there was to be some sort of emergency, they could access a 1 off payment. possible or not? Cannot really see that having it in a bank account would work as after death I would expect the next of kin could claim everything, Any thoughts? I just want to make sure they have adequate funds every month with the proviso for one off emergency payments id needed, but also make sure that they are not able to donate 5 million to a temple or similar. Thanks
  15. I woula love to get something from Lazada, but most of their products look like they could not handle a 3 Amp load let alone a surge from an electrical fault, most of their junk is Chinese trash that you really would not want to even plug into your wall sockets unless you were trying to burn the building down and claim on insurance!
  16. I nearly bought insurance, but never got round to it, that is a very good suggestion. I think it is about time that EGAT got into the 21st Century and started letting people know when they are going to mess with thew supply - it would be a good start, then start fining the retards that connect 500 Amp welders to the grid and fry everyone's supply. Problem here is the idea of "RESPONSIBILITY" is negated by Karma and what will be will be. When these so called adults with a 5 year old mentality realise actions have consequences (maybe financially) then things might get better.
  17. Thanks for that, it might just ne OK for the one room, I have used a lot of things from Belkin and the quality used to be pretty good (relatively speaking) It would be nice to get something that I could put between my <deleted> 100 Amp Chang Breaker and my consumer unit, but most of the stuff I can find online here in Thailand is either DC ir 3 Phase, a couple are designed to fit into the consumer unit but I can never find anything that fits the rails on my Square D Consumer unit.
  18. Hence the reason for the post.....practical suggestions would be a help. It would be nice to protect everything as it enters the Consumer Unit, but as a minimum, some sort of protection for one room that maybe needs 4-6 3 pin outlets would do.
  19. Charlie, where is the Electrical Forum? I can find Malaysia Singapore Extra Forums and a million other rooms but I cannot find Electrical or Computers? Thanks
  20. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but there seems to have been a massive reorder of the forums and I have no idea where the old Electrical forum has disappeared to! I have been having a few problems with my electrical mains supply - (It keeps getting cut off randomly) and when the power is restored it seems to give the system a bit of a blast to the point where I have had three TV's blown, (Backlight LED's and PSU fried) and now two PC's, (looks like fried RAM and a fried CPU) Obviously EGAT are not going to pay for the repairs so I have to bite the bullet again. What I was hoping for is can anyone give me some solid advice as to a decent surge protector that would prevent these devices getting destroyed? I would like to protect the rntire system from the Consumer Unit covering the entire house, but most of the problems have ocurred in one particular room, so even a good brand 4 output power strip would be better than nothing. It might be something to do with the way the house is wired but one room and its sockets are particularly prone to blowing devices - Any good soul out there that has suffered and found the answer, be very pleased to hear from you. (I bought a power strip many years ago that claimed to do everything, surge protection, earth fault detection etc. but it was just a piece of junk that did nothing - so if anyone has some knowledge of a product that works, please let me know) Thanks!
  21. It isn't the road that is narrow, it is the stupid and dangeroud design of having a U turn in the outside lane (that alone is complete madness) it is the fact that the lorry has to go into the left lane so it can swing around and get into the narrow U turn. Which in many instances at night means the truck is side on across all lanes with no visible lights. Why these idiots cannot design the same type of U turn that is used in places like Spain where there is an exit off the inside labe that then sweeps around and brings the vehicle into a safe spot at the side of the carriageway and the U turn becomes like a crossroads, with the U turning vehicle off the main carriage way
