Just another case of an incompetent fool operating a vehicle he knows nothing about, virtually all buses are geared appropriately to be able to climb most mountain roads,I call bs on bus shouldn't have been on the road.

Just another braindead idiot who shouldn't be behind the steering wheel of a bus, brake failure my ass, brain failure more like it,obviously doesn't know what gearboxes are for or how to use them properly, and if TAT are wondering why there's less tourists coming here, well with all these tourist buses suffering brake failure, they make want to start looking at this problem along with all the other scams.

Good, we may be able to buy half decent spuds in the future
Villa supermarket sells Thorpdale spuds,by far the best quality spuds you can buy in Australia, all the big wholesalers loved them,I carted 1000s bags of them.

When I done my will couple of years was all done at lawyers office,no requirement to visit any amphur,5k but total cost, lawyer office in Jomtien.

You could try out a setup with a CB radio, connected to an extremely powerful amplifier and in turn connect amplifier to a high powered speaker,I believe it works wonderfully well with offending speakers.

If you got a re-entry permit now it would expire on the date your current extension of stay ends in November.
Re-entry permits are only valid until the day the permit to stay they are issued for.
Thank you UJ,they were my thoughts also, better to be sure than sorry.
-
Another query for UJ,are re entry permits only good for the current permission to stay stamp,my situation is I'm going for a 90day report shortly, and thought I would kill 2 birds with the one stone,90 day report and re entry permit, but my permission to stay expires November and I'm travelling to Oz December after I renew my permission to stay,so if I got a re entry now on my current permission to stay would it be good for my December out and in.

I did yellow book in Pattaya a couple of years ago and you needed a witness, someone with a bluebook and ID that knows you.
OP, possibly needed the same unless they changed things.
Got mine at Pattaya city hall very early last year, required 2 Thai witnesses with their blue book and IDs.

You could try one of the many agents who claim they can get licenses, open bank accounts, for people staying here on tourist visas, but i'm not sure about someone staying on visa exempt

Electrolux, it's a no brainer, Electrolux bought all the knowhow off kelvinator and Westinghouse, 2 of the oldest fridge companies, I purchase a new Electrolux, about 300 lit.inverter, power consumption dropped 1000thb a month, compared to Panasonic Inverter econo model had previous.

Convenience of yellow book huge advantage for change address in green book, when selling or buying cars or bikes,no requirements go jomtien immi for cert. of residence.

Nonsense you call it,you must think you're someone important, went through the process early this year, all very straight forward and easy, get copy of yr pp certified at yr embassy,go mfa have certified copy of pp translated, 400 thb,go 3rd floor lodge all above docs,460thb, they'll send or you can wait for yr mfa certified copy of pp,all very straight forward.
-
Just received small package from US,sender sent the parcel thru US postal service, just over 2 weeks,i was able to track it all the way.
-
Got my yellow book and pink ID card early this year at pattaya city hall.
1.get certified copy of my pp from Oz embassy.
2. Have it translated and certified by MFA.
3. Go city hall with above docs including copies of chanote, blue book, 2 Thai witnesses with copies of their ID card and their blue house books.
Quite a bit involved, but pretty straight forward once you have all the app docs.

Different provinces have different rules on requirements to obtain a yellow book, best bet go to your local city hall office get a copy of required docs.

Got my yellow book and pink id card early this year at pattaya city hall, not too difficult if you all the appropriate docs.
1. Get certified copy of pport from yr embassy, go MFA 2nd flr, have certified copy pport translated, about 20 minutes, go 3rd flr hand in yr docs, I asked them to send me MFA certified docs, received 2 days later.
2. Then go pattaya city hall with MFA certified docs, pport, blue house book, copy chanote and 2 Thai witnesses, lady does interview with you, you and yr witness sign heap of paperwork, 2 weeks later go collect book and ID card

No new aircons just another fridge, everything else the same as last year, the new fridge came in I think November so the appliances are not the answer, fridges don't cost much to run.
Don't be so sure of that statement about fridges not costing much to run, I was getting regular elect bils around the 1600 bht a month, I was concerned about the new Panasonic fridge using too much power as it used to get extremely hot on the outside, nearly too hot to touch, went purchased a new Electrolux, first power bill with new fridge, 1000 bht cheaper and all 6 subsequent bills.

Visited my local Krungsri bank the other day to enquire about confirming my funds that I transfer from Oz have come from abroad, manager of the branch printed and signed a letter stating above, all done in 5 minutes, no charge,to the op, I presume this is what your post relates to.

I really, really don't understand what the problem is with 90 day reporting. Every three months I get to visit Sri Racha, spend maximum 5 minutes at Immigration, say hello to the ladies there and grab a BK burger on the way back.
What's not to like and what's the problem?
I look at it this way: would I be happy as a UK citizen, living in the UK and the 'govt' asking all temporary immigrants from (e.g. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, wherever) to submit to 90 day reporting. Damn right I would. So, not a problem for me here.
These 90 day visa whinges are really boring, especially as (I believe) it can be done by post or online. <deleted>.
Totally agree, myself go to jomtien immi the other day, in and out within 5 minutes at the most, some people like to whinge just for the sake of it me thinks.

Were you able to get your extension?
Yours is the only report of Jomtien not accepting proof of income from an embassy.
Yes, I produced a copy of part of my super fund account in Oz, she looked at it, asked couple of questions then consult her boss, then said all ok, then tongue in cheek said to me with a smile, don't waste yr money again with embassy letter.
