digging is always good, but always consider the source.
not saying they are never correct, but i would be wary of trading stocks based on epoch times falun gong propaganda.
Indeed. Hence, my clear citation of the source and my disclaimer. As opposed to "I heard/read/watched..." without verification of claims and my advice for due diligence.

would that be brightgene pharma in suzhou? if so, they did not patent the drug, as gilead has had the patent in china since 2016.
they have developed a generic version and are preparing to mass produce under license from gilead, currently awaiting approval and contract formalities.
also read somethere, a wuhan university was applying for a patent on a treatment that involves the use of remsidivir. don't know whether that would affect gilead's patent on the drug itself.
Coincidentally, I was just looking this up. You are correct re: BrightGene. I am still digging. Intriguing.

A little late I think, its not news in Asia.
Josh Philipp from The Epoch Times reported last week that Chinese pharma firm controlled by Jiang Zemin's grandson pre-emptively patented the medicine. So yes, I would do my research. I cannot speak to the validity of the journalist's claims, but it would be something I would look into. Due diligence is every investor's best friend.

So how do you clean your bog?
We use a poop & grease eating bacteria powder called microbiotech (available at most hardware stores and Big C (I think)) about once a month. Half a pouch for each (2) porcelain throne. Sprinkle it in and let it sit over night so the bacteria bloom/become activated. In the a.m. use the brush and give a flush and off they go to the turd buffet in the tank. Haven't had a prob in 7yrs. Though, you will have to brush the toilet from time-to-time as the bacteria do form an easily removable yet unattractive film below the waterline. Of course this only works if you don't put cleaning chemicals in your toilet.

If not a concern, why have to keep chiming in on things that don't concern you? Get a hobby or some friends, "pal."

You have a non O, the OP hasn't. The visa he has is a Non B which I ve no idea what type of visa this is. Guessing B - Business. Non Business?!?!
Very different circumstances I think. Your visa Non O that's a marriage/retirement yes?
Just throwing out my experience and advice for the OP. Thank you for repeating what I already stated in my post: that we don't have the same visas. In any case, why is our respective visa status a concern to you?

Thanachart. UOB. Bangkok Bank. Those are what I use. I have a Non-O. No WP. Call the Call Center first and ask all relevant questions. Then get the CSR's name. If you get any pushback from clerks at local branch upon opening ask them politely to call said CSR for clarification. Worked for me. Good luck!

I'd agree. But in the short-term where would our citizens get their medicines (many life-saving) until local production can meet local demand? Bring the manufacturing home first. A big blow to the Chinese economy. Then hit them with sanctions once we can reliably support our own citizens.

Go figure! The CCP are duplicitous human rights abusers and unscrupulous profiteers bent on world domination and preservation of the Party. Who knew?! For those calling for sanctions and boycotts, it is best Western nations withdraw their factories first. Esp. pharma. Bring the jobs home. Especially those that are critical to national security and health of citizens. As long as the CCP has an arsenal of biological agents and control of(according to some reports) up to 80% of pharma manufacturing for some nations, the rest of the world is caught by the short and curlies.

An insidious disease has been unleashed upon humanity (with possibly a second and subsequent waves on their way). The profiteers are waiting in the wings. Prepare for a new world.

Curious as to what this woman is doing to be infected twice. Let's say we use the gov's numbers and I'll just round it to 3,000 or so infected.
3,000 out of 70 million people is a pretty rare occurrence. That's like a 0.000000428571429% infection rate.
And this woman gets it twice? She should go out and buy some lottery tickets ????
Is she a medical professional treating COVID-19 patients? Gotta be some explanation as to how she got exposed twice given the above odds.
If recall correctly she had returned from the US in March. Occupation was not identified. Trying to find the link but it is somewhere on thaivisa.

After this discover, I think you will find immunity is less then we first thought.
We are only at the start of a long medical and economic journey.
Just reading on another thread a woman from Chaiyapum also tested positive again after being released from hospital in BKK. This is far from over.

yes indeed, but remember they are gamblers (addicted ones possibly) who like to gamble - even with their own lives! I wonder what the odds are??
Unfortunately gambling with others' lives as well. As they will go out and spend winnings or return home to family as losers. Either way they are all spreaders. 200k/108 gamblers=these are not hi-rollers both financially or intellectualy.

When I was a young, single and hansum man back in the day, I always found the phrase "my OTHER girlfriend has never asked for gold" gets to the heart of the matter fairly quickly. Good luck to you. And store sharp objects safely away.
Addendum: the heart of the matter appears to be money in your situation. Which is fair enough. But like everything in life, give what you comfortably can without sacrificing your happiness. If someone loves you, they will understand.

Sometimes I take Valerian to help me sleep, & always have very vivid dreams. Wake up feeling refreshed too.
I drink Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time EXTRA Tea w/valerian every night. It is magic. For yrs I have suffered from anxiety and depression as a result of PTSD: night terrors, waking up with clenched fists, restless sleep etc. Was on all manner of meds that messed me up more when awake. Valerian has been such a blessing. Vivid AND peaceful dreams. Really helps in allowing the body and mind get the proper rest it needs. And no groggy after effects. Wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. And no more synthetic psycho-active chemicals!

Hi Blake. I was in a similar situation. Was poised to bounce to Laos early to apply for a new visa then the borders closed the weekend I intended to travel. So I ended up going with an agent (upcountry) for 1 yr extension. Though, unlike you I had not already submitted required docs. I paid for the entire process. If you could negotiate a reduced fee for only the pick-up that might be a way to go. I applied about 2 weeks ago. And today just dropped off my passport w/ agent. Tomorrow pick it up at agent's office. No need to go to immi. Money well-spent imo in these uncertain times.

Great advice if you want and can afford to live like Howard Hughes. Where I live, the "mask of invincibility" seems to be doing the trick. Worn around the chin. Zero social distancing. People swarming vendors at local markets. But they are wearing the mask! Albeit improperly. Some have even assured me they cannot be infected due to attending local temple with over 1000 ppl in attendance and being sprinkled with "holy water." Bless them. This is far from over.

All incoming flights are barred for the moment (until 18 April). Possibly beyond. Unfortunately you got to wait it out. I do note that daily flights from China to Canada continue into YVR and YYZ unabated. Does Canada really have that many citizens/PRs in China? Check flight radar 24 for CES581/MU581 and others. Enlightening. Hope you can get back to your family and life in Thailand safely and ASAP.
