Are you criticizing Trump's tariffs or Thailand's tariffs?

Thailand's are long overdue for an overhaul (gee, I wonder why economic development at the bottom of the economic chain is somewhat stagnant here; and the entire tax code needs an overhaul if they are to get off protective tariffs, and I DO pay my Thai taxes) - but I'm not a citizen here so I have no meaningful input on this besides discussing with my Thai friends.

US tariffs are dumb (and, unfortunately, I am a citizen there because of anchor citizenship - so it has a direct tax effect on me - though my bigger concern is value of the US dollar and the general international order) - because the US has a developed industrial base and capitalism works on the basis of added value to an existing commodity, and the US doesn't have the manpower for an integrated and domestic vertical supply chain... unless you'd like a planned economy?

Lol. America literally built china from a backwater sh1thole into what it is. Just because the leadership over the last 60 years has been corrupt to the bone giving all our money away doesn't mean china stands any actual chance. They can't even take taiwan lol. There were less than 10M births last year in china, good luck taking care of the hundreds of millions of excess old people. Maybe Xi will just kill them off like every other commie does.

I for one support Xi harvesting you freedumb<deleted>ers for adrenochrome. Your nation is a disease.

Not sure it's that ridiculous, unless you think the packed masses living in the city should have the right to tell the rural farmers and land owners what to do.

They should - or should the minority of rural farmers be telling the majority packed masses what to do instead?

Seriously though, just get a divorce... It'll be less painful.

Or don't... And I can watch the civil war on Livestreams.

It'll be a riot either way.

Quiet reminder: Thailand had by August this year mass deported 145,000 Burmese migrants.

You didn't know about this because only Western States are not allowed to do it.

    (Here's a source.)

You're not really grasping the difference between someone who came over a year ago and someone who's lived in Thailand "statelessly" for decades. I don't know why you're not grasping it, but you're not; try harder.

You interested in brains? Non-drivel from an uneducated ho'? But consider the flexibility.

Nobody asked for brains (ability to discuss geopolitics for instance) - but an opinion and/or ability to do more than blindly stare at a phone screen counts for something...

As for the "uneducated" having "brains" or not... well, as we see from this forum, no matter what column they fit into - that doesn't stop them from spewing their opinions and thoughts all over the interwebs, at least for Farangs. In any case - I've found my little niche of women that entertain me, only problem is now when I sit down at a bar and hear some meat bag say "you want lady take care?"* I need to take a deep breath and count down from 10 so the bottle doesn't go flying. Easy fix though, don't go to bars and save money while having more fun.

Anyway - after 50 years of industrial scale bar complexes - I think both businesses and customers have successfully sorted themselves and the reason everything has become so monotonous in terms of location, concept, and model.

*Because what? I came here to watch paint dry? Dumb question.

Or just stressed thst this can be pre--cancerous and she heard only the word cancer.

After discussion with her it was called "pre cancerous" a year ago - she was aware of the difference and the reason she went from "I'll deal with it later" to "can you drive me on monday?". As with most similar stories I've read here, she went from feeling regret to relief to "never delaying that again".

  7. To give you an update on how this went. They took the biopsy, came back ten days later HSV1. Thank whoever for that. But the seems the doc who made the initial call mustve really felt the need to get her in for a check so decided to scare her since she had a previous abnormality she didn't follow up on.

He’s visited Thailand twice. Tried the single male touristy thing. Gogo bar, beer bar and freelance on beach road in pattaya. Now he gets on his rented Wave, rides around until he finds a good looking girl sitting outside a massage place. He goes in for an oil massage (300thb), when the “do you want boom boom” question pops up he decides whether she’s worthy or not. If not, he’s had his daily massage. He claims having his body rubbed in a nice air conditioned room, fondling, touching, talking in a quiet and relaxed environment helps him to make the right decision, and for just an extra (1000thb).  In comparison to the other three methods, he claims the cost, noise, pressure to buy lady drinks, the pressure to take out a girl quickly does not always lead to a good outcome.
well done mate was my response.

Same reason I just call over girls I know when they have free time to hang out and want an extra 1000-1500... not need to go blow money on LDs, BFs, etc. etc., and most importantly none of that "up to you" drivel only a brainless meat bag would use as an answer to a question.

  9. I don't frequent this part of the forum much... But another medical situation brought me here and I thought I'd share what's worked for me. Walking it off, but it takes time - two years ago during my annual physical I tipped the scales at 135 kg... That was a "breaking point" for me, since I just clicked and said "there's no way I'm doing 140"... I started walking, a lot, skip the baht bus, moto taxi, etc. walk everywhere you can. I also do one (moderately sized) meal a day*, sometimes two, and I DID NOT stop drinking. With time my 135 has become 95 with a goal of 85. While these aren't the best "dramatic weight loss" results I can attest to those who want to begin that it is a method which works and you do not bounce up and down.

*One problem I noticed is I would often see food I like and just eat it because it's delicious. Instead now I have a list of food I like and simply cross off an item until the list is complete and start over, this way I don't succumb to "fear of missing out" on a delicious meal.

I'm sure this isn't shocking news, but to those who are wanting to follow it and have reservations about it being effective, I can assure you it is.

  10. So yesterday I was hanging out with a girl I know and she gets a phone call out of the blue - long story short, she goes outside and then she comes into the room from the balcony and simply says "I have cervical cancer, doctor said don't worry and go to Chonburi Cancer Hospital on Monday - how can I not worry?". Well, I've known her a while and don't have much else to do and she's terrifyingly young to get such a sinister disease so I'd like to give her the best odds of survival.h

What do contributors have to offer as far as advice? I'm lucky myself and have never been in a hospital for anything more than my annual physical "body scan". So I'm completely out of my depth here. Most advice I've found is that the Chomburi hospital is poorly staffed and private hospital will likely be much better. But I genuinely don't know.

There are rude people all over the world, it's just that the Chinese and the Russians have a near monopoly on rudeness, they're both incredibly arrogant, and they both have a very false sense of purity. For the Chinese it's rather amusing considering that they have a government that trades in organ harvesting, locks people up for the tiniest little criticism, or their religious beliefs in concentration camps, and several restricts their import market, engages an unfair trade practices, is a major bully in the South China Sea, I could go on all day about how heinous the CCP is.

As far as Putin goes what can one say about Putin and the Kremlin? Corrupt beyond that the wildest reaches of any imagination, morally bankrupt serial killers, state sanctioned sports doping programs, both are parasite nations, to a staggering degree.

They're right up there with Gun "enthusiasts" from freedumbland.
