  1. To the OP

    Khun piset…..aka - u r a special friend

Well I think there is no such thing as a special friend.

OK maybe a good friend, close friend, or best friend, but I think there is no such thing as special friend.

So in this case and context of yours, I would have to say….more likely she’s thinking of you as…..

    More than "just" friends,

    or

Not only friend but she likes you more than friend but avoid using the direct words

Honestly, she’s hitting on you !!!

    Hope this help

  2. To the OP....here is my take

She is “not respecting you“, you should talk to her “seriously” about this/your feeling..... and give her another chance. If it didn't work out just dump her.

If she’s doing this, this early in your relationship, it only will lead to other things such as cheating etcs……

Dont get your heart broken. Trust me on this, there are other nice girls out there for you .

The girls (many, plenty), once they know that the guy cannot leave them..... they will keep doing what they want even if the guys don't like it.

  3. You have to look at the big picture first.

All of your employees should feel that they are prized employees and team players. If they don't then there is a problem.

Then the next step is to show favorism or give rewards/ formal recognition to the one that never showed up late. I would bet your problem of having the late or no show will be reduced.

Thai people love recognition, ribbon, and trophy, btw. :)

  4. To the OP

You want to open a restaurant and have no clue how to go about.

So you come to TV asking advices how to open a successful restaurant from bunches of strangers who have in many cases here,…. never owned any business in their entire life or ever seen a balance sheet.

R U kidding yourself?….yeah right, this is the place to get advices on “ How to open a successful business, for dummies!!!”

WooHoo.... Have you seen the statistics on the success rate of farangs owned businesses in Thailand?

Seriously, there are many ways/places to do your serious research, but “I think” this place is not one of them.

i knoe.. but da thing is i didnt come here to ask for advice. i just wanna know what da legal terms are. and people just started telling me all those random and negative stuffs!!! besides.. i dont need my restaurant to be successful.. just want it up n runnin cuz thats wad interests me!

  5. ecotourism? you mean tents?

Bla..this is not like your typ camping trip, grandpa!!!

Ecotourism is where people make their holiday choices based on ethical decisions with regarding to the sustainable environment issues in mind.

Like hang-gliding over/across the national rain forest zoo of CostaRica instead of walking through it….to see the birds and the bees.....

    LOL.........hare krishna....hare hare hare....

Another fashion word to sell less for more money

    Ok here one for U…

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Now may be he can help waxing a moon that spreads the white lotus of good fortune for all living entities, including YOU....

If you don’t think that….”sell less for more money” is also a good business sense

    Am I making sense huh?……hmm :)

  6. Isn't Kazakhstan part of Asia too?......Well that makes their women......asian women too.. :D

    HOT women ..yeah :)

    the one's in pattaya aren't :D

The one on tv back home are

    haha...a frequent visitor of Pattaya...huh, james? :D

Nice try teacup, if you think I am gonna waste my 5000 post on replying to you - well you can just forget about it. :D

    Ouch!!!….LOL

Ok enjoy the rest of your remaining light yrs in peace then, U r dismissed

    .

    .

    .

    .

Oh btw…U know the old saying…..what weakens people most is fear of wasting their time and strength. :D

  7. oh no no ofcourse not... you speak and write ang krit amazingly...

It was just the fact that you summarized....

Perhaps in a bid to help the lazy folk and purposely excluding the religious points which a Thai would never philosophize over in public...

It was certainly not your english that gave it away, just your mind!

    My thai mind….huh? :) …..oii

Well you know the saying…..“Mind is a terrible thing to waste”

….and I didn’t find the religious talking to be any relevant to the core topic at hand

    So basically, I didn’t omit anything, but….. It’s YOU, who added the extra,Dj…..haha :D

  8. I know this will get flamed for being Cynical...

But in my opinion ' LOVE' is just a word - taken way too seriouly and out of context these days...

A word which we have attatched so many ideals and misconceptions over the ages, leading to a hugely distorted and over rated experience of the term....

With many different connotations when it comes to cross borders or cultural translations

    .

    .

    .

    .

This is 'Love' from their perspective... (a noble thing)

These are my opinions of course! I don't expect others to agree...

In short......Everyone feels love differently and has diff definition, in his or her own way.

    I think that's the summary of what you're saying.....chaimai ja ? :)

  9. My wife has a trait which I find quite undesirable. Whenever I am depressed or have the blues it seems that she tries her hardest to make me feel worse. It's like she's kicking me when I'm down.

On the flip side to this whenever I am going through a really good time she is right there to ride that wave with me.

The fact that I can not rely on her in my moments of need really depresses me. Is this common in other Thai women as well or did I just wind up with a cold hearted b*tch?

    The answer: NOOOOOOOOOOO

    Kicking when you're down?...

May be she had learn from example....."YOURS" merhaps?

Have you ever heard the saying.........Sometimes love can be PAINFUL!?!?.....lol :D

But over all, this is just another "usual", negative, and over generalization of thai women and the things they do....to their shining knight wrapped in aluminum foil.

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz :)

  11. My mom always said to me......

"before you say anything.....always ask yourself "How would I react if someone said this to me?"

Well I wouldn't want people to address me as "MUN"......so I wouldn't use it upon others

I have a question for Teacup, and other Thai contributors here, on a related term, which I believe Thais only say about some farangs, in some circumstances: รู้มาก - I suspect that most unsuspecting farangs allow their egos to puff up over that, but several Thai people have told me that they would consider it highly insulting, if said about them, because that is usually used to refer to animals (e.g., a dog that learns tricks, like rolling over, fetching the newspaper, etc.).

Could you please explain the Thai perspective on that term? Thank you.

Are you talking about ….MUN “รู้มาก – roo maak” /...... MUN “รู้มาก – roo maak” mai dee?

It has depreciating implication of warning “really” to others that “YOU know too much, no good”

….. because they can not trick/cheat you the same they can do with farangs/or others who know little

Well that doesn’t sound like praising of your knowledge or a form of respect to you, isn’t it?

You know in Thailand, you can have everything from….fake purse, to fake watch, and often times even.. fake friends/people around you too.

That’s why I think it’s very beneficial for farangs to learn the thai language, ….it will help you to understand the thais whom you are dealing with better, and about their sincerity/or insincerity behind the smiles.

  12. Noodles are the default food for us, as in, what to eat? I dunno what you want to eat? Up to you,.....ok, noodles.

    me too

Most thai kids ate noodles for lunch in school while I was growing up......and I'm sure they still do!!!....LOL

    YUM YUM tho :)

  13. Am i the only one who feels uncomfortable with the frequent use of the word 'girls' rather than 'women'?

woman would infer someone older ie maturer, girls is correct whether you are comfortable or not , both on the older and maturer front.

Well to me the X factor is............in the maturity of the mind

    Same goes between ......a boy and a man.....also :)
