so idiots they are bord so idiots they will die, incredible !
Maybe not stupid at all. Maybe just because they know what part the most, or maybe all of those in Pattaya that get infected lived or work. You have to be a little bit smarter before you call anyone an idiot.

This is the time guys.
Step 1. Ask a women for a date at say 8 pm. It will be sheap as no restaurants open.
Step 2. 9.30 pm or what time is suitable, tell her that you will escort her to her home so she get there safely.
Step 3. When at her home, say something like, Oh, I forget the curfew. No chance for me to get home in time. I have to stay at your place over night.

Sweden is really quit odd case today. What I understood is that their government stepped back and let a civil servant practically run the country.
This is what happens, when populists, from left or right are gaining power. They are useless as leaders.
Hopefully Sweden find her way soon enough. Otherwise Sweden is going to be sick man of Europe.
That is wrong. What the Swedish gouvernment have said is that a pandomi is not a political thing, so we have to listen to those that are specialists in this subject.

The problem is actually not very difficult to solve. It is only to decide what is most important. Control of where tourists are or control of the virus. If you look at earlier statement from Prayut, The answer is allready given. To stop the virus is the number one choice. Skip the control of tourists for time being. But then of course this is Thailand. Where no one takes responsibility.

If we assume that the number of performed daily tests is what is reported, 339 and 89 of those, on a given day, was postive and also assume that they did those tests in a random way that would mean that, statistical, about 1/4 of the people living in Thailad that day had catch the virus.

A virus is produced by the host body and humans can't get viruses from animals either.
The only way to introduce a virus into a body is by intravenously injecting it into the blood stream.
That's how people get Malaria, Dengue fever, Ross River fever (I've had it) and a host of other mosquito born viruses. So about a miljon people the world around have put a needle into their bloodvessel to get the virus and more people are doing it daily because it is so fun to get the virus? Please, do your self a big favour, turn of your computer and never turn it on again. You just make a fool of your self.

Oh my Buddha. Another one of those deniers. Yes, many people in Thailand die because of traffic. But what on earth does that have to do with a worldwide pandemic? Do you understand what you are saying? I believe no, so let me tell you. The logic in your reasoning says that there are hundreds of ways to die so why bother one more? I hope you follow your logic all the way and never bother a doctor if you get ill in some way. Just lay down and see if the illness or you pass by. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hmm! Kindred soul maybe?
I am not a sex tourist, nor do I sleep with ladies, or lady boys.
No chance of me catching any STD.
I am not resident here, but I have been coming to Thailand for many years on holiday.
Seen it all!
Why have I chosen Pattaya as my home base for many years?
Water sports!
I love the sea and I go sailing here.
It is convenient to get here from Bangkok, and they have a very good sailing club here.
I do not believe we are kindred in the real meaning. But otherwise I am with you. But we have some difference. I have lived in Thailand for the last six years and for one year before that. I am married with a thai women since 5 years ago. not a bargirl and not young, she is 57 years old and we are living in a small village at the countryside in the middle of nowhere. I, as you like Pattaya or I rather prefer Jomtien and also is a big fantast of sailing, even if I not have had a big chance to do it here (my wife is panical scared of tsunami and when we visit the coust, she refuse to go less than six meters from the beach, and even if I love sailing, I love my wife even more and accept).

Sorry to have hurt your positive feelings. Partly curfews actually do work, ...with a large public support and a strong police/army enforcement, both which can hardly be expected here. But, then, a a total curfew would'n work either for the same reasons. And the little green men with a huge ego don't seem to be ready to swallow the, very much expectable, huge fiasco of such a measure, proving the very limited extent of their real authority with the populace...
Ok, I understand, but we are talking about Thailand I suppose, and then as I undersand it neither me or you believe that it would work with partly curfew. About the little green man I agree with you to 100 %.

Don't know where you come from, but pity you didn't get back there in time! I'm not Thai, or obsessed by Thainess at all, but you're the kind of misfit(!) making decent expats' lifes difficult, get lost!
What I tried to say was that a partly crefew do have a very limited effect. Obviously you did not understand that and thus I failed with my intent and I have to apologize.

i mean .... it's not all strict and exact by the rules. Common sense does play a part .... cheers.
And as we have seen from the example in Phuket with a roofparty a couple of days a go and before that a party on a hotel, I believe that was in Chiang Mai, common sence is what we can expect both from thais and farrangs?

what would you think.... ? you have disobeyed the social distance clearances between people and god knows what other laws you've broken at a time when stringent measures are in place to kurb spreading of the virus.
some people in life just make it hard for themselves continually because they think all is good ... i'm a smarty .... lol
Hi Smarty, I did not say that I should. I just pointed at one of the problem that could occer if a curfew is not total, 24 hours a day, but withsome windows for shopping and things like that..

So, lets say I invent friends to a big party 9.30 pm. we are partying, drinking and dancing to music on high level and at 10.30 pm some neighbour call the police and tell them what is going on. So what should the police do? they could, because the curfve not ask us to leave before 4 am. So the party could go on.

And how many will, those days when everyting is locked down, be affected of this? Quite a few I guess. There have to be more to come if this should have any other than marginal effect.
-
Three quarters of Covid-19 cases are foreigners
I certainly do not understand this interest in pointing out what nationality a victim is. The only thing that should be of interest to Thailand is how many people are affected and thus can spread the infection.

I tend to agree with metapod. I do feel that the goal does not justify the means and it going to be far more hurtful that the virus itself.
We are basing our judgement on numbers which are wrong (not manipulated) by definition as no one knows the real figures and they are certainly much more than the official results, meaning that maybe, although highly contagious (not airborne though) we are not sure to what extent
And could you please tell me in what way that make any reacting to the numbers positive or negative wrong, and also please explain to me how the economical down spiral is to blame on the politicans who all over the world try to help industries to survive while main actors like investors stop theire investment in a try to save theire money.

The reason is people like you who are ignorant and driven by fear. Zero critical thought or rationality at all.
Instead of destroying the world economy, we should be isolating and quarantining the old and sick, while the rest of the world moves on. The hospitals will be able to cope fine without needing to look after all of the aging and sick patients, and the healthy individuals will develop immunities to the virus. The rest need to wait for a vaccine, which will most likely be 14-18 months away.
Look at the actual data instead of just reading headlines and death stats and freaking out like a retard.
The median age of death in Italy from covid-19 is 81 years old, which 90% of the deaths being those over 70. I can understand if that scares you as most of you on here are old as <deleted>, but if you are an at-risk group, you absolutely should be isolating and quarantining.
The damage done by the political knee-jerk reactions of shutting down the world economy is going to cause FAR MORE harm to FAR MORE people than covid-19 ever could.
https://swprs.org/a-swiss-doctor-on-covid-19/
"According to the latest data of the Italian National Health Institute ISS, the average age of the positively-tested deceased in Italy is currently about 81 years. 10% of the deceased are over 90 years old. 90% of the deceased are over 70 years old."
You are totally wrong I am absoluteltly not ignorant to anything (to ignore the reality as you seems to advocate will however be). You also are wrong when you say that "The damage done by the political knee-jerk reactions of shutting down the world economy is going to cause FAR MORE harm to FAR MORE people than covid-19 ever could". Those who started the economical down spiral was not the politicans. It was the investors trying to survive theire money. The politicans, at least in most contries, provinces and so on, "only" try to survive the country, province and so on and they of course also have to make a decition, what is the most important at this time? To save life or to save the economy. Your talk about who dies and their ages, just show that you are ignorant, selfish and that you not unerstand the complex of the situation. Let me tell you that in my homecountry, the youngest person that are given emergency Care because of the Corona virus is twentone years old and there are many between 21 -50 in the country that get the same Emergency Care caused of the Corona virus. Probably some of them are going to die and some of them will survive, but the thing is that they make it hard for the hospital to tke the right care of other patients that not have the Corona virus but will die because of lack of needed treatment because the hospital have to make decitions who to give treatment in first place. Open your eyes and realise the reality.
