  1. How secure are the electronic temperature gauges we are forced to use as soon as we enter 7/11 or any other major retail chain? I come from a Nordic country and when I lived there my normal temperature was 37.5 to 37.8 degrees Celsius regardless of where or how the temperature was measured.

Here in Thailand I always have 36.1 degrees C. I have a hard time understanding why I would have a lower and constant body temperature in a warmer country. where I basically always sweat because my body temperature is too high.

You just don't answer questions do you.  I will break down in simple terms for you.

I never used the term Brexit. I said leaving the EU.

Using Wikipedia as a source is not acceptable because:

    • Wikipedia is not considered scholarly
    • Wikipedia acknowledges that its information is not properly vetted
    • The site has included hoaxes
    • People have created and edited pages to drive traffic to other websites
    • Anyone can edit or vandalize the site

If your university allows this then it is not a quality university.

So again, has the EU done a better job than the UK in its vaccine rollout? Its a simple yes or no, or will you refuse to answer this like the others.

Once again read my lips I have not said anything in that matter, just that UK not is not trustable.  About the university, you have to understand that how and what you can quote in an academical paper is not up to an individual university. it is decided on a much higher level.

Go and read our own postings. You have used the term Brexit not me.  You really need to keep up and direct your comment to the poster who you aimed it at who also I agree with by the way.

Well if Wikipedia say it then it must be true. There is a reason at universities and writing research papers that you can't use Wikipedia as references. They are considered a source that is questionable and they lie.

So in plain English do you think the EU has done a better job with the vaccine rollout than the UK?

So if it is not Brexit you talk about, what is it than that UK have paid so much for to EU? About Wikipedia, they as all internet and also written papers should be carefully used, but not accepted? I work as a teacher and researcher at an university so I know that they all could be used in academic writing. For internet (including Wikipedia) your quote should include the date you visited the site.

And no, I have never said that EU have done a better job than UK. What I said was that EU should learn to never trust UK.

Can you please read what I put. I never mentioned  the EU Vaccines, you did. Maybe you don't understand what the 'coffers' refers to.

It refers to all the money paid into the EU over its membership time (also the EEC). Still trying to defend the poor management of the EU on the vaccine farce I see.

Maybe you should learn to understand what you read and that your answer should not be about another subject. The article is about EU, UK, and vaccin nothing else an by the way about Brexit (if we should mention that), "Immigration to the UK was identified during the campaign as a threat to the economy, security and British (cultural) identity. [12] The issue of immigration was seen as one of the most important reasons for those who voted to leave the EU". (Cited from Wikipedia).

The UK paid far more into the EU coffers than they got back. What the EU should learn is that their whole entity will not survive if they continue in the way they are, on their domination of all Europe.  The UK showed the EU that they can't bully everyone.

The EU should learn to get their vaccine programme in order and stop deflecting from their incompetence, like postponing the Oxford vaccine.

It is a pity your are trying to defend the EU for their failure.

Can you please tell me how much more UK have paid to EU for vaccin? You mix things up and not even get it right. UK started Brexit because they did not want foreigners in the country.

  6. Thailand was the first country outside China to be affected by Covid19, but for some unknown reason, Thailand did surprisingly well. Then, about a month ago, the infection in Thailand began to increase sharply. In less than a month, the number of infections doubled compared to the total number of infections in 2020 and reporting continues to rise by 400 to 900 domestik cases per day. This is partly due to a number of bargirls who worked in Myanmar and smashed across the border, and partly to a number of illegal guest workers from Myanmar who worked mainly in the fishing industry in Thailand. Whatever is true is my question, do you think the Thai regime will ever admit that it's all because it's lax and accepts of corruption? Without it, this situation, in my opinion, could never have arisen if we assume that the reports from the first year were correct. What do you think?

  7. First of all a poll where less than 2000 people in a country with more than 67 million inhabitant should not be published as it is more than an unsafe answer. Secondly it should not mention that those who not pay tax should not have the vaccin as it is their right to not pay tax as they have a low income. Third, all have to understand that a pandemic is global and that none goes safe as long as not all get the right treatment. This article is a part of the political right wing and should be treated as that.

You just don’t get it. It’s simply the way they are and how it is done and there’s nothing malicious or rude about. That’s just the way you interpret it, wrongfully so.

By the way, I’m pretty sure that there’s way more things perceived rude by Thais about the way Falangs behave, in their country nonetheless, than the other way round.

I used to live in Thailand for 10 years and I found Thais to be very welcoming, non-confrontational and polite in general. Of course the ones that work in the tourism industry are a different story because they have to put up on a daily basis with rude falangs who yell and bitch and complain about everything.

Lastly, when you talk about Thais to your friends and you refer to Thais as Thais you’re doing more or less the exact same thing the Thais do when they refer to you as farang.

Learn to read before you answer. I wrote that from a western perspective. they act rude and unpolite. I have not talked about a thai perspective. I did not write that I  call the natives thai, but the opposite, that I never call them "thai". About tourism places, I have for shorter times lived in such places, but there it have never happen to me that I have been called "falang". For the last eight years I have lived in a small village in the middle part of Thailand and it is from what I have experienced here I am talking.

  9. Was on/in Cebu seven years ago. At the Island there are some very nice waterfalls and in one village the fishermen take you out for snorkling with whalesharks. Town, nice people, everyone speaks very good English. Easier to get western food then in Thailand.  You get more for your money than in Thailand. In the town there is a big mall outside there are tables. Young woman sitting alone at a table there is nearly guaranteed a freelancer. Taxi cheap (I hired one fore a hole day for 300 pesos. Travelling more than 200 kilometers).

  10. Political morons. At one time they have to understand that it is a word wide pandemi going on and that it is the politicians all over the word that have let it go on. If you in a country not give all the people living there free  vaccin there will always be some how refuse. What you do with them? Regardless if they are thais or farangs? Kick them out or just let them be? A vaccin taken two times does not help forever. So if you want a Covid free country you have to understand that you have to give the vaccin free for all living in the country.

  11. I do not say that that Prayut himself is corrupt, but according to official documents, Prayut when he toke over as PM, said it was to stop the gouverment corruption. Every person in the Thai gouverment has to declare their assets. 2014 Prayut declared assets for 1 million baht. Today his assets is worth 20 billions baht. PM of Thailand get a yearly salary of close to 1.5 million baht, so he must have done some really good investments over this six years.
