If the above options you have mentioned do not appeal to the gentleman, he could always just do visa runs,and why not? It's what people have been doing for a hell of a long time and with very little problems.

I've been on covid extensions from the beginning, no problems whatsoever. Very straight forward and immigration have usually been friendly.What do mean by pay, pay 1900 or pay something else?

I don't think that's the case here, people knew exactly when the last date to apply was.Anybody planning to stay longer here has a huge time window to apply. They can apply 2 weeks before the end in most immmigration offices.

Your reason makes no sense. Makes no difference if you have covid extensions,they are there too be used. Use them while you still can.

I wouldn't be to sure about it being extended again. With borders open I can't see it being continued.
