No mention that a famous singer "survived" in the OP or the link, what kind of reading is that?
It has been edited out since this topic was posted.

You must be joking. Wait times at public hospitals are 5-6 hours, and the strongest pain medication available is Tramadol.
The average income in my GF's village is 2500 baht/month, people who can't work get a pension of 600 baht/month once they hit 60. 800 baht/month if they make it to 80.
I suppose there is plenty of food if one likes living on a diet of bananas, windfall rice, and frogs out of the domestic septic tank.
Contrast that, which I do not doubt is true, with the various threads on here where people say that it is not possible to live in Thailand on less than 60K, 80K or whatever daft figure they come up with.

There are many videos online by people in the US who live in their cars. I remember one woman who was employed as an aircraft technician who work on Boeings but she could not afford to rent.

If you wouldn't mind... What's the process with the casino crossing? Anything needs to be done or just rock up to the pier?
As you drive in to the Andaman Club ignore a signpost directing you to a car park on the right. Keep heading towards the waterfront. There is another car park there and I have never had a problem getting a space. The immigration/ticket building is adjacent to that car park. First go to the immigration window which is straight ahead as you walk into the building. The ticket people will not sell you a ticket unless immigration have given you the nod of approval. The ticket desk is about five metres away to the right. There is an ATM in the building. The ferries are hourly but I do not know the time of the last ferry back.
The ferries are quite impressive with three 250 horsepower outboards and the crossing only takes about ten minutes each way. There is nothing much of interest at the Andaman Club. I don't gamble but there is a second rate duty free shop selling cigarettes with strange names. Generally I skip the golf cart ride up the hill to the club and just wait at immigration for the next ferry back.
On the day I travelled in September I was the only farang there. The others were mostly Andaman Club employees and perhaps the odd gambler.
On arrival back at the Thai side you need a completed arrival card and after receiving a new stamp you are on the way back to Phuket.
I have a Non Imm O multiple entry visa. I cannot speak to how they deal with other categories.

It was open in September; albeit with hefty price hikes from pre-covid times.
I recommend you use the Andaman Club as opposed to the port. Price pre-covid was 1000 Baht. When I crossed there in September 2600 Baht.

That is sure to work.

I agree. I use DHL for Thailand to UK now.
I gave up on Thai post as they have proven to be too slow and unreliable.

This must be about the kickback on the drone sales.
I live in a rural area where farming is the main source of income. Drones are not that expensive. If drones offered real value they would be here already.

Hopefully sooner rather then later. Sunak has been average and this latest lily livered decision is the final straw.
Suella for PM.
Suella achieved nothing as Home Secretary.
She is all hat and no cattle.

A study of more than 400,000 UK road accidents found that when “risky or aggressive manoeuvres” played a part in collisions, there was a significant statistical difference in driver culpability across different brands.
Dodgy driving – covering such reported infringements as speeding, jumping a red light, overtaking on double white lines or ignoring the humble pedestrian crossing – was more likely to be a factor when a Subaru, Porsche and BMW was involved than a Skoda or Hyundai.

To be honest I think anyone who has a long block list should start wondering whether the problem is with them.

That is the sort of post that gets some Mods knickers in a knot - especially when the recipient lodges a complaint and they are a person that has opposite political views to the Mod. If you know what I mean.
Why would I want to block you?

On the subject of blocking people in sixteen years on this forum I have only ever blocked three people.

As much and a little as 'they' (plural usage) annoying vs entertaining, just like the TV/radio, ignore/change the channel.
I'll post occasionally starting of with 'to the title' ... which usually means just that, as poster is probably on my ignore list. Or I peeked, rolled my eyes to the OP, but title might warrant a reply.
What is annoying, is the repetitive ignorance/trolling of good info threads; solar & EV threads being prime example. Repetitive stupid comments = trolling, going way being ignorance, and they really should be told to stop it or put on vacation.
Though most are ignored of late, and they seem to get bored if nobody replies to them. So slowly self correcting.
The forum is a quick read now, with ignore list, and knowing the OP posting, and I seem to be able to go through 8 hrs of posting in 5 minutes, by simply opening the ones that interest me in another tab, and come back to them to reply after ignoring the other 8 hrs of postings 🤣
The problem Khun LA is that on some topics, such as EVs, your truth is another man's lies and vice versa. Each side takes an entrenched position and is unwilling to recognise that there is some truth in each position.
Basically forum members here are reluctant to enter a reasonable discussion and are reluctant to understand or recognise that there are valid view points other than their own.
This is by no means confined to the subject of EVs.

Think all
Well I now know that all of my cars have a connector and I shall proceed to get the OBD Bluetooth connector.
,FYI the socket on the two Hondas I kind of inside the fuse box cover into the left a little. I'm told the connector on the Toyota sienta is on the right of the steering wheel and under the under the what you call it the storage shelf .
So I'm looking forward to making the huge investment of about 47 baht and being able to play with it.
I mentioned the borescope which enables you to go in through the spark plug holes and check the condition with the Piston the cylinders and the valves.
Just of interest the boss of a garage that we once had some work done told my missus some months ago when she complained about the petrol consumption on the CRV that he could do a job on it for 3000 baht to reduce the gas mileage considerably. It wasn't a gas tank in the boot which I wouldn't have, I bet I could only make out something to do with the injector system.
None of us Believe in perpetual motion and I'm very dubious but if the CRV seems seems on inspection of the plugs etc to be running the right mixture how the hell can you improve the gas mileage?
The OBD2 connector will be under the dash and within a prescribed distance from the steering column (from memory something like 30cm). This was originally a US regulation but it has been pretty universally adopted.

I read in the news this morning that among those supporting the Met Commissioner's decision and the right to freedom of speech and peaceful protest are Nicholas Soames, former Conservative cabinet minister and grandson of Winston Churchill and also the charity arranging the ceremony at the cenotaph.
Quite right too.

Hi, I have tried the easy connect which apparently is part of the MG ZS software built in, however I have found that it does work to a certain point, loads the mirror screen, then when you try to open other apps it comes up with a message on the screen, saying, due to laws and regulations this connection cannot be performed, we apologize for this error.?? Got me, the system tells you how to load the app, but then denies it??
Did you encounter this problem?
Cheers
Clearly you do not have enough Social Credit with the Chinese Communist Party to be allowed that level of functionality.
