Well I have to bow to your wine knowledge, and I know now they can't fool you with fruit wine.
Have a nice day

There are also a few newbies/Thai apologists, make your choice, on here who's still wear those rose tinted glasses.
They are very limited in number though, and you usually can discover those from far, because they have usernames like Thailover or so

Be careful what you wish for,if the goons are reading these posts gin and vodka could be the next for a 70 per cent hike.
There has been no price hike on certain products, the price hike was in taxes on alcohol content, and at the same time a tax loophole that fruit wine producers used was closed.
Vodka and Gin are already taxed their fair share, but you may expect them to go up in price as well in the near future.
Spirits have much longer shelf life than wine, so stocks will probably be bigger, but i expect new stock to be more expensive.
Bells whicky has already increased from 345 to 395, and i have seen a few others that had price increases recently.

Number 3 is probably the best urban myth I have heard so far, a guy got arrested for sitting in a bar as a customer !!!!! Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds ?
Even not worth the time replying.
Do your own homework, that particular story is widely covered in the local press and Thaivisa

If there isnt more to that story I will eat my hat. I am yet to come across one of these stories, that is told first hand and turns out to be genuine.
Well I know 3 stories first hand, one of them even has its own thread as it was in the newspapers.
1. Man sits in bar. Not his own bar. Beer delivery guy comes delivering, and he helps them unloading the beer boxes. Arrested
2. Man sits in his own bar in soi 7, of course not in his name, and sits at the corner of the bar and is checking the bills from the day before. Arrested and deported
3. Man sits in his bar on Soi Bhuakhow, doesn't do any work any time, but every day sits in the same location near the street, which is a long table where 15 - 20 people can sit. Arrested and passport seized. He wasn't deported but it has taken months to get his passport back, so I guess some arrangements were made.

This Thai post, a completely different animal from express couriers, and from past experience they don't investigate anything.
In the mean time i know already what happened, which is that Shenzhen customs is checking the package, which may take 2 weeks.
In the past I was warned by other Chinese online sellers, that sending back a faulty item was always at risk of never arriving for that very reason.
The company where I bought from, and is the genuine manufacturer of this item, insisted that I sent it back because they most likely know what will happen.
They now claim that if the item not get released by customs for whatever reason, they unfortunately also can't send me a replacement.

Wonder when the anti thai stuff would start.
All companies all over the world sell info you provide, to other organisations.
Sorry to disavow you . Scammers/spammers are all over tje world not just thailand.
If you think it is worse here then you do have options I suppose
I wondered when a Thai apologist with a chip on his shoulder would come around who would claim that a post, that had NOTHING to do with Thais in general, was Thai bashing.
As you say yourself, it happens worldwide, but it is your own choice to engage in it or not.
I myself for that very reason don't have a a Big C, or any other shop loyalty card, however I shop at Big C daily because i don't want my info to be sold.
And guess what, I also don't get called by boiler room scum, or get spam sms from other companies, and never have to start a thread here about how i get rid of those sms messages that deduct my phone credit.

All they need is your phone number, not a card.
A phone number they can spam and sell to other spammers

On 7 August I sent a faulty electronic item back the manufacturer in Chine by registered mail.
The item was accepted by China post on 13 August, and forwarded to the recipient in Shenzhen on 14 August.
That is where the tracking stops and the item was never delivered.
Note it was sent by registered mail, not EMS, and i didn't take any additional insurance.
What are my options?

Was just in Makro.
Looks like the 3L boxes of Mont Claire have dropped 100 baht...1030 now.
Yes I posted that last week also, since I have noticed that price drop is everywhere.
I think the other imported fruit wines have also dropped in price, so clearly someone is aware of the hole in their foot.

That is unless he encounters a passport check tomorrow.

Depends what you call awesome.
I remember these 2 recent threads from you, and however the damage seem to have been restricted, it could have been turned out much worse.
I have been riding big bikes for more than 30 years, and had 3 in Thailand, with the last one a 1900 CC cruiser.
It was sold a few years ago, because Thailand scares the hell out of me, and i could tell you quite a few stories about road rage etc.
Saying biking on Thailand roads is safe is just living in a dream world

I just wanted to make clear that your general statement is indeed over the top.
I revoke the "nonsense".
Your example shows a shipment from overseas.
Might be that no shipment from overseas is free (not checked). I have never ordered from overseas.
Ordered many things from overseas in the past, and always free shipping if over 99 Baht.
I started to see this last week on many items, where I never noticed this in the past

Nonsense to say it plain.
Many products ON Lazada have free shipping.
Depends on supplier, value and method of shipping.
Just an arbitrary example:
during next week I will order dog food, 20 kg bag, delivered free to the door.
(739 Baht compared to Makro 859, Lotus 890)
Ok Maybe all was over the top then, not nonsense. These items are also over 99 Baht
-
In case someone missed it, as of lately shipment on Lazada is NOT free anymore

Quit buying it and the price will come down!
I did notice this weekend that at Makro the price for the 3L Mont Clair had come down to what it was before the latest increase.
Down from 1119 to 1000 something.
Maybe they feel the heat already.
Another Australian fruit wine was at 999 for 3L, and i think that was over 1000 a few weeks ago.

The meat at Lotus is kept frozen until it goes out to the floor.
I’ve traded with them for years with only a few issues.
If you get their when they are stocking you can sealed bags of chicken breasts still frozen.Being frozen means nothing in Thailand.
I have seen on few occasions in different supermarkets pallets of frozen food standing in front of the freezer where they were to be supposed loaded, with all boxes soaked because everything inside was thawed already.
Yet later on they will be loaded in those freezers and frozen again.

Had the same problem at Makro this week. The entire meat dept. reaked. I told my wife not to but anything, but she bought chicken that did not smell right to me. Needless to say I refused to eat it...
The Makro meat department smells awful at every branch I have ever been. Wouldn't even get meat from there if I get it for free,
But last week the Makro on Nua road pattaya had a promotion of coconut water at 75 baht for 3 1 liter bottles, down from 215 Baht.
As I frequently buy this kind of item I purchased 6 packs.
Expiry date is 25 November 2018 .
All of them spoiled, with the water having a brown color.
I threw away the receipt so will not be worth going back.
They clearly knew what they were selling. Went in there on Friday and noticed that brand was not available any more.

Another price increase for wine, it's getting silly now.

I don't think you were wrong, they simple scrupulous removed it from the new 2 liter bottles.
These pictures were taken today at Big C
