We were at a mall in Kalasin and went to a movie last night (Sunday). The mall was quiet, MK restaurant had 1 other couple, the theater had maybe 3-4 couples. There were no other people in the theater entrance/lounge, unbelievably quiet for a long weekend.
1 person observed with a mask: the mall security guy. Alcohol hand sanitizer stations throughout the mall, Big C, and theater, provided by Big C.

Took my wife to Paris from BKK at Christmas on Emirates BC. Prices were reasonable, lounges were great (BKK, Dubai, CDG). Onboard service and sleep was perfect, Emirates Mercedes limousine service to and fro, included. Booked a 4 day stopover in Dubai, on the way back (2 days of the hotel included as a promotion).
The will be some smoking deals because of the drop in global tourism....

That may not be very accurate.
My niece is an intern at a Bangkok hospital and she has been roped in to talk to the Chinese patients as she did her degree in China.
A couple of weeks ago a Chinese guy had come to the outpatients with the symptoms and was sent the relevant department for testing. My niece had to explain what would happen and he just refused to take the tests, said he couldn't afford it, and walked out.
You may also have to include the mortuary.
Yeah, very quiet about new numbers here. Almost scary quiet. I'm obviously not hoping for more cases, but the numbers everywhere else are climbing significantly. Amulets but be working overtime in Thailand....

So in a period where the number of visitors is declining, Thailand is going to charge the remaining people with more <deleted> fees ? Yep, it is clear the Thai authorities have no clue how to actually reverse the trend.
You cannot fix stupid.
No disrespect, but I'm trying to determine who the "stupid" are... The Thai ministry's decision makers, or me (us) for smiling, asking "may I have another sir" and sticking around expecting a peck on the cheek

Well now, that's a bit of an eye opener.... Any validity to this?

Give me a break. Who would toss back a burning alcohol flame shooter, and expect anything less? What other expectation could there be? A highly effective and delicious beer chaser might have prevented the pain and suffering...

WHO just asked for $675 million....apparently that's the price to call it a pandemic.

Must not be a company wide policy. I used a CDN visa cc and my BigC card last week. BigC card was swiped before the items were scanned, cc was swiped, pin entered, left with my stash.

Great, another advertisement enticing epicenter Coronavirus throngs. No doubt eating one eyed, noseless dog, is an ancient sought after remedy. Big RMB back in the motherland markets....

I just asked my wife, if she had any updates from the Ministry of health. 492 are under observation. 19 confirmed. In Thai language on the site.

The Soi Dog Foundation has the right idea, but have their proposed MO per feral species misaligned. The 2 legged version with pack mentality to attack/beat, rob or rape, should be darted/tranquilized and sterilized. The 4 legged version should be tranquilized/euthanized.

I'm not sure where any of the "Canada is racist" commenters are from, or where they visited in Canada.....but I call bull @@it. I've been coast to coast to coast, worked and lived in Vancouver to Halifax and in between. Racism is Canada is a non sequitur.
Canadians are standing up and voicing our anger/concern, to protect the "Canadian way", not the Canadian race. So yes, there is a passionate drive to retain "our way" during this time of mass immigration....

Emirates has my vote. I've been on economy, and business.... My experience has always been consistent in reliability and above average in service/support.

Last sentence, very interesting.
Our school "helped" the teachers (who only get paid 1-2k more than the cleaners) get credit cards.
Yeah, I could have elaborated. My comment was based on a situation I encountered with my wife. She was asked to co-sign/guarantee a colleagues car loan (through the ministry of health). She asked if I was ok with her signing the papers. I simply replied: "are you comfortable knowing the person will pay the loan?". It got her thinking about the situation...she delayed the signing. It caused a <deleted> storm within her network of colleagues...as all have co-signed for each other, and all have had to have mutliple co-signers, but people are limited to (if I recall) a maximum of co-signing for 3-4 loans. I was shocked...the entire hospital loan web, has everyone locked in.

Yip, same debt situation for healthcare (nurses etc). Easy large loans with a co-worker "guarantor" or multiple co-signers. It's an interesting web of promoted financial slavery.
