They are not all the same. Thai's ... These were Thai's from a Tourist Resort. Not a rural, self sufficient, fully functional and Independent Thai Town. (With few tourists) ... The people WOULD be different I am sure. ... Tourism, Easy Money ? does NOT attract the best sort of People in my Opinion ?. ... As in this case, the woman's stupid Husband, who has just made the worst mistake of his Life. (Like he will do just YEARS sharing a room and Toilet with hundreds of other poor unfortunate, and often just <Deleted> up men like he was. ? And well ... Also too big a Loan just to a staff member, I would say, ... And his wife should have been Paying her her wages for working in the Resort any way ! ? Thai Business style. (My wife pays all of the house hold bills. And does it naturally like it is HER Job. and naturally does not get Soap Soft Cheated, like this guy might have ? ... Like she cheats me ..a bit ! ? But NO other people are allowed to do it and this is HER pride ! ? ... I guess. ?) .... So possibly more to be found about their 9,000 B ? relationship ? If you Dig. ? I think ? ( ... 9,000 B for What ? ) ... And his wife had the resort, so she probably did not care, as it kept him out of her Hair. ? ... Though well this is not his fault of course either, he had it made ? Right ! ? A Resort, a wife managing it, and a Nice Mistress ??? (Possibly ? ) ... He just miss calculated on the Woman's Husbands Real nature I guess ???

Yes sounds right, and I guess that in our accident when the Grand son was just going too fast, flipped the power steering back and forwards while going over the usual Bumps on the concrete tarmac, spun but missed all of the other traffic and just hit the wall, they took the 2 women in the back seat to the Closest Local Hospital. I think that this would be Ambulance Quing stuff I guess ? The local Hospital probably having no emergency patients at the time. ... BUT her Injuries were so bad, like her leg broken in to 3 Pieces !!! She SHOULD ! Have been taken to the Provincial Hospital I think. And well that is how it has turned out now any way. ... As she had to have an operation there to fix it all up. !!! (Let’s Hope !!! ) I did not know it at the time, it just was a "Broken leg" then, ... and my People here do make all of their own decisions here, still, ... like also ! I WAS avoiding the Stupid Grand Son's accident also !!! ??? I must admit !!! ... A Folang, Survival in TIT !!! tactic Right ??? ... Avoid the issue, and let the Thais sort it out !!! ??? … But well when it did not heal it landed on my feet. So I picked up the ball, got a second opinion and Quote, the diagnosis being the same, and Blunt, “It needs an Operation” But the 220,000 quite scared us all off !!! And then met the Doctor that she had found, at the Provincial Hospital and well he WAS good I am sure. ... The decisions were wrong to start off with, and at our local hospital, … but she was going to school and she did NOT want to have to repeat the whole year either. ! ... I started a Thread about The Great Thai Health system myself after I had to have my Skin cancers cut off, here on AN, so maybe all this about Thai Hospitals could be there but well, I AM glad that some people are, giving ! And some getting some really helpful Info from here !!! So it seems, and Thanks to AN and the Fellows who DO know about the system.

Probably it would be better to be registered at the biggest one as they would be covering the biggest things that might go wrong with you. ? ... Though I think that I am registered at 2 The Big Provincial one was first, but I started using the closer less crowded one later ? Though well do not quote me on it ! ? I am a Folang I guess so I get no discount at either so well it just streamlines their Charging. ? ... And it is Logical the "Bangpaharn International" as the Humorous Nurses on Night shift in the Emergency room call it ! Humorously ! As they Pose for a few Selfies in the Emergency room ! Like a quiet Night right ? (It is right next to Asia Highway so it is NOT always Quiet ! ) But Is Small and with the Basic Graduates as Doctors as the Older good one get moved on petty fast I have noticed ... so Skin Cancer What it That ??? ... But they do just Great Old peoples Blood Pressure and sugar and Kidney blood tests ! ... Have a good Computer system so you can see your History as well, but for most, more important stuff you have to go to Ayutthaya General. ... But when it comes to Physio and other lower key stuff, the Ayutthaya Hospital is VERY happy to direct you back to Bangpaharn Hospital and for Dressing it gets done for Free at the Government health centre at our temple, like free for me to as they consider me a resident of there. Though do not tell anyone right ? And I donate 100b to them every second Visit if I can ! Like I had to push them to get a Donation Box you know ! As they did not have one when I first went there !... Yes Thailand May have it's problems in some places (And I will not mention their names) but it DOES Have the BEST !!! And Most Socialist Health System that I have ever seen anywhere !!! As the People are socially Cooperative and Coherent so they CAN easily do this !!! ... Well I think so. ?

Ok and Thanks. Good to Know. ... JFYI a ribald bit, I was on the Train going south, to have a holiday On the East Coast of Malaysia ! But I had Horible Hemoroits that got so bad, that I could not stand them any more ..... So I got off was it in Chumpon ? Some provincial town down there somewhere, and took a taxi to the Local Hospital, and they put me straight in to a sanitary room, and a doctor and Nurse Drained my Haemorrhoids ! The Diagnosis "Oh My God" as he saw them ! ... Gave me some VERY GOOD Pills like I was high on Opiates for a week ! ... $2.50 for the Doctor and 500 B worth of Medications ! ... and he instructed me to sit on 22 sanitary Napkins, and I took a taxi back to the station and got on the next Train going south, and we continued our Holiday ! (And I realized why I was enjoying it so much, was because of the Opiates a few days later when I met a Guy in the Kota Baru Hospital who had “A Road Side Collection” to use his own words !!! … Like a Pile of Junk that he had picked up by the side of the Road ! … Jeezzzz I just Love the Malaysians Way that they use English. ! But well TIT this was Thailand also back in about the 90's was it ?

Yes there are People from Northern Bangkok who do come up here to go to out Provincial hospital ! As I have met them in the waiting room. People from Langsit on Bangkok's Northern fringe. Possibly they have family connections here ? I do not know. I will ask them next time. So our Hospital must be good here I would say ! And we have the IT industry so a lit of people from other provinces living here now. And well if any people are going to go and live in Bangkok they usually just go and live in Langsit and the north also.

Does it cover Foreigners who are retirement Visa ? I would imagine no. ? But it might just be some sort of insurance so who knows what and who is eligible. When the Grand son crashed his car, ... he was driving and he had 2 young women in the back seat his sister and her friend. Now for some Insurance reason ? He was taken by ambulance to Rajtani Private Hospital emergency in Town about 13 k away. Very good but Very Expensive also. Like usually just does Insurance jobs right ? (Jfyi I did have stock in it also ) But the two Women were taken to the Government Hospital in the little town that it happend in and also our closest Hospital Emergency. A good Little Hospital but they did not do a very good job on my Grand Daughters Broken leg. They did do some follow up but I gurss that when they saw that it was not healing properly ? Later she was sent to the big Dietetic Public Hospital in Ayutahya out provincial town about 13 k away. And they were better. Though it still did not heal properly. And she had to finish School so we had to wait until now to get the operation to finish it. All coverd by the 3rd party Insurance I think. She still has follow up and Physiotherapy from our local hospital. Which is good. And well I went to our Local hospital for my Skin Cancer twice ...(I usually go there for my Old Aged tests. As it is not to crowded ) But they knew nothing about it ! And I knew this and did not hold it against hem it was just an easy try ! OTo a smaller Hospital. Tgey are a lit less crowded than the Provincial Hospital. So they said go to the Provincial hospital and they did know. And I am registered at both Hospitals so in the Government system I guess. And at the Private Hospital also but at 4 times as muck ! I might not even go there if I am even dyeing. The Provincial Hospital is crowded but it is good !!! A lot of people trying to register there every day !! I think !!! ??? Thanks Mare. ! ? ..

There is no other party, he missed the other Vehicles, and only hit the wall. Which does GREATLY simplify the Accident. As No other drivers Involved. And YES ! And I AM very grateful for that, reading you lines also ! ( But Really !!! are Traffic accidents not covered ? Like not covered by the 30d social Health Cover ??? I am pretty sure the Thais around her DO think that they are covered ??? I will have to ask them. ) ... There never has been any consideration that the NHS would pay for any of this, it all has been on the 3rd party Insurance, all along, and the 17,000 cash payment was a surprise as the Brother lost the forms, ... but it always was our Payment, ... BUT it now IS reclaimable from the 3rd party Company, so my Grand Daughter tells me, and she is Thai, and she is handling the Billing. ( And she is a Book Keeper also. ) I just posted this here to help other Foreigners when billing for operations in Government ? Or private Hospitals. Yes, I just filed this post, to let Foreigners know that they might get a bill something like 200% higher than the Thais get, because the Thais are covered by some other sort of Insurance. ? ... It seemed to me at the time. Though well ? !!! ??? Are Foreigners covered by the Thai 3rd party accident Insurance ??? ) ... But also, any bill from a government hospital, STILL will probably be about 4 times less than a Private Hospital. I think, and we researched it along with a second Opinion on her broken leg as well. I do not know what the good Government Hospital said to explain the split Billing. ? ... But well possibly it now is sounding like, from your words, it was a Cut off figure I think, ? ... For what the hospital can just auto charge the 3rd party company. But as I say it is my Granddaughter said that they ARE covering the Lot, … We just have to claim the 17,000 extra cash portion ? back. … And they said that they WILL pay it back, as soon as we can go to their office. ? (And then “We shall see”, as the Russians would say) And if I lose the 17,000 Yes, I WILL just consider it a donation to a very good Hospital ! AND System. And well. ... I really do not want to have to explain my self here again either. It's Done !!! And we now just have to hope to <Deleted> that her Leg heals properly this time !!! ( And I now have my own Skin Cancer to think about which was Fun at first !!! But is becoming a bit of a pain also. So I have no more time for this any more ) A Good Doctor and Hospital, and a good job by my very Efficient Granddaughter also. But well !!! Her Broken Leg !!!! ...Varrrr Some people get all the bad breaks don't they !!! ... YES ! We Better take REALLY GOOD care of her. !!!

I think the 30b scheme must have been applied in the Hospital, and she says that the Por Roar Boar ( Thanks for that that is what she said ) has promised the money, as the <Deleted> driver lost the forms !!! ... But she has rang them, and got the case number, and was told that in this case, we had to pay, but they will give it back when we go to their office. ... JFYI. .. AWSS as the Russians would say. We shall See. Any way it is now Done, and we only have to hope the her leg gets better this time. ( And if I loose 17,000, I will be happy of it goes to the Hospital. )

Insurance for Thai’s in Government Hospitals ? As it happened to us any way. And Thanks Yellowtail. Yes Thanks, Yellowtail the Grand Daughter being still young and a student got the 30b on her Operation I think. They all call it a 30 or Go card, "Beff Tong" or something like that. they get it automatically with their ID card she said. ... I guess that it is only for Government Hospitals like where she went. Her Mother works and pays Insurance through her work so can go to a private hospital if she is sick, so the granddaughter says. ... The Granddaughter also is covered by the Third Party Person insurance on the Car that she was riding in when he foolishly spun and hit the wall at speed. ... He luckily missed everyone else, so well that REALLY Un-Complicated the accident apparently ! And took the problem of Alcohol out also I think ? … … So well looks like 30b paid about 40,000 for her operation, and the compulsory third Party should pick up the 17,000 JFYI in this case ... And foreigners ? Would they should get the 17,000 third Party ? ? I do not know ? ... Well I guess that alcohol would have invalidated it for the poor fellow from the Go Fund me Blog ? But well, I do not know. ? Possibly if Noon was a Foreigner she would have been billed the Lot, … 57,000. Though as I said before, our Local Private hospital quoted 220,000 !!! … And she just said straight out NO, as she had the Third Party Insurance in the Government Hospital, and it looks like she had the 30b also. … A very handy Granddaughter that ! … And I AM going to look after her also. !!! … My Porocarcinome skin cancer is looking better, so possibly not too much of a story left there. … Though there still is a couple of very small lumps left close to the pretty simple Cut they did for it, when they thought that it was just basal Carcinoma, … So well one more Minor Operation I would say. … But hopefully that will be all … Like 10 Years ! ? ... More Likelihood of something else getting me before the Cancer does. … Right ?

Yes I think that my Grand Daughter must have got a large rebate from the 30b scheme or Social security for a badly Broken leg, RE operations as it had not Healed 3 Pieces and Fiber growing in between them and NOT Bone as it should have ... a 4 hour operation !!! ... all above board, ... 57,000 B according to the Hospital but only a 17,000 B bill ! which we should get back on the third Party Insurance so she, and they all say.
