Absolutely agree with your post, except, that for the determination of the ownership there is no need for a lawyer, OP, do it like the banks, ask for a certified copy of the chanote from the land office.
We did this and went along to the land office to check the chinote against their master plan which shows all the areas plots and post references / coordinates.
Check also the status of the Chinote, i.e. offered for purchase by the land office or ""bought"". There have been a lot of incidents where Chinotes were ""bought"" and rescinded by the head office wherein corruption was sighted.

25 years ago I was stopped on the mountain above Kata Noi in Phuket late at night by a guy waving his arms around in the middle of the road. I stopped and he asked me to drive up a dirt track into the jungle to help a friend who'd had an accident - I may have been stupid to stop in the first place, but not that stupid, I told him I would phone the police and ambulance for help to be sent and drove off counting my blessings.

The above is a prime example of what is classed as terrorism for a lot of people. Actually its not, that is associating a religion, or rather their beliefs, to encompass the spectrum of terrorism.
Not all terrorists want martyrdom. Nor would all terrorists object to working on a pig farm.
I think you'll find that the vast majority of current terrorism acts are carried out by Muslim extremists. I am however willing to stand corrected if you care to highlight any major exceptions.
It clearly is the extremist / terrorists view that these despicable acts are carried out in the name of Islam albeit, I appreciate, not the view of the general Muslim population. I believe the list of countries on Trumps proposed travel ban are all Islamic countries.
The IRA and the ETA are now defunct, and off the top of my head I cannot think of any other major contributor to the current terrorist situation.

We are North of Chiang Mai a 5 hour round trip we did have a major engine problem caused by a ruptured coolant hose (see my post today ) which resulted in an engine change
They sent the service manager and 2 mechanics to our home during the process and a rental car
This despite being an inconvenience hasn't changed my view of the car or company still happy
Jeeze if I lived in your neck of the woods I'd definitely buy a Ford if the service is that good. Lucky you!

I have the 3.2 Titanium and very happy I thought the same originally about the keyless start but research shows they are easier to steal
Re service had a minor problem re service but since then excellent It probably depends on where you go to but Ford do have an excellent customer service division in Bangkok who you can call speak good English as well
That's good to hear. I'm in Krabi area and they couldn't even be bothered to find the key to show me the car. I originally saw it in Chiang Rai. It was my preferred choice looking on the internet but had to pay the 1.8m for the nice interior which I thought was a bit overpriced. I loved the styling though, unlike a previous poster, I cannot abide the new Fortuner and Mitsubishi Sport with their childish transformer styling. I was lucky to find a near new Mitsubishi Sport, the last model of the old style, with only 6,400kms, from a Brit.

China, how that???
... the Maglev in Shanghai was built by Siemens and ThyssenKrupp, german companies.
And you think Thailand will be providing anything other than the land and labour!
-
I looked at buying one but thought it overpriced at 1.8m for the top of the range with beige interior, and it didn't even have keyless entry or start - cheapskates!
I also felt it was a rather cramped interior. Beware of service as I believe the agents are poor.

My wife hates Thai men as her Thai BF way back beat her up and took all of her hard earned money out of the bank and pissed it up against a wall while playing cards with his mates.
She has gone so far as to tell her son, that if he turns into his father she will disown him.In a recent discussion about family loyalties, my wife declared that her adopted Son (nephew), who spent 8 years in UK with us after his Grandmother died and we took him in, said that if ever she left me he would disown her....

Absolutely incorrect. I used to regularly travel on the Maglev train in Shanghai, that gets up to 460 kmh. Truly amazing piece of technology, though even that caught fire one day. In a country that can't run slow trains without incident, traveling on one going seriously quickly could be considered potentially unwise.
China managed it....

Yes, it's good value but ..... when you need a car in Korat you'll drive and I guess most people will not be doing business near the station.
You may need a car in Korat but certainly not in Bangkok. Anybody wishing to drive unnecessarily in Bangkok needs their head testing.

Why not transfer GBP to your Thai sterling account ,Very convenient
But you cannot draw it out in Stirling in Thailand. It would have to be transferred into Thai baht at the banks exchange rate minus charges.

Taking pounds in cash is a good option but of course you can lose it. Exchange some or all at the SuperRich Thailand counter at the Airport Link at Suvarnabhumi. Then you can take it directly to a branch of your Thai bank in order to deposit it. But of course walking around with all your money until you get to deposit it is a bit of a risk.
But that is the best value option for you., as currently you'll get 43.07 baht for £50 notes at their airport location. £20 notes; 42.92. But that is still better than what you would receive with Transferwise or a Bank Transfer.
Agree. Take £50 notes to get a better rate. Also Vasu Exchange on the corner of Sukhumvit / soi 7 are very good and often beat Super Rich. Big risk carrying cash though.

Unless things have changed when you get a job as a bank teller in Thailand you have to deposit a considerable amount of money with the bank you work for and leave it on deposit there. It is because you have access to such a large amount of cash and each teller is responsible for their till being correct. My friend's wife works in a bank in Chiang Rai and that is what they had to do. She also needed to have a university degree. However that was ten years ago so it may have changed now.
Correct. I once dated a bank worker who told me the family had to guarantor her for 1m baht to get the job. Also a long time ago, so things may have changed.
Unbelievable to think she could get away with it. Greed obviously trumps common sense in our beloved LOS.

As you said, pants, shirts and shoe styles depend on where you are going but I usually wear ankle socks. I do save my long gray tube socks for my jeans. And yes, some people have alergic reactions to long term contact with leather and rubber. There again, some people just love to wear socks regradless of the footwear. Nothing looks so low class to me as someone wearing expensive penny loafers without socks. It's really funny when people get so upset over personal preference like there is some kind of law and they are the only ones that are so important that they have been given the duty of determining and regulating that law. This does seem to apply to many subjects posted on TVF.

My 'Timberland' boat shoes are very comfortable without socks, although for hygiene reasons I wear the shoe liner socks or the leather gets a bit rancid.
Plimsole and trainer style shoes look fine with ankle socks, otherwise save yourself the embarrassment.

I don't think there is any ambiguity about what constitutes a terrorism act, and by association anyone conducting, planning or assisting in the act are deemed terrorists.
As has been noted, death is too good for them and serves their desire for martyrdom. Incarcerate them in a suitably inhospitable penal colony with tools to create their own shelter and seeds to grow their own food, etc. and leave them to suffer. Perhaps start them off with a pig farm! Apart from the ferry to ship them out there, no ongoing cost to the state, and if they are found to be innocent of the charges they can be released.

Has anybody bought a new Everest ?
in Thailand Motor Discussion
Posted
Ah, you must be a transformer fan also, the Fortuner looks like a childish transformer geek designed the front end along with the new Pajero. For all its faults the Everest looks far more classy at the front and rear end and everything inbetween, just too pricy, too cramped and a bit shy on the latest gizmos.
