  1. Remember Generation Rockn Roll? Elvis started out as an healthy good rebel, and ended up fat and addicted to booze, drugs and to young women! That's America's downfall and the west. Generation Coca Cola cultivating the dream of happiness and freedom without responsibility? Every Generation have its trademark but I'm not sure az bad as now!
  2. Everything start at some place at some point! The motivation back in the 50 and 60'ies, was economic growth and new wealth for everybody. When the need is there, and people Unite to pull in same direction for the country's best it is possible, but who and what can make that change and give motivation? Unfortunate, war seems the only way, and with an bigger enemy, and and a new crises with suffering might create motivation for a change, but when looking back at covid, that ony divided people even more. So I'm not to sure. The west will loose if this continues in same direction as now. And the orange man is not the solution either.
  3. What about making America Healthy again? Physically and mentally ?

It is more to how quick the chambers heat, bad quality metal change form, quality of metal can be unhealthy, quality moka pot can be used on induction and gas stoves, and easy to order spare parts such as sealings from a well known brand.
  5. When you attend Army, the first things you drill is to make your bed, cleaning, and dress yourself in time! What a waste? Or? History meaningless? Every subject have its role in forming our brain to connect new neurons and how we progress in life to be well educated individuals. No doubt our education system is better than Thailands. I would moved straight back to homeland. Not a chance in hell my kid(s) would grow up in Thailand. I'm normally positive and pretty laid back, but,,,,, I rest my case.

  11. Where you making this up? Smoking, started drinking to early, or just in bad mood? Some people are more creative, logic and have better memory as well gifted to be good preachers and speaker's. Not to forget charismatic, and used their gifts to learn something, and for then teach others, who again make progress of others work, and hopefully improve, and make a new direction. Bitterness hurt's for those who is striked out of the game and can not nor willing to contribute
  12. What is your real problem? Can you say it with words?
  13. Obviously you are the one who got it right, without providing anything else than dowgrading a respected scholar and a quite intelligent one to. Loud applaus for you
  14. When it comes to conspiracy, it is a bit more complicated than it is a complete order controlling everything. Of course something and someone trying, but again, it is a huge chessboard, with to many players to controll everything and everyone involved. To many make a move at same time, cheat, don't make the expected move, and change ge the rules as it goes. Completely fixed and organized chaos. Interesting how our free media, speech and behavior back stabbing us through media, heavy Influenced by the right to express yourself. We need a wake up call against what is really happening towards us, and controlled by surprisingly Tik Tok and other social media who is feeding us with absolutely crap make us more divided than ever. You have to agree, if we face another more severe pandemic, it is necessary for all of us to pull in same direction, to save life and also economic? I do not say covid was a great example of great leadership, but something could had been learned and made it easier to make better solution for the next one, but here we are, still in the trenches and shooting at each other with just Bull pie. I really believe human kind is to stupid to survive their own stupidity. Every great empire grow and create wealth because there are benefits for most in the other end, and that means it is not democratic forced, but greed and strong leadership behind it, who is willing to make sacrifices on behalf of other people. Now, everyone have their heads up where the sun never shine!
  15. Great minds comes with weakness to, and he for sure have his demons to. Check out what he have been through for his beliefs and opinions as well well documented statistically researches when it comes to human relations, politics, belief systems and social behaviors and the psychology involved. He also had physically health challenges as well mentally severe depression since he was 13 and also abuse of benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome. He is one of the big thinkers who dare to say what he believe is right, and also have some science backed with his views. How he see religion, is not that controversial either and more pragmatic in my opinion. Have to remember Peterson also a person who gets older, with everything that involves. I sure many here have noticed a change emmotionally the older you get. Some is more angry, some more easily emmotionally touched, and some both. What about you? Emmotionally strong as ever?
  16. Of course Thailand. Riding around Thailand on motorbikes since 2005 on my own, alot have changed during that time with great speed.
  17. You would be surprised how many Thai men also get stung by the poison of love. Last year, a woman past 40, with kids from two different men, previously local married several times, and registered at Ampur one time, got 750K. To her defense, she is a smart woman, who own several businesses, and seen as rich in the village. Meaning she brings wealth to the table, and also of course for her face and her family sake. Sin sod is also an insurance in some cases when there is something to loose. And for her to get married again, it is a risk if they get divorced. Of course if they are legally married, he also have rights to what she buy and make after they got married. Not to forget your responsibility if your better half do something stupid legally or financially. I believe many here really do not know what comes with a marriage in Thailand if something happens, and the responsibility they have. If you running a business with your wife, and she do not pay taxes, cheat on government and other legal matters, you are as deep in it as she is, even you had no clue, and even you have nothing to do with the business at all.

  20. Again, as you should know, this custom is what it is, and practiced one way or the other. There is not one understanding of it, but as said practiced widely open with many variations. I guess you find your view of it quite reasonable for your family sake? Little colored by your position ???? Even we know the facts, sin sod is for girls with no previous history and well rised by their family, still all kinds of women, no matter age, family (or bride) requests sin sod, and get it against all odds. Even when the mother and father have deceased, some claim sin sod on behalf of the family. Single moms as well, get sin sod, so go figure. And this is not only the case for western men marry Thai women, but as much for Thai men who fall in love with an woman with a great history of past
  21. As one is more than right than the other, it still the bride family who organize and pay for the party! And every wedding I have been to, and those I first hand know (not only Isaan) Have practiced the brides family, organize and pay for everything. Of those who did not have sin sod, the man paid for everything, still organized by the bride family or the wife.
  22. He is the one who talk pure clear logic these days, and some would say the evil of logic! Back in the time it was fully accepted and logic to stone people out of numerous reasons, and burn witches. How far have we really come in the sense of being matures intelligent human beings? There is multiple forces pulling in all directions, and going against it, cost, just ask Petersen about that! Well, back to my own delightful reality in Isaan. Life is great, and beautiful. Have a good day

Need a new Moka Pot and want good quality for good value! I have no idea of good brand for good price in Thailand, but I know where I come from this is high end for a real good one. https://s.lazada.co.th/s.kyrNC
  24. Sin sod is ment to be the pay for the party, food, drinks, dresses, music, dancers and other costs involved, and the envelope money from the guests is for the couple. And from there, there is a variety of customs giving the left overs back to the couple, keeping it for safety, donation to temple for good luck, and more. Others often make foreigner pay sin sod, party, and everything else that could come to mind, but that's a scam.
