  1. How everything turns out, will give a well deserved review on Google. Not often you have to complain on a 5 star restaurant, and in Thailand it happened 2 times only I believe during my more than 20 years here. Andreas in Hua Hin got one critical feedback once, and he did not take it well, and we have not been back since then.
  2. In a backyard restaurant, I never send the food back, but if in a 5 star resaurant, and I ordered medium rare steak, I will do if its to bloody.
  3. Because they do not have to anymore, and sick and tired of watching foreigners doing stupid deleted things, and make them even more ashamed of their own country.
  4. the mentality of "if I go down, everyone going down with me" is very real! It is their bad conscience tearing them apart, and they want everyone else to be like them. Their excuse for being who they are
  5. Obvously he is not popular among the Us entertainers, and the list of Who Don’t Want Donald Trump Using Their Music getting longer as we speak.
  6. In some European countries we pay tax and can afford insurance so we do not need private donations, at least until the last decades. But, things are changing slowly here too. Ideal in a healthy society, It should be the government's responsibility to take care of people, by inforcing the people to pay an healthy amount of tax of their income, and the government donates money on behalf of everyone. However, Taylor is know for looking after everyone in her stab, giving the big bonuses and make sure everyone is happy. Se is a true businesswoman, and I think she even gets more popular by doing so, and make more money as well.
  7. after all, Donald is her biggest fan who got crushed, even he tried so hard Poor Donald
  8. Where did you read this? Bangkok Books?
  9. Are you sure this kibbutz was in Israel, and not illegal occupied land?
  10. Poor man, the only entertainment he got,
  11. I have a life, and do my best, while you sound bitter
  12. Nope, I do not drink much, but when have friends over we share a bottle or two among us of quality wine, and a few glasses who complement the food. A good Cognac and coffe as well. The less I drink, the more I enjoy drinking. Some know what I mean, most do not
  13. You sounds like a great guy and sure have many good friends who you share interesting things with. I replied to save the frogs, not you.
  14. I drink maybe 8 - 12 bottles of wine in a year on average, and most of them in the summer in my orign country. This year so far raw assumption of my alchohol consumption. 15 beers, 5 bottles of wine, 6 glass of cognac. 2 white months included.
  15. At least my wife cook me what I want, and if she havent done it before, she finds the recipee online, and study youtube videos to make it perfect. I eat 50/50 thai western food while in Thailand. There is no way I could live on Thai food and exercise 12 hours a week maintaining muscles and still be happy with my meals.
  16. bored today?
  17. I know them, and okay, if that floats your boat, why not
  18. on the other hand, if I chose Pattaya/Jomtien or Hua Hin, I could buy a decent two bedroom appartment central with seaview, pool, fitness, and stop working and never look back. I could had a quite comfortable life, but thats not what I want, I need new views, experiences, and also work as long I can. I get bored wherever I am, and whatever I do, and Im jealouse of those who seems happy with status Q. If it is just their illusion, or true, I do not know, but I cant do it
  19. Poor you, not a slightest ignorant of the good life are you
  20. Cant blaim them, if thats what they can afford and thats what they are willing to live for. You see some of them at beach road with their beer bought in 7/11 talking to the beach birds.
  21. It is not even mentioned by foreigners as an destination. Koh Kut is another one I enjoy visiting, but it is quite busy by Thais in the weekends and holdidays.
  22. show me your selection then 😄
  23. I wouldnt say boring, but it is quite small, but have a great diversity of people from all over the world who have found their paradise there, but the nearby islands and mainland is not that interesting, and no hospital except from a local clinic. Since Im still working and travelling to and from work, it makes it not so perfect. From Koh Phangan I only need three days notice, and can be almost everywhere where they need me on short notice.
  24. It depends on season and my purpose of visit. And my favorite Island, I haven't shared on this forum yet, and never will. If I'm going to stay one year on one Island, I would choose Koh Phangan. Nearby just a short boat ride is Koh Tao and Koh Samui where there is an Airport. The Island is big enough to make some nice trips on motorbikes and also challenging dirt roads, good restaurants, quiet beaches, good affordable hotels and appartments. Nice beaches year around, just go from one end to another depending on season. Fresh seafood, OK diving, great gyms, 👍 Edit note: They also have an Irish bar who knows how to tap a Guinness 😁
