I have travelled and lived or stayed more than 3 months most places in Thailand, included Islands, 4 of the major tourist places in Thailand and outback in Isaan for 4 years. So I guess I have a valid experience to share. But some Pattaya experts do not aknownledge my experience at all 😁

Some do not even reckonizing it is just pure illusions who drives them to do things. Everyone visiting Thailand learn how the real Thailand is quite quick, but they somehow manage to put those negativs in the back, and creates their own illusions of the reality how they want it to be. Strong exchange valuta is a good reasons, and hassle free life you can pay for.

Illusions is part of a good quality life giving it reasons to achieve it! Whithout good reasons why bother putting energy in to doing something you really do not want?

I was in Thailand for the Islands, beaches, seasonal climates, and affordable prices while I was climbing, kayaking, diving, and meeting people back when the Nok was strong compared to Thai baht. It used to be a nice destination where I could take a time out from work and travel. I think most know the paradise it used to be long gone by now, but I found a girl at my supposedly last trip to Thailand. I tried to live here now for 8 years, but the last april heat together with the smoke and the possibility of being taxed for my living cost killed my spirit staying here completely, and I moved back. I was quite positive until one day, I just had enough, and at that point the walls just fell in from every side. The beaches is not what they used to be, to much tourists on those places that used to be very chill, welcoming and nice with great local food without sugar often served in banana leaves just as an example of how things have changed. Internet have found its way all over thailand, there is no escapes anymore. Well so many things I could say, but I was here for the nice climate, quiet beaches clean food, clean air, and friendly people, those times is gone. At least my own illusion of how it used to be, is gone.

It takes a special man to enjoy a bj in a bar, just saying The gf experience was great travelling with someone you made good contact with previously, and followed you through to you left the country. Second best a clean hand job after a good sensitive good massage.

I wouldnt botther with anything else than booking a taxi in advanced picking you up at Airport. Going by train saves you 1000 maybe, but you use 2 more hours than necessery or more, and still have to take taxi or tuk tuk to get to the hotel when first there. Same if you take the bus,

Why not bike with gear or dct? Dual clutch transmission? I like the ADV alot more than Forca or N-max, and with a 40l top box you have plenty of room for what you need for a shorter ride. I wouldnt worry to much about driving in BKK since as you said, you prefer using grab instead of driving yourself, and when first going out of town you can choose times when there is less traffic in and out. Personally I would had bought Hinda cb500x 2019 model with boxes ready for adventure. Price for a 2019 85 000 to 100 000 with 10k on odometer.

I didn't experience Puh Quoc as half the price, and prices an Puh Quoc is about 20- 30% than mainland. The hotel we stayed at was simular priced as hotels on koh Phangan same standard. I recommend a trip for everyone who have not been there or as an alternative to other visa run destinations. The cable car ride was exceptional, but beaches not so much.

Smaller diameter wheels, gives shorter travel for suspension, and harder to satisfy the op even by changing the suspension with an aftermarket to a softer one, he risk to bottom out the suspension. Compromises is hard on such small wheel bikes. What is OP weight? As said before, the Asian suspension is set for an average weight of 75kg,
