Only 4? You are a saint. I have 8. Just wondering how many it takes to be removed permanently.

Thats a good point about days won. Maybe the points re set every year, like driving license demerits.

would be interesting to know the answers to your query.

Says I have 11 penalty points, I imagine 12 and it's an early bath ????

  2. Many seem to be hoarders like my Mrs, can't throw anything away. Bags and boxes are her favorites but the stacks of junk include old cardboard/plastic coffee cups, jam jars, anything we got free even though useless and piles of old magazines. I chuck stuff out bit by bit, she's never noticed as yet. Family are much the same, rubbish everywhere.

I met a few guys in a popular expat bar in Udon Thai on a weekend, some time ago.  Most were from small towns outside of Udon Thani.  They had told me they come into Udon Thani for a night out every weekend, and to speak English to people.  ????

Imaging working all your life, only to end up seeing out your days in a place where the highlight of your week, in your twilight years, is to drive 50kms or more for the luxury of speaking English to others.  ????

Sounds great to be honest, the only person I can speak to in English is the Mrs, when she's talking that is ????

Ah huh...not deflection at all but a response to your words

The Scots were in the EU and now against their will no longer are, maybe the majority having seen what being shackled to Westminster now means would prefer to go their own way...let them vote.

They already had a vote, they voted NO

The biggest mistake I made at school was not leaving in the 4th grade - when I could have done at 14 in 1970. The only problem at that time was which Apprenticeship to enter. Instead I asked the so-called careers teacher who strongly advised me to stay on and take my CSEs. (What a woft).

You could not leave at 14 in 1970, it was 15. One of my old mates was told he had to leave at 16 as he only got one O level at his secondary modern. He persuaded them to let him go on to the new sixth form college and ended up retiring a couple of years ago as a Professor at Cambridge Uni.
