We use them as have about 700 VCD's that the mrs like to watch. Old Philips player lasted just over a year and two recently ordered from Lazada had to be returned. One where the remote was dead and the other that produced a picture that looked like everything had been filmed with an hand cam, very blurry. Any recommendations for a reliable and available brand here? shops don't have much choice these days.

email from Bumrungrad last week said cannot do yet as nothing approved here yet, they can put you on a list

What he means is that some/most agents use certain immigration offices. KK for example is common. The stamps will show issued at example KK.
If your living in Bangkok you would subsequently do a TM30 at some point to do your 90 day address reports. Alternatively have your agent (for fee) do your reports ongoing.
That's the problem as I see it, once you start with a visa agent you are stuck with them for 90 days, TM 30 and re entry visas as the extension is from a provincial immigration office you do not reside in. Surely using your actual office after getting an extension from elsewhere is going to cause questions?

Don't understand what you're saying.
Hopefully ThaiVisaCentre will respond as I will be renewing my retirement visa shortly and looking to use them for the renewal.
I emailed them and asked them if they could do mine in the province I live in, they said they use 2 upcountry provinces and not mine. I am talking about the sort of extensions where the money in the bank is over looked, not form filling and hand holding.

Don't have to send your PP upcountry? maybe accounts for it

what do you call hearding them into an abattoir, slitting their throats and slicing them up so you can eat them? that sounds cruel and inexcusable to me.

Meanwhile in the west illegal immigrants, terrorists in prison and even Thais get the vaccine for free, land of smiles was just a slogan.

Why are there so many right wingers on this forum but hardly ever meet in Thailand?
we do meet- behind the scenes, but i'm not sure pointing out SF is a worse slum than Pattaya is 'right wing'

Even Pattaya is a nicer place to live than SF these days, but then Pattaya is not run by democrats.

Not worth the hassle for a few hundred baht annually. I consider it part of my contribution toward whatever services I benefit from in Thailand. After all I don't pay any other btax outside of immigration nonsense fees.
Few thousand not hundreds, personally I cannot think of any services I benefit from that I don't pay for anyway and I don't want to give this government one satang if I can help it. I opened an account with Krungthai and apparently will get the refund paid into that account, even though stopped out of Krungsri one. It's a bit of a chore, but it does seem they are only stopping the tax on foreign accounts, so why not get it back.

Only as long as they were getting subsidized hotels, now that is fully booked out they will be staying at home. Mrs already cancelled for next week as no more minus 40%, still dead cheap, but they do love their freebies.

I feel uneasy living in a country where a pensioner gets 87 years in prison, reduced to 43 for posting material on face book. That's a death sentence in reality and more than you would get for child murder or terrorism, for words on a web site! You can ignore it like most Thais do along with all the other bad things here, but it slowly makes being here less and less beneficial. If not for the Mrs I would gladly be on the first plane home I could get.
