Upon further investigation, Suwann reported that he was about to fill his car with petrol when Samart’s motorbike, which was ridden against traffic at speed, suddenly appeared. He couldn’t brake in time, resulting in a collision that led to Samart and Pissamai’s fall.
If the car turned left to enter the petrol station, and the damage is left hand side, the bike was not driving against traffic.
If the car turned right to enter the petrol station, and the damage is left hand side, the bike was not riding against traffic.
If this news report is correct, the car driver is lying, and the reporter didn't check.

Reminds me of the Transport Ministry guy of a few years back. His house was robbed whilst his family were attending a wedding. The robbers couldn't fit all the cash into their loot bags and, when later caught with the dosh, seemingly many 100's of millions, indicated they left a similar amount, if not more, behind in the house.
Can't recall the outcome but I'm sure the Ministry guy had a plausible excuse that 'satisfied' the investigators.......
Yes, it seemed to be the dowry... no joke.

And how did they do that?? Virtual currency, materially presented at a foreign exchange kiosk? Seems to me this is factual incorrect.

''The National Economic and Social Development Council estimates that each person now needs approximately 3.1 million baht to spend around 30 retirement years in relative comfort.''
Really? That's just over 71,000 pounds-must cost more than that to live ''comfortably'' for 30 years.
You're absolutely right. That comes to 8611 Baht/month, and with the inflation we're seeing these days... they forgot to add another zero, I guess...

So does this mean the Thai cryptocurrency, "Bot Gub", is also not accepted? Or is that one ok? Anyone looking to sale their now worthless in Thailand cryptocurrency, only in Thailand? I'll pay pennies on the dollar. I can use them in other civilized countries?
What is Bot Gub? Maybe you mean Bitkub?

Thanks for that, I just registered successfully. Booking date soonest available was 13th Dec. so I guess I'll have to wait until 16th Dec. to get the QR though.

Thalay said his vehicle had been having problems.
Really. Continues to drive backwards, no braking, steers perfectly into a checkpoint. You would think he did it on purpose. 28 years and no, absolutely no reaction. Forbid this "man" to ever operate a motorized vehicle for the rest of his life.
Luckily the guy waiting kept his helmet on, it will probably saved him his life.

Danish man arrested for alleged drug dealing in Pattaya
Image: Siam Rath
A Danish man who police say is a drug dealer has been arrested in Pattaya.
The 51 year old man was arrested at a coffee shop inside Bangkok Pattaya Hospital in a sting operation carried out by Region 2 Police and officers from Thailand’s Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Police said the man had been dealing methamphetamine to foreigners and Thais in Pattaya for the last seven years. The man’s drug dealing had made him a considerable amount of money, enabling him to purchase a number of properties in the area.
The arrest came after the Dane was contacted by an informant who claimed he was organising a drug party and needed 10 grams of crystal meth.
The Dane allegedly offered the informant crystal meth at 1,000 baht per gram with a deposit of 5,000 baht. He also said he would give the informant some ‘sex party’ drugs - namely kamagra and liquid ketamine - free of charge.
Delivery of the drugs was arranged at the coffee shop at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.
As the drugs were handed over, officers arrested the Danish man, who was found to be in possession of 12.04 grams of crystal meth, 8 kamagra tablets, 89.83 grams of liquid ketamine, 4.5 methamphetamine tablets (yaba).
Police also seized a number of assets belonging to the man including condominium units, motorcycles and a car, the total value of which was 10,690,000 baht.
The man has been charged with multiple drug offences including selling and possession of a category one drug.

I test drove both honda crv diesel model, cx-8 and cx-5 petrol and diesel versions. Ended up buying the cx-5 diesel as it have more torque. Is more quiet and have a more refined automatic gear. The cx-8 felt a bit under powered and also a bit long for parking in cramped parking spaces. The cx-5 diesel got a lot more power than the crv diesel and cx-5 petrol. Road handling for the cx-5 is also superior to the crv.......had my cx-5 diesel for 1 year now and very happy. Bought a 1 year old car with a discount of about 500k for the top model and 5 years mazda warranty.....
Same for me, very happy with the CX-5 diesel. Next car will be the same one. Was thinking about the CX-8, but like you say, it is heavier and doesn't have that quirky response like the -5.
Physical Altercation Between Guards and Customers on Soi 6 in Pattaya Goes Viral

Well I have seen this brawl from different angles now, and yes, that would be clear murder. The 'guard' is standing there, looking, waiting, then takes a penalty kick to the guy's head when he's laying on the ground. Despicable thughs. Great advertising for foreigners and "security" personnel.
