Thanks for the quick response
I'll open it up and see how it is.
Get the vacuum out.
I've had a PC clog up from flood dust in the past, the fan was full of fluff.- 1

Had my Dell PC for a few years.
Now the fan has become very noisiy.
I can hear it whirring all the time, going up and down in intensity.Never had this before.
When the PC is sleeping it continues through the night, without stopping.
I tried adjusting this in the settings so the fan would turn off sometimes, but this didn't work.
Any ideas?
Thanks -
That did it
Thank you

Where in Nana?

Samsung, Galaxy A03.
Faulty, got from new, but after setting up as normal when starting, straight out of box, screen becomes locked.
Did a clean install from startup, reinstalled operating system, reinstalled OK, then went back to frozen screen with Vietnamese message.
Can anyone suggest any other way to fix this phone? The operating system is in English, and sets up normally, then always goes to Vietnamese message and screen locked.
Thanks
This is the message I find.Vietnamese messageCall Viettel TelecomRefresh account statusIMEI 35138********

Large sizes, XXL?

Used to be a shop in Nana that sold hiking and sports clothes from NorthFace, Columbia, REI and other top quality US name brands.
Bought some really nice clothes there, not copies, I guess they were seconds, or he had a connection.
Anyone know where this shop is now?
Thanks -
We were looking for a 7.1" large screen, and only cheap Chinese phones provide this.
However, considering what I know of China, and warnings here, I'll stick to name brands, where I can expect a small amount of security.
Thanks -
Interesting.
I've seen warnings about Xiaomi, OnePlus and other big Chinese name brand phones also, that the company takes information, which is a pity, as they're often very good quality and much cheaper than Western brands.
I guess in China, the idea of privacy does not exist.
However, I won't use the phone I ordered on AliExpress. Its a no brand phone, as I guess that's just risky.
Or I'll only use it to watch YouTube one.thanks

How dangerous is it to get a generic, no brand, Chinese mobile?
Could it have spyware in it?
I've never heard of this but it seems reasonable that this can be done, when not using a name brand.
They are very cheap online, and tempting.- 2

It may have been the starter not disengaging when the engine started.
It was taken out, and found to be stiff.
After being oiled it was returned and no problems so far.
So it may have just been this making all the noise, which made it sound like the transmission had gone.
Time will tell
Thanks- 1

Thanks so much for the info.
Took it to a mechanic, who took out the starter and said it was a bit stiff. Perhaps it was not disengaging sometimes, when in Park or Neutral.
They also mentioned that the ignition switch mechanism was a bit stiff, perhaps when starting the car, the key was not springing back to neutral position, thus forcing the starter to constantly engage - its a theory.
I'll see how things go and use your suggestion if the problem persists.
Thanks -
Thanks for the info.
One person says its the starter motor that's making noise in Neutral and Park, as its not disengaging sometimes, though the mechanics says this not the case.
Is there any way to test this?
Still haven't worked it out.

Is there any benefit in changing the oil at 110 miles?
I may take it to a garage and have it done, its not cheap, is it worth the cost?
Thanks -
I do like Scotty Kilner, and I've learned a lot, mostly - as you say - always buy Honda or Toyota.
Though the pre-Renault, British built Nissan K12 was one hell of a good car.
I didn't know the transmission had a filter, that's something to remember.

Interesting
What's your opinion of Skotty Kilner.

Great info, thanks
I'll check that out...

I think I'll wait!
But what about the fluid change?
I've been told not to change transmission oil on old transmissions, as it can break them. Scotty Kilmer on YouTube also says this. The fluid is old, and dark.
Should I change it?
-
Thanks for the info.
The fluid is quiet dark, not cherry red
However I've been warned not to change old auto gear box fluid as this can cause problems or lead to it breaking. The fluid is actually too high, when hot, on the dipstick, but its been like that for years. It goes above the hot limit on the stick, when in neutral, after the engine has been running.
I'll check for glitter.
Would changing the transmission oil be worthwhile, or lead to more problems?
Thanks -
go to a mechanic even if there's no noise and all is working perfectly?
Can they still diagnose the fault?

Success.
Opened it up and it was full of fluff.
Cleaned it out and its now quiet.
I live in quite a dusty, polluted area, and I guess I should vacuum and manually clean it out with Q Tips once a year.
Thanks for the help.
