Bump.
Will try to simplify question. Can you get a new visa overseas with an active re-entry permit and extension of stay in your passport?

Sorry the title is a mouthful.
1. Spouse 1. Work permit cancelled, extension of stay changed from work to based on retirement, with adequate funds in bank.
2. At same time, Dependent Spouse 2. is overseas, still holds valid re-entry stamp tied to Spouse 1. first work related extension (now converted to retirement).
3. Does the Spouse 2. re-entry permit have to first be cancelled overseas, and then Spouse 2. launches a new dependent Non-O visa application tied to the new retirement extension of stay for Spouse 1?
Got confused even writing that. Apologies for complicated case, but procedural advice welcome!

The office I used in Banglamung told me they no longer issue cards.
Would be interested to hear if this is correct and national.
Wouldn't that be a "catch 22" situation? KTB requires the card to issue the refund. Anyone else with recent experience from Bangkok?

If already have tax id number but no card. Needed to get tax refund from KTB Bank.
Basically need to know where, how long it takes and documents required.
All advice appreciated!

Does anyone know if this service is offered 24/7 as early flight and no time to get to immigration. Thank you!

What about claiming the pension contributions that have been made.
Have heard 2 things:
1. Can receive lump sum of pension amount after retirement, but then cannot get health insurance
2. Can receive lump sum immediately, then covered by free SS health insurance for 6 months, and after that have to pay small premium each month to continue the SS health coverage.
Anyone know which is correct?
Bump...appreciate if anyone can clarify this, as it affects alot of people.

If you were legally married, it's possible you would be entitled to healthcare from your wife if she works for the government. Not the only reason to register a marriage of course, but worth checking into if you're considering it.
would a foreign spouse of a retiree be entitled to coverage as well, assuming the monthly baht payment is continued?

they will complete a TM7 form to apply for the extension. Download, complete and print two sided this. Fillable TM7 form.pdf
I would say most banks will know what is needed. Since you will be applying for the extension at Chaeng Wattana you could get the letter and update you bank book (no need for statement) on the same day you apply. Most banks have branches on the ground floor of the building where immigration is located.
Thank you I appreciate all the helpful information. I know that banks at CW can help but as noted in OP have to cancel WP in morning at Chamchuri followed by trip to CW. As time is short on the day itself, wondering if a bank letter from day before is acceptable. The response after yours suggests a letter clarifying the balance for the last 3 months, rather than for the last 12 months. I assume that is okay (based on 800k method). Should I also download and print off my statements form bank for 12 months or is that not required?

Thanks for the info. A couple of final questions.
Does the spouse also fill out the Tm7 card (any link to a printanble pdf of this appreciated)
Re. the bank letter, this will be requested from a branch where staff may not speak English. Just requesting, "letter for immigration" may cause confusion. What exactly is the letter called, what does the letter have to say, what date does it have to have? Is a printed out statement from the bank website required? Is balance information required for last 12 months or only 3? Apologies for the confusion and thanks for any additional information.
can anyone help on these questions? Thank you.

They only do extensions related to working at the one stop center.
Ok thank you.
BTW, will any branch of the local bank provide a draft letter, or does it have to be your home branch?
Is there some name for this bank letter or a template to show them in case they do not speak English?
I heard someone say you need to make get an atm slip on the day you do this conversion as well to prove the funds are there and available on the day you apply?

You would have to cancel your work permit and extension of stay at the one stop center and then apply for one based upon retirement at Chaeng Wattana immigration.
If would have to be done on the same day unless the one stop center post dated the extension cancelation to a later date.
When applying for the extension of stay based upon retirement you will need a letter from the bank confirming you account and copies of your updated bank book showing the 800k baht has been in the bank for 3 months on the day you apply for the extension.
You would need a completed TM7 form, copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp, the cancellation stamp of your extension based upon working and TM6 departure card.
Your spouse will also need to apply for a new extension on the same day you apply for the new extension and show the cancelation stamp for her existing extension.
Thank you that is a very complete answer....was a bit surprised to hear it could not all be done at the "one stop" shop.

Could somebody kindly outline the procedures for finishing job and changing Work Permit and visa (on extension) to Retirement.
This is for expat with dependent foreign spouse based on 800k in bank method.
Original WP and extensions of stay from 1-stop Chamchuri, Bkk.
Someone said to cancel work permit at One Stop and then go same day to Chaeng Wattana to change reason for Extension to retirement. Heard elsewhere you have a few days after WP cancelled to make change. Could it all be done in one go at Chamchuri?
Clear explanation of procedures, locations, timing, and documents much appreciated.

Before due date.
Thank you for advice

Or is it only for the first one. Is any other documentation/photos needed?
Thank you.

just wondering as I see an item there not on the lazada thailand site.

Hopefully the title is self-explanatory. Switching from retirement to non-inn B and work permit. Does the retirement visa have to be cancelled forst in Thailand before flying to HK?
Company is saying they checked at HK Thai Consulate said it has to be cancelled in Thailand before going.

Thanks for that. Do you know the number of this form and is this the latest version?
Do they require all the usual paperwork, such as extra copies of photo pages, stamps, extra photos etc.
If extension was done at Chamchuri One Stop, could this transfer stamp process be done there, or is a trip to Chang Wattana required?
-
For non-immigrant O visa on 12 month extension already.
Just wondering if company secretary could do this at same time as next 90 day report, without presence of passport holder? Which forms are required for this transfer?
Thank you.

It has to be at least 800k baht for every day of the 3 months.
Thank you. One final question. After the cancellation of the WP at the One Stop, would the conversion to retirement at Chang Wattana have to be the same day or is there a grace period of 7 days to get this done?

It can be in more than one account. You will need letters from the bank for each account and bank books updated on the date you apply.
Thank you. Does the account balance have to exceed 800K for each of the 3 months, or do they look at an average. If it was zero in Months 1 and 2, but 2,400,000, in month 3, this would average out to 800k over 3 months, even though only 1 month had the funds?
-
Thank you. Very helpful. Could the 800k be held in 2 different bank accounts in my name(example, 500K in 1 account, and 300K in another) or only 1

Is this allowed?
For example, last 3 months of employment contract before cancelling WP/extension and then switching to retirement status.
Would there be any taxation or other visa issues, since no salary would be paid?
