  1. All the food is good in Frasers. Don't think I have ever had a bad meal there...
  2. The GBP/THB rate is always linked to the USD/THB rate. Whatever the USD/THB rate of exchange is multiply by GBP/USD rate and you get the GBP/THB rate. Basically Brits would need a strong Pound against the Dollar to get a better THB exchange rate.

  6. Just tried using the KBank App for the first time to transfer some money from my Thai account to my UK bank account. After you have inputted all the bank details etc. the final check box says "Money earned in Thailand", no other option. The money is not from earnings in Thailand, it's from various transfers from my UK bank this past year. I was worried if I checked the box, then the bank passes on this information, would I get a letter from the tax department at a later date? Would welcome input from people that have used the KBank App to transfer money overseas. I was going to use Dee Money, but it's getting bad reviews these days. Any other first hand accounts of cost effective options to send money back to the UK without getting ripped off with exchange rates and other hidden charges? Cheers...

  8. 5 Baht * 22 days p/month * 1,700 students = 187,000 Baht. If they split that 4 ways that's nearly 50K a month going into their back pockets. No doubt if you went to their homes there would be some nice cars parked in the driveways...
  9. No doubt the quote from RTAF will be "Just a Misunderstanding"... Thailand the HUB of Misunderstandings...
  10. Thanks Foxx.. submitted the application with Saxo, all straight forward enough. Just waiting on Saxo coming back and confirming everything is okay..
  11. Thanks, but I haven't been back to the UK for a number of years. I did have a look at HL but UK address was a prerequisite for opening an account with them.
  12. My UK bank is no longer letting me trade online as I'm based in Thailand and cannot confirm a UK postal address. I've tried a few sites, but it seems impossible without a verified UK address. Can open app account such as Toro but don't want that as I will be subject to exchange penalizing exchange rates when buying and selling as funding will be from GBP Debit card.. Thanks
