I hope you have evidence, and aren't just parroting others. Before she was 18 people wrote her off as "just a kid", but she persevered. I have yet to catch her lying, which is more than i can say for politicians

I looked it up and a class action costs Euro 50 to file. If successful the value of the claim is shared. I don't think the group is asking for money but demanding action. Keeping in mind there are many people who protest, sharing costs may not be onerous.

Greta is actually suing the Swedish government for not doing enough to protect the environment. The woman has more grit than anyone on ASEAN Now and is no one's mouthpiece. Her smile while being detained says "You fell into my trap and put this local protest in a global spotlight". I look forward to the day she becomes Swedish PM.

Fantacists want the world to change in the way they want and are not self aware of their own inadequacies. Perhaps the government might acknowledge there is a need for more recycling. If the result of operation Sword in China resulted in no imports of waste here there could have been an attempt to bring Thai recyclers into line. Whenever these stories come up I would like to know which plastics were found. Name and shame. There are many types of plastic (who would lump a Ferrari with a Suzuki? They just aren't the same). I can't understand how a small turtle could get a PET bottle in its mouth (they take hundreds of years to break down I read). Also when the author writes "plastic and other garbage" what was the other garbage? Be clear. Was it worse, the same or better than waste plastic? Some computer parts are poisonous for instance.
