Pheu Thai concedes House speakership, promises to stick with Move Forward
Wondering if Pheu Thai managed a consensus to allow Thaksin back?

OPINION: Thailand’s people have spoken. Will its military listen?
I beg to differ with one point that the Washington Post wrote. "(They) are once again choosing to put their own desire to cling to power over the will of the majority of Thais." I believe they will make way for an elected government but want that government to be right wing not liberal. Depends how you interpret "cling to power". I think they realize they are out. More likely they want a government that sticks to the accepted manner of government: big budget for the military, no touching the highest institution, a disciplined society obeying the whims of the elite and so on. If history is anything to go by, political parties will once again squabble and the military will once again take over. It takes a smarter party than Move Forward to manage Thailand. But one hopes for the best.

White House omits Hunter Biden from visitor logs
Is no one else surprised that so many AN members STILL believe Fox News? The Dominion case wasn't enough to prove Fox lies?

Biden denies being present for Hunter’s alleged texts to a Chinese business partner
Can you point me in the direction of a photocopy of a bank statement showing a million dollars deposited into Joe's account? Evidence like that would really prove your point.

Court of Appeal rules: Government plan to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda is unlawful.
Rwanda. A good place to keep people without a visa? I guess Thailand could look into it.

Old men drinking a beer at breakfast time in bars along beach road pattaya.
20 years ago entered Munich airport a 7am and there was a large person drinking beer with breakfast. Surprised then as it was the first time I had seen this. However, after years of Thai Visa then ASEAN now I understand why religious day alcohol bans cause such an uproar.

Thailand, UK strengthen ties towards strategic economic partnership
Sorry, but the economic experts are saying: "UK expected to be only major economy to shrink in 2023 - IMF". https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64452995 https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/imf-recession-germany-uk-gdp-2023-b2272655.html You may want to address those organizations not me.

Thailand, UK strengthen ties towards strategic economic partnership
Even the British parliament in June 2023 says EU is doing better that the UK. "Compared to the pre-pandemic level, UK GDP in Q1 2023 was 0.5% lower. This compares with Eurozone GDP being 2.2% higher than its pre-pandemic level, while US GDP was 5.4% higher." http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/SN02784/assets/02fe7c88-f93f-4836-a33a-724c022ac762.png https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn02784/#:~:text=Compared to the pre-pandemic,UK GDP growth was 4.1%.

Not sure finding possessing cyanide points to guilt. Unless they can prove it is the same cyanide. Isn't all cyanide the same? Witnesses work better.

Thailand braces for liquor industry disruption under Move Forward
If memory serves, the original reasons for the high tax on wine is that it is a luxury product and Thai people don't drink it. Well, not being a French colony that would be understandable, compared to Laos.

From outside the US, people may want a plain vanilla president who doesn't create controversy every hour. Boring, steadfast Biden seems to meet that bill.

The purpose of tatoos
Hundreds of years ago, low-ranking soldiers did not wear trousers or shirts. The tattoos on the legs were to make them feel less undressed (read it somewhere many years ago). Women have tattoos it seems because they like them. I have explained to an educated friend that tattoos above the neck at interviews may not go down well. Ignored me because she likes it and wants to feel good.

Recording emerges of Donald Trump saying he is holding classified documents after leaving office
I do wish people would not throw around the word traitor so frequently when they really mean "someone I don't like." The Constitution* is very clear on what constitutes treason and involves aiding an enemy the U.S. is at war with. The U.S. is not at war with any country at present. However, there are many countries that the U.S. "dislikes". *Article III, Section 3, Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

Thaipocrisy: United States deny meddling in Thailand political affairs
South America is indeed a case in point where the USA got rid of elected governments to install "their" boy. Thailand was a potential domino in Southeast Asia so their "influence" is heavily felt here, and possibly why they have not flatly condemned military coups in the past. I guess they like Pita. “He may be a son of a b1tch but he’s our son of a b1tch.” Cordell Hull referring to Somoza

Move Forward Party Remains Confident in Securing Enough Senate Votes to Make Pita Prime Minister
I cannot think of a time when a politician has stated he is not confident. His boss Mr. T was confident before being ejected from parliament. Now he is confident that the military-dominated Senate will choose him. Prayut was confident everyone would vote for him. Thaksin is confident he will return in July.. Never known such rampant confidence.
