I have encouraged my Thai staff to use it to correct the grammar and spelling in their emails and documents before sending. It has worked well, and their written English has markedly improved. A lot better now than native speakers who confuse your and you're, lose and loose.

I clearly remember a high ranking policemen several years ago stating that videoing a policeman doing his job is perfectly legal as long as it didn't interfere with his work.. Something must have changed.

If a medical professional suggests wearing a mask, no problem if you are over 65 and don't want to. When the ambulance arrives tell them to go away as is your right.

As a former PM overthrown by a military coup and subject to a sentence to keep him away I would have thought he would arrive with some dignity, but hovering over the airport waiting for his friends to win and help him escape prison is asking too much.

The other prisoners are probably helping to clean his room. Using toothbrushes probably means they might not make the deadline.

If rental prices went up it is because Thai land owners put them up to gouge the Chinese. Chinese cannot legally own land here. Chinese have always been the kings of commerce here. They built the first paved road in Chinatown because Thais were interested in farming not shops. Jealousy of their business acumen led to a lot of racism. As we can now see.

Slightly off topic but worth passing on. One trick someone taught me many years ago if attacked in Thailand was don't bother shouting help. Shout "fire!" Thais react to the idea they might die and run out to see what's going on.

Many ordinary, yet beautiful, girls are against marrying or dating fat, old western men and their parents will scold them if they are seen together. Sad but true.

I would hesitate to put the (most certainly) leftist British Labour Party together with the more centrist U.S. Democratic party (in comparison). If AI is left leaning at all it is probably because human development has taken the liberal route over a long time. Female emancipation, end of slavery, social welfare programs are no longer considered leftist but rather the norm. Some may not see it that way though.

With so many made unemployed due to the pandemic I haven't seen a move into mass production and high end technology. 3/10.

TBH you can import anything but if people don't buy it then you won't make money. If Chinese products are selling this is just competition. Thailand just hasn't focused on manufacturing, so this is coming back to bite them as China is oriented forward making lots of cheap products

I guess all places that can't make revenue from anything except tourism must feel some regret when their land prices go up.
