Do you use ChatGPT on your computer ?
I have encouraged my Thai staff to use it to correct the grammar and spelling in their emails and documents before sending. It has worked well, and their written English has markedly improved. A lot better now than native speakers who confuse your and you're, lose and loose.

Sickly Thaksin Involved Hands-On In Allocation Of Cabinet Portfolios
<Sob!> Brave Thaksin, sacrificing his health to help form a government to serve the people while his sister carries on her business in London where Thai criminality has no meaning.

McKinsey foresees AI technology dominating Thailand’s future
A good strategy. Keep Thais low educated and dumb while using AI to do the smart work cheaper.

Phuket Man Faces Defamation Charge After Posting Clip of Police Stop on TikTok
I clearly remember a high ranking policemen several years ago stating that videoing a policeman doing his job is perfectly legal as long as it didn't interfere with his work.. Something must have changed.

Prinn Get 2 Years, 8 Months In Indecency Case
Knew him years ago and he was a creep back then. Just too cocksure his daddy would always get him out of trouble.

Man tells police his son was murdered, stuffed in a wardrobe. But was he?
Seems to go against common sense.

Police officer damages woman’s motorcycle, leaves note, pays for repair
A pity some snide commentators can't take this at face value. There are good policemen in Thailand.

Influenza infection cases triple in a year, topping 970,000 with one fatality reported
If a medical professional suggests wearing a mask, no problem if you are over 65 and don't want to. When the ambulance arrives tell them to go away as is your right.

Awaiting arrest, ex-Prime Minister Thaksin returns to Thailand amidst political unrest
As a former PM overthrown by a military coup and subject to a sentence to keep him away I would have thought he would arrive with some dignity, but hovering over the airport waiting for his friends to win and help him escape prison is asking too much.

Thaksin to get extra security and “adequate conveniences” while in prison
The other prisoners are probably helping to clean his room. Using toothbrushes probably means they might not make the deadline.

Chinese resurgence transforms Bangkok’s Huai Khwang into new Chinatown
If rental prices went up it is because Thai land owners put them up to gouge the Chinese. Chinese cannot legally own land here. Chinese have always been the kings of commerce here. They built the first paved road in Chinatown because Thais were interested in farming not shops. Jealousy of their business acumen led to a lot of racism. As we can now see.

Teenage motorcycle courier fatally shot intervening in gang dispute
Wow. Color me impressed.

Latest date for ex-PM Thaksin’s return is August 22
I read he was flying in from Singapore. Maybe I am wrong, but why is a developed state ignoring the fact Thaksin is a wanted criminal? Is it because everyone outside Thailand knows he was stitched up? Let's see what happens on arrival.

Human Skeletons Found on Phang Nga Beach
Better solve it fast. Looks like they were hacked up. Tourists are going to love it.

Thai man turns himself into police after raping 20 year old Burmese girl
Slightly off topic but worth passing on. One trick someone taught me many years ago if attacked in Thailand was don't bother shouting help. Shout "fire!" Thais react to the idea they might die and run out to see what's going on.

How hot are (real) Thai women though!
Many ordinary, yet beautiful, girls are against marrying or dating fat, old western men and their parents will scold them if they are seen together. Sad but true.

ChatGPT DOES have a left-wing bias: Scientists confirm the AI bot's responses favour the Democrats in the US and the Labour Party in the UK
I would hesitate to put the (most certainly) leftist British Labour Party together with the more centrist U.S. Democratic party (in comparison). If AI is left leaning at all it is probably because human development has taken the liberal route over a long time. Female emancipation, end of slavery, social welfare programs are no longer considered leftist but rather the norm. Some may not see it that way though.

Where Prayut Succeeded — And Fell Short — At Making Thailand More Competitive
With so many made unemployed due to the pandemic I haven't seen a move into mass production and high end technology. 3/10.

Voting for next PM to go ahead with growing turmoil likely to end with General Prawit as PM
I read that the courts wanted to make public the results of the watch investigation. That would keep the army guy out.

Sweet success: Thai fruit exports to China ripe with growth, thanks to fast track on China-Laos Railway
And in another article Thais complained about Chinese imports.

Off-duty nurse and police save woman’s life at Chiang Mai Railway Station
Another warm hearted story on ASEAN Now. Keep it up and we will all learn that not all Thai people are bad.

Thai Private Sector Seeks Help As Chinese Products Flood Market
TBH you can import anything but if people don't buy it then you won't make money. If Chinese products are selling this is just competition. Thailand just hasn't focused on manufacturing, so this is coming back to bite them as China is oriented forward making lots of cheap products

'You're kind of raised to hate tourists': Maui fires fan tensions on Hawaiian island
I guess all places that can't make revenue from anything except tourism must feel some regret when their land prices go up.

Traffic Police to Receive New Field-Ready Uniforms for Enhanced Safety and Performance
I honestly don't see much difference. Still tight and brown. Popular with the LGBT crowd.

Alcohol advertising: Tightened restrictions urged amidst youth risk concerns
Really, when people arrive at the legal age to drink, they don't look at the newspaper or Facebook to decide on the beer they want.
