Biden administration announces additional $325 million in military aid to Ukraine
I think you understand the danger. Like the domino effect expected following the invasion of South Vietnam, it looks necessary to defend Poland's - and in fact Europe's - eastern flank through military aid to Ukraine or the doors will be opened for further encroachment. And for America and Europe to hold back Russia while a potential front opens at Taiwan would cost more in the long term.

Thailand Targets Carbon Neutrality and Renewable Energy Milestones by 2040
Funny you should say that. Of course you are right. We do need some carbon dioxide to survive. But what percent of the air should carbon dioxide be? And what happens if the amount becomes larger than that? Apparently, carbon dioxide is (and should be) just a tiny teeny 0.04% of air. I guess if it exceeds that, we could be in trouble as air would not sustain life. Same for nitrogen, seems important but too much would be dangerous.

Thai Workers Are A Joke
My friends and I have all had issues with workers. It often stems from not being willing to search more and seek recommendations. I wouldn't praise HomePro just because they are there. For the same reason that in India I will ask directions from at least three people, in Thailand I would ask at least three friends to recommend workers and ask questions about quality first.

Neuralink, Elon Musk’s brain implant startup, set to begin human trials
It would be interesting to know, should implants become openly available, how much they would cost. In the US I can only guess it will be exorbitantly expensive and insurance companies might be put off paying for it if it doesn't lead to patients being able to pay their premiums.

Should sad emojis be banned?
Personally, I wonder why a more conventional sad emoji isn't used ☹️. It would make it clearer. As someone mentioned, a thumbs down emoji would show disapproval or dislike of a message ????. This would prevent some rude posters making me squirm at their bad spelling and grammar.

Visa-free Chinese tourism raises concerns over illegal Thailand tour operations
It isn't the visa or lack thereof that causes criminal activity. Even those currently arriving visa free find ways to work illegally, like those who teach English without work permits.

Thai PM to discuss visa-free travel, boost Indian tourism in Thailand
By all means let tourists enter visa free but take photos and fingerprints on entry so bad guys can get picked up right away (do link up criminal databases first!). Do away with double pricing. Cinema tickets are equal priced for Thais and foreigners. So should national parks be.

Biden mocks Trump’s ‘infrastructure week’: ‘He didn’t build a damn thing’
The US has had several really bad presidents so this is not a modern phenomena. In 1948 Warren G. Harding, Ulysses S. Grant, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan and Zachary Taylor were named the five worst presidents in American history. In a 1982 poll, the list was the same, save for Andrew Johnson taking Taylor's spot in the bottom five. Perhaps Trump will sink to the bottom 5, but a single term isn't like a two term President's chance to muck up the economy. George W. Bush and Richard Nixon were among the bottom 10 in 2014, but climbed out from the dregs of American leadership in 2019. Perhaps it is the ability to compare in hindsight that gives us a balanced opinion.
