  2. As far as I am aware THIS site is a Forum. I simply gave my experience and hoped it MAY assist others. I did not seek or request ANY advice from anyone - and it is NOT needed as I travel my own path. I prefer to keep my funds getting 100% plus returns.... Take a look at Ticker MSTY!!!
  3. I have been in Thailand for 15 out of the last 18 months on Visa Exempt plus Extensions ( including Family - Thai Wife ) plus Border bounces. I started to get questioned entering via BKK from immigration officers about "Do I have a Visa" etc.... Now when I hand over my passport ( last two Visa Exempt entries ) I also pass over the Pink Thai ID Card... That appears to have placated any further lines about Visas questions. That has now past smoothly for my last 2 x Visa Exempt entries since June 2024. I'm rather thinking that it is because of having a permanent address in Thailand that is sighted.... Hope this experience of mine ( only ) may assist others! 🙂
  4. Planning a 'Border Bounce' via Chong Mek next month. Looking for confirmation that same day border bounces are still OK via Chong Mek. It's been 10 months since I last used Chong Mek and much has changed since then... possibly at Chong Mek too?? T.I.A
  5. Personally I never carry my original passport around with me.... What I do carry is a Laminated Photo Copy of the Info Page and a Photograph on my phone of my Entry Visa ( whatever kind of Visa you have )
  6. Visited Thai Imm. Korat this morning to request blank forms to apply for 90 Non-Imm visa plus forms for 1 Year Marry Visa. They would not give blank forms out however replied when you return with all the requested information we will give you the forms at that time. So attached is the latest form given out by Korat Imm. on what is needed to obtain a 90 Day Non-Imm visa. Yes... It is all in Thai...... you will likely need you wife to interpret for you ( I sure did! )
  7. Sounds to me that Visa Exempt entry would suffice for you.... 1) 60 Day stamp on arrival into Thailand 2) 30 Day Extension ( Tourist ) 3) 60 Day Extension ( Based on Thai Wife ) Yields a total of 150 Days or just about 5 months.... Book your flights accordingly 🙂
  8. I've read here before that some can find that to be an issue... However I have to say that I have never had an issue at the Korat branch - always great professional service ( if not always with a smile )
  9. Yeah thanks.... I was struggling to find one good advantage why going the 'Laos Route' would be better. More costs ( hotels, Laos Visas travel etc ) vs going the Thai 'In house' route ) ! Thai - stay for a year in country vs Laos issued having to leave every 90 days
  10. What are the advantages of going to Laos to get a 1 Year Marry Visa - if there are any?? I'm nearing the point of having to decide which way to go!
  11. It may pay to have a read of the below and keep checking back again and again 🙂 >> https://aseannow.com/topic/1336345-lao-borders-some-at-least-now-requiring-overnight-stay/page/2/#comment-19178223
  12. Not sure if I can post The Thaiger website ( or not ) >> https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thai-myanmar-gates-reopen-after-sudden-closure They are reporting Mae Sai border is open once again - for Westerners not sure???
  13. Would be great to hear of any recent experiences at Chong Mek for Laos same day Border Bounce??
  14. Since the new Visa Exempt rules came into play mid July 24, has anyone completed a Laos border bounce ( especially at Chong Mek )? If so, did you do the usual Out, turn around and back in to Thailand on the same day? If so, was anything said about having to stay at least one night in Laos or any additional 'Fee' requested? T.I.A
  15. Possibly the Thai Tax office may be looking for their share if you are a Digital Nomad???
  16. What about the 500K Thai Baht required... - Is this required to be shown only at time of applying? - Must 500K Baht stay in a Thai Bank account everyday for the full 5 years? Maybe the DTV is an easier way to go than the Marry Visa? No Re-Entry Stamp required I guess!
  17. Just found the following on X https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/status/1812785008261890492/photo/1
  18. Thanks for the reply. I was wanting to ascertain if you would get a new 90 days!
  19. So if I was an a Non O - 90 day..... Is the following possible - Obtain 90 Day Non O at local Thai immigration ( in Thailand ) - Obtain single use Re-entry Permit. - Leave Thailand via Laos Border - Re-enter Thailand same day - How many days would Thai Immigration Stamp me back in for?? ( until original expiry date of the Non O ?? )
  20. What I have read here is people take a Screen Shot and print it out.....
  21. Just completed the 60 Day Extension based on Thai Wife this week in Korat. - Wife must accompany you when you apply - Copy of all Passport pages with Thai stamps in plus Photo ID page - All \ Any Marry papers ( originals and a copy of course! ) and a newly printed out KOR Ror 22 from the Amphur ( must be dated & signed in 2024 ) - Photocopy of wife's Thai ID Card and Blue House Book - Any thing that is 'Joint' must be signed by both of you down the bottom of the page - Copy of your recent TM30 slip - Of course the 3 x Application forms completed..... 🙂 Hope this helps.... Should go smoothly if you get all your paperwork sorted in advance.
  22. Has any one sighted this in the Gazette as of yet??
  23. Has anyone entered on Visa Waiver yet and got the new 60 Day stamp?? I look forward ot some reports flowing ( flooding ) in today!!
