Things can't be that bad in Thailand. Reportedly, the unemployment rate is only 1.96 percent. (Most countries only dream of such a low rate.) Plus there seems to be plenty of cash for submarines and other things.
That's because the vast majority don't pay income tax so therefore aren't in the figures.

The fact that no one put any thought into preparing these prisoners for release, once they had decided to decriminalise kratom, says volumes about the ineptitude of the Justice Department.
Absolute debacle.
Not to mention the total incompetence of the entire government.

The moron should be, he's been faking it since 2014.

Borrowing from one of the world's poorest countries, now that is the scum at the bottom of the barrel.
No shame, no honour.

In my experience of CCTV in Thailand most of them are for decoration and either don't work or aren't connected to anywhere.

I use 003 with 12call and find it very good, cost is about 3 or 4 baht a minute.

Teaching yoga, to whom?
Has there been a mass influx of yoga seeking tourists?
Cancel their visas deport the cretins and ban them for life.

The RTP wouldn't know an international standard if it hit them in the goolies but what a shocker he said so as if he would admit that they just do what they want without any accountability.

Always liked KFC and with one opening in the local town's BigC a couple of years ago I treat myself twice a month with a 99 baht chicken and jumbo fries.

There are no space activities in Thailand as the space between the ears of those in government is empty.

As soon as I see a headline with the initials TAT in it I automatically pass on to the next subject because of the utter tosh they spout about tourist numbers and money.

I would look into:
Dumaguete (and nearby towns if you intend to have a vehicle)
Iloilo City
Mactan Island (close to Cebu City)
Tagaytay City (cooler, overlooking a volcano)
Bohol
I see Boracay as more of a tourist place than an expat living place.
I wouldn't go anywhere near a volcano, a mate of mine had one erupt twice a few Kms from his town, luckily he heeded the warnings and got out in time but the clean up is horrendous.

The GPO is clearly an organisation that is not fit for purpose.
First they kept buying Sinovac when it's efficacy was known to be weak, especially against the now prevalent Delays variant.
Now we see more buying of Chinese products that appear to be ineffective, no need to wonder why. $$$$$$

I have my units serviced annually and they do a full service, gas, coolant, filters everything.
It takes them 1 hour to do 1 unit so that should act as a guide for the future.

The IO in my experience wouldn't know his a*** from his elbow let alone how to advise the OP on his best way forward.
He only wanted to get him out of the office in the quickest possible time, sadly their is little or no customer service training in the IB.

But not doing their job in the southern provinces as reported in another article where people are being blown to smithereens by terrorists, shot dead etc, etc
Such an indictment of Thai priorities.

And for aiding human trafficking, illegal immigrants spreading covid causing further damage to Thai citizens and the economy, nothing.
Sums up the pandemic of corruption completely.

My Covid insurance covers me for the after effects of a vaccine jab.
Shop around.

Unfortunately the military in Thailand are of no use to the general public and exist only for themselves, rather like the police who are entirely reactive and not in any sense preventative or proactive.

Israel is imposing restrictions again as Covid is getting out of control there. It's beginning to make me wonder if the world will ever get back to anything remotely like what we used to think of as normal. Thailand should be making a Plan B, whereby the summer months in the northern hemisphere, where most tourists originate, will become the new High Season, and the winter months, when Covid and flu will likely be at their worst, will be the Low Season and mainly for people who are able to spend a few months on holiday, so that travel restrictions and possible quarantine for 7 to 10 days aren't too disruptive to their visit. Hopefully, it would never be needed, but they really should look at the alternatives and not keep all their eggs in the one proverbial basket.
TiT there is no plan B it doesn't exist in their DNA.

If the police actually got off their posteriors and did what policemen do in most countries around the world and patrolled the streets and tourist spots, perhaps people would feel safer.
But yet again those in charge ask the public and volunteers to do the work for them.
What a waste of the huge resource sitting around playing on their phones, 250000 might as well be 250.

More chance of winning the lottery here in Isaan than getting anything other than the Sinovac vaccine which as we know is <deleted> against the Delta variant ravaging the country.
