I like how these fools continually point out how many "foreigners" are involved.
We should use the term aliens instead.

You give Thais a mm they will take a metre.
Ridiculous to not have cancelled 4 pretty much irrelevant holidays.
We've had folks arrive in the village from BKK because they couldn't make it during the cancelled Songkran holidays.
I fear the beer ban will be back on in short order.

Fantastic effort from all who donated and the NWG for organising it for such a worthy cause.

The current ones are only about 25000 or so kms old.
Toyota 3.0 Hilux used mainly on roads but with the occasional job onto the farm when planting and harvesting seasons are upon us.

What a bunch of cretinous army Muppets.
People are congregating in every village around here and not even wearing masks regardless of alcohol being available.

The booze is irrelevant to gatherings.
I have just witnessed on my to and from the Big C, in 3 villages, around a dozen or so people sitting together on those low bamboo tables, and not one was wearing a mask either.

And she still couldn't save a little to overcome a 1 - 2 month lockdown?
Thais save 555, the mantra is live for today, tomorrow never comes.

I'm told that yesterday some kind hearted foreigners in Pattaya were handing out food packages to local residents until the the police came and shooo them away saying that No, you can't do that.. go figure...
In Pattaya you need a permit from city hall first because of the numbers turning up.

Different rates of discount apply depending on the amount of units in excess of what the household consumed in their February cycle.
For example, if a household uses more electricity than what they used in February but does not exceed 800 units, they will pay for the same amount they did in February.
For households that consume 800-3,000 units, they will pay for the same amount they did in February, plus 50 percent of the additional units in excess of their February usage.
Well, my last bill is higher but no compensation.. Wifey said something about three percent but not sure water or electric. Got both bills, both higher and nothing about discounts.
That said, it is just on the news. Nothing official on the pages at PEA/MEA only except for the 5/15 meters and not exceeding 90 units/months.
Got the 3% off on the bill paid for month ending 19th March, 2625 baht.
Will be interesting to see if we get the newly announced deduction for the next bill due on 19th May.
As I never get anywhere near 800 units according to reports I should revert back to my Feb bill which was 1200 which will go to the entertainment fund when the bars re open.

Stop the hungry peasants burning down Bangkok.
Even 2,000 years ago Rome worked out that the poor and out-of-work had to be fed, they were given free flour supplies each month to make bread and fill their bellies, the rulers knew that a hungry person was a dissatisfied person, and a dissatisfied person was a dangerous person.
Some free rice would go a long way.
History is a good lesson to be learnt, it often repeats when the same mistakes are made.
Unfortunately in today's greed and I look after myself first world, nobody in positions of government have taken any interest in history.
Thailands history curriculum is a joke.

Right now the only difference between Thailand and the UK is that in the UK one does indeed "hear on the news".
You forgot the 6 hour time difference.

Pattaya will not recover any time soon. Open the bars, agogos, restaurants - open everything right now. But where will you get the customers? International tourism will be dead for a long time and will be one of the last industries to make a recover.
Especially if upon arrival you have to be in quarantine for the duration.

Some idiot bar owner in Pattaya is already screaming that bars should double their prices to that of Bangkok when they reopen....so yes...will be a very long social diatance
Surely any bar that doubles its prices would remain bereft of customers.
