    That's what I did a few years ago. I contacted HMRC via their app and requested to be taken off the self assessment scheme as my only incomes were the state pension and 2 other pensions which are taxed at source. My request was granted.

    The pdf generated by the online system does not contain a reference to TM30, but at the top of the pdf receipt it says "สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง หลักฐานการแจ้งที่พัก", which according to google means "Immigration Office Evidence of accommodation notification". My receipt from the only in-person TM30 report that I did does not have any reference to TM30 either, so I wouldn't worry about it.
