  1. A bit off topic but related .... when I lived in Bangkok I saw that shops in Chinatown area would group together ... shoe shops, scissors etc shops, electric motor shops, music stores etc. They would be four or more in a row seemingly selling the same things. I don't think the average Thai worries about that and it all seems to work somehow.

  2. Personally, I think any one who assumes he can grab a girl no matter where he is should be taught some truths.

Even in the sleaziest bar, for someone to expect free "feel" is not on in my book.

if you have bought her a drink and its that kind of place then that's different but even then be careful to suss out what is the norm.

  3. I have few 7/11's close to where I live and it seems that some have frontages that are always blocked with motorbikes so I can't park while others have better parking. Some are on the side of the road that I am driving on when I go one way and the others are only on the right side for parking when I drive back. Having this choice suits me and since most of these shops seem to thrive it obviously suits other people too at different times.

  4. There is a valid point in the above post .... when police from one jurisdiction enter another jurisdiction they are supposed to report first to local stations and have orders from their own superiors to support their activities. While not a matter for the court, it is matter of police procedures and subsequent enquiries. There is no doubt that ID's should be shown when asked for them and it all sounds like they did not go through normal procedures to make the raids and thus why they hesitated to show those ID's.
