Not a good analogy - you're driving and get killed by another careless driver - then you should not be driving? Stretching a point I know, but there always risks associated with living.

Certainly try and minimise risks, whever you can, but you can never eliminate risk.

"Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of an unlived life.

You don't have to live forever, you just have to live!!"

"Not a good analogy".And pointing a loaded gun at your head and pulling the trigger is "always risks associated with living". What a load of rubbish.

But then you have wonderful hind sight, plenty of money no empathy for those who are running their lives on a shoestring, and without the latter maybe you lack some basic humanity for others and  you just plain smug and arrogant maybe you have been in Thailand too long and caught the me me me syndrome which in English  translates to f....k you Jack I'm alright

Im with you chappie. It is those who live their lives without any thought for the consequences to those left behind should they meet their death. If a person cant afford travel ins., they cant afford to travel.

In all honesty, I feel they could get everything and over time they do. Just a marriage visa in your passport would do it.

I heard a long time back of a person that has been off Medicare (too long out of the country) but got expensive drugs shipped over to the Philippines (the drugs got sent to the old address and then sent over to the Philippines). The Medicare Card was invalid but somehow, it all went through. It all got caught up with in the end and way back then, they faced a pretty big payback fine for the FULL cost of drugs.

You cannot scam the Australian Government forever. In the end, they will find out if and when they want to.

I mentioned on here that I wont qualify for any OAP as I have accumulated too much money during my working life, and my post got deleted, so, dont mention if you dont need the OAP. Dont ask me why I got deleted.

Perhaps it's now being blocked in Thailand, along with the Daily Mail ?

Obviously you dont know why the daily mail was blocked. Cant tell you the reason in LOS.

I don"t know who you associate with ,same class of people who you talk about i imagine ,but none of my friends have tattoos ,are pub drinkers , but i will agree some are bald . They have all been married for a very long time and like myself met their wives while working here(no< none owned bars) our  grown up "children" are all well educated and have good jobs, and in the case of my wife anyway lived and worked in Bangkok.so please do not class everyone by your standards.

by the way i met some very nice bar girls before i was married ,

We dont believe a word you say."mine different"  yeah sure.

It's the threads that have a "Tabloid" Content that draw the most responses. Stuff that is easily digested.
Of course, I don't know why anyone would put in his post #227 commentig on some Road Carnage, knowing that basically the same comment has alredy been posted by 87 previous posters. Not forgetting to add the mandatory RIP, never even having known the victim(s).

    Maybe the key-word is "Boredom".

Once the life-style of a tourist can financially no more be upheld, where else can you get so much low-cost (no cost) entertainment than on TVF? Can vent anger, disperse personal insults toward everybody not in agreement with you without having to fear any repercussions and best of all, after 24 hours, nobody cares what you posted.

Still, If TVF wasn't existig already, it would have to be invented pronto!

Another reason to spend much time on TVF might be: Even if a Farang has lived for 348 years in a Thai tourist-hub, every time he tries to frequent a new Bar, he will be asked "where you come from"?, "you have lady?" etc etc.

I was told, that few Farangs can engage in such highly intellectual conversations on a daily basis, without eventually suffering from neurological disorders, high blood pressure and irregular bowel-movements.

I insist, without TVF, far more Farangs would be suffering from above described ailments.
Like it or not, TVF increases your overall health and your life-expetancy. Where else could you let off steam an insult anyone anonymously?  And all of this free of charge! Try this with your Wife/GF.

Rats! Haven't checked out any incomig Tabloid Mayhem stories on TVF for the last 3 hours. That means that my valuable contribution will come in as # 183. Unnoticed by TVF members and the rest of the world.

Only way to re-juvenate a Tabloid post # 183 is by randomly select a previous poster, making it clear that you don't like his Avatar, his comment and you never liked his mother in the first place. That in itself wold create an additinal 200 valuable contributions.
AND ALL THIS EXITEMENT AT NO COST!
    Cheers.

Re "Can vent anger, disperse personal insults toward everybody".  Your confusing TV with some other forum. That would get you banned for life on here.
