Here's a typical scene at a redlight in Isaan.
6 motorbikes, 12 riders, two helmets, total.
One bike has no license plate.
The bike with young boys runs the redlight.
There is one baby squeezed between a couple on a bike.
5 star policing

I was a police offer for 28 years and I know that if the parented sued they would lose and the case should never go to court the BOY was wrong in many way first he was at least 4 years to young to even be on the motorbike second he should have stop and not ran from the police. third he did not have a helmet or any other protection. The parents should be charged for letting their son on the motorbike.
Dreaming the police are a joke. There incompetent and put a child at risk. He also has no right touching the body. if the cop can't read a licence plate. He should not be employed.

This is LOS. There was absolutely no reason for this particular pursuit to be called off.
You are part of the problem

Well done o the Policeman for doing his job. Should be more of it.
I drive down the Sukhumvit around the time school is out and see these students, 4 on a bike no helmets etc. the police let them pass without stopping.
This is encouraging bad behaviour.

The thing is the rider did not STOP.
I see it too often, riders avoiding the checkpoints, racing pasts puting the officers life in Danger
(what are your thoughts here).
These riders carry drugs, firearms etc, how can law enforcement stop criminal activity.
The people avoiding checkpoints just carry on breaking the law.
It seems the only people stopping for the checkpoints are the law abiding citizens.
licence plate is there for a reason. Pursuits are called off in my country

Yeah right. Justice for an idiot who refused to wear a helmet, and refused to acknowledge a rightful police requirement to stop. Just another competitor for the Darwin awards.
What happened to respect for authority? Can you explain this to me?
Respect police who stand at a school and watch kids ride out 3 up or mum with the 3 year old slumped over the bars lol

So just plain stupidity then...……..and they often pay the ultimate price unfortunately.
Stupidity is the police directing traffic at the school while kids ride out past them with no helmets and 3 up lol.
Stupidity is having a licence plate on a bike and having no need for one. Police are to dumb read it.

And what experience do you have of chasing kids on motorbikes please?
l was chased out of panick only at 12. Dirt bike police. We had a local race track on crown land. There was no need to run. But kids don't think sometimes

If it was MY son, I would beat the s..t out of HIM, not the cop, who was only trying to do his job. The kid was not FORCED to initiate a high-speed chase, he did it of his own free (stupid ) will.
Your all inexperienced never been on a bike as young boy. So l need not comment

No i am not wrong, if i said it was black, you would say it was white, never have you agreed with me on any thread.
I think you do it just to be outrageous, pathetic when you say it is ok for a young unlicensed, uninsured, helmetless boy to ride a motorbike, and the police are wrong.
I wonder why

Are the boys parents serious?
The only people to blame for this are themselves and their son.
The boy should not have been allowed to ride a motorbike, too young, no license, no insurance, no helmet.
The boy is dead and that is tragic, but his parents are seeing his death as a way to make money..... Sickening.
Your wrong. A young kid being forced to initiate a high speed chase is wrong.
That's what registration plates are for. lf was my son l beat the life out of that scum cop. Only in Thailand is there such vrain dead law enforcers

The delay isnt the Thai end its clearing customs.
That can vary dramatically depending on where it lands. If it goes into LA or Chicago different to New York and so on. Thats luck of the draw on which flight it gets put on.
Xmas increase in volumes will exacerbate the situation.
