  1. Why did you link these particular forms of ‘Hate’ to your question about free speech?
  2. I wonder if Musk’s professed love of free speech will run to allowing those on both sides of the political spectrum calling for the break up of Big Tech monopolies to promote their views on ‘his’ Twitter?
  3. https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-and-analysis/blogs/stateline/2022/01/13/librarians-decry-gop-moves-to-ban-books-in-schools https://www.newsweek.com/banned-florida-math-textbook-examples-revealed-1699960
  4. You’ve missed the bit about libraries being stripped of books by right wingers.
  5. Conservatives can fix this by replacing fermenting hate with policy initiatives that are not based on hate.
  6. It might be an idea to wait and see what Musk does with Twitter before pouring yourself a glass of liberal tears.
  7. The advancements in Military technology over these same 75 years you refer to obviate the need for large conscripted (hard men) armies. Drones are one example, man portable anti-tank weapons are another. Modern militaries frequently demonstrate their effectiveness, despite a dirth of ‘1930s depression’ recruits. The Ukrainian military being an example, they are demonstrably ‘up to it’. Russia is being reminded of precisely why this war can’t be fought with the tactics of the last war.
  8. So your example of banning free speech is banning ‘misinformation’ adverts. Have you heard, they ban ‘Hate Speech’ too?!
  9. Didn’t somebody with a strong following on the rightwing of the political spectrum recently set up a rightwing messaging service? How’s that going?
  10. So punish the impoverished economic migrants and ignore the guy employing them.
  11. Musk is already being told he’ll comply with the law(s). https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2022/apr/26/twitter-takeover-jack-dorsey-elon-musk
  12. Elon Musk’s bid to buy Twitter is set to succeed (Though I expect he’ll claim he invented it shortly afterwards): https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61222470
  13. A 32 years old guy in my cycling team caught COVID early on before vaccines were available, while he’s back cycling again he’s still not recovered to anywhere near his former fitness and has had to retire from racing. He rides at least 4 days a week and has for a number of years recorded his ride data on STRAVA. All his data, speed, power, heart rate and times over measured distances are shot through, he is a shadow of the athlete he was before COVID.
  14. So how he Russian losses in Putin’s war of aggression causes Russians to hate the West. Or of course it could cause then to start thinking about the mess Putin caused.
  15. I suspect the reason why the Ukrainians have not engaged in tank to tank battles with Russia is they’d rather use asymmetric tactics.
  16. I’m not sure why you think it’s necessary to ‘cross Russian borders’ in order to intervene on Ukraine’s behalf.
  17. Ukrainian takes the fight to the enemy and the enemy doesn’t like it. "On April 14, 2022, using two combat helicopters equipped with heavy offensive weapons, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine illegally entered the airspace of the Russian Federation," Russia's investigative committee said in a statement. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-says-ukraine-fired-mortars-bryansk-border-post-2022-04-14/
  18. Russia is facing asymmetric warfare and crippling economic sanctions, please explain how, contrary to every other such war, time is on Russia’s side?
  19. Macron has won a second term, Le Pen a third defeat. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/24/emmanuel-macron-wins-french-presidential-election-say-projected-results
  20. Automatic loading system and no firewall between the magazine and the crew. Each tank destroyed is three dead Russians.
  21. He’s very clearly picked up on the commentary across news and other media regarding sitting at the head of ridiculously long tables.
  22. To maintain control over areas in Ukraine that Russia hopes to capture and hold, Russia needs to remove or deplete the ethnic Ukrainian populations in those areas. This can be achieved by bussing people out, terrorizing Ukrainians to flee or murder. These are all means of ‘ethnic cleaning’. Then there’s the evidence of executed civilians and mass graves. Let’s not obfuscate on the matter of Russian war crimes.
