It's nice to hear you're recovering well, and it's so good to have some help..., I doubt any of my ex-gf would even call me in such circumstances...!

As for Big C I have never used those parking machines, I always buy something and then take the receipt to the girl sitting next to the machine and get free parking, I should think most people qualify for that...!

I noticed mention of a lot of bars and restaurants bought and sold at fairytale prices or even operated with no clients here, this is all to do with money laundering, I've seen it in some other Banana Republic countries, even at 25% loss cleaning of illegal money is big business, cash is used for buying or as daily revenue in legal businesses and then cleaned into legal bank account, very common practice..., don't be surprised...!

Re the cleaning cash.Whole lot easier to become Chinese and visit Sydney Crown casino with suitcases stuffed with cash, no questions asked!

    Wow.

That this the one of the most ugly-adze hats I have, so far, seen on this forum.

"NO, I would not be caught dead in a hat like that", says this Cat in My Hat!

Here are the hats I buy.

The site says 100 percent cotton.

But, actually they are 100 percent polyester.

So, I bought 18 of them.

I always buy a few extras when I find something I really like on Lazada.

I gave a couple to friends, too.

    very cheap price.

I LOVE THESE because they do the job, and are super cool, and Cool!

    image.png.f1e7d9439a51901ff5872e563e3153fb.png

I will not need to buy more hats till the day I die.

    18 hats.

    2 for friends

    16 left.

    One hat per year, maybe.

So, maybe I will need more hats in this life, actually.

I never get hot with a hat like this one.

It's good up to about 55 degrees C....

(No flies on me: I am a genius shopper when it comes to selecting hats.)

These are banned in Australia, "knob hats" is the official name, pretty well sums up the wearer too!!

In fact, I was not joking.

These days, I wear a hat, one of those hats with a strip of netting near the top, but not on the top, to release the heat from my head.

I do not walk when the temp gets above 37.

However, 37, or below, and I usually feel quite comfortable walking at any time of day.

I hydrate during the hours before I go out for walks. And I carry 1.5 liters of water in case I get thirsty.

37 degrees in the sun in Thailand is still quite comfortable for me, when the humidity is low.  At the moment, this morning at 11:30AM, the humidity is about 20 percent.  Extremely comfortable, and a nice time for a walk.

Almost credible! In Oz they wear hats with netting  too, but thats to keep the flies off ya! Hence the saying.. "no flies on" me!!

Wait a minute, PLEASE, and do not say such things about us elderly.

I am slightly under this Swiss guy's age.

But, I have no problems walking 10 kilometers in the Noon-day Sun.

At noon, the humidity is lower, due to the higher temps, and THIS is the way I like it.

What I do is to enjoy more soy sauce on my food, and then drink water, before venturing forth to enjoy my long hot walks.

Start slow, and after a few years, you will be just like me.

Some, like me, like it Hot.

Mad dog and English too, Pity you, nah not a chance, just another bull$hitta.

    It's people chasing a dream...

Think about it like a cafe. You open a cafe in the middle of hundreds of other similar cafe's selling the same latte. How are you going to get customers when they walk by all these other cafe's closer to the main street? You're living on a hope and a prayer.

You sit there making the small place perfect with knick knacks and nice seating. Out of desperation you start sitting in front of your cafe calling to people walking by. You also become hyper customer service oriented. One person comes in and you hover over them like a mother hen, standing right near them while they try to look at the menu. Can't wait for that order. Rush in and rush it to them even with no other customers waiting.

You start to realize that how nice you make your cafe it does not bring in customers if you are not on the corner ahead of all the others closer to the main street where all the daily tourists are passing by, probably never to return.

You also realize that your desperation is actually driving customers away from the shop. They feel like they are obligated to buy something quickly the minute they come in, or even look in from the street.

There is probably a final stage where you start getting angry. You made this place perfect, did everything possible, yet people come in for just a cheap coffee or even try to negotiate the price. The bills keep coming in. You may sneer and act nice. Fake a smile, and other weird stuff that people see right through, that just puts off customers further.

It festers and you start feeling like selling. It's not your fault, it's other people or the location, or cheap foreigners. Decide to sell and make it look like it's doing great for the next person. Can't have them come in on a down note. After all, that spells doom.

Too  true, then there are ones like an Ozzie mate, bought a tiny bar on theDarkside for like 50k,lives above it, little gold mine.!

It’s like revolving a door as soon as a bar closes a new owner moves in rips it to bits and opens again.

Saying in Oz relates to most endevours.... "have a go you mug"!!.   Well at least these folk are doing just that..Good on em!

So you have bombed my post with motherly advice already before I have a chance to get any replies. Thanks.

Do you really think myself or anyone replying wouldn't have considered this?

I wouldn't have expected anyone to reply and discuss details on an open forum, nor would I do so myself

though I guess I could have stated this, rather than assume it was a given. Like a warning label not to drink

    battery acid

Why do so many here assume everyone else is a total moron ....or are we all just bored and want to be heard?

Ehhh, ok ken, forget it, just maybe  prospective responders to your post thought the same as I, open forum hardly discreet ad.Too bad I ruined  your sneeky idea. so long!

They were knock offs at that price.

An original pack of four costs at least 2,000 baht.

They can work but you should check that your BP is normal before taking them, fake or otherwise, low blood pressure and any form of sexual enhancement drugs can give you a heart attack. ❤️  Be careful

False logic there, originals sold at RRP are Rip offs, bulk wsale price is what vendors charge.

I understand the OP.   A condo life wouldn't be for me ever.    Not sure i would be able to stand the current heat of Thailand.  41 was my warmest experience and i didn't like it.  I tgought 10 years in dallas and Texas wS to hot.  Raised in Denver. Many of you talk about doing noting midday.   When I'm in Thailand I think its to hot by 8 am.

I want to know how many of your have have lived in a dry 4 season climate with matural beauty like Colorado or Utah?.  I'll wager a big bet its none to 1.  Incredible weather here now. Cool mornings, fresh air, blue skies, never a thiught its gor and I worked outside most days.

When Im in Thailand or here air in must be below 26 or im not going to sleep. Many days recently its been 15c or  so in the bedroom in the morning.   Down comforter and warm wife feels so good.   I guess my onky choice qoukd be to try koh Samui on the beach breeze side but not sure that wouldn't get boring.

Right now I'm stressing because I want to fo ice off fishing, fky fishing fir the whities schooling, hunting morels.

Lived 15 yrs in Central Oznear the Simpson Desert, Birdsville Track, Lake Eyre,  Telegraph line and Ghan  Railway, 55 deg.C dry heat.SFA rain, frosts during winter nites, hot as those days too.Been  here 8yrs, Pattaya heat is killing me this year!
