What's the dumb idea? Trying to get a cheap ride to Bangkok, or using these services? Why else would I bother using these services other than to try to get a good price?

I jumped to higher price categories until I finally got an opportunity to negotiate with a private service. After seeing how small the cheaper cars are I was happy I didn't get an opportunity to ride in one to Bangkok.

I think this is a problem trying to get rides to Bangkok from Pattaya as I had no problem getting a ride from Bangkok to Pattaya in the afternoon.

Excellent, you have just explained why its a dumb idea! Tons of well priced cabs to Bkk from Patts!

I don't understand what you're talking about, but Grab listed prices are much higher than Bolt. My problem getting a ride to Bangkok was not because they were busy (it was 7 am), but because no one wanted to go to Bangkok. There were a lot of available cars nearby, but they canceled my orders, not me. I had an important appointment in Bangkok so I had no time to mess around. Next time I need to go to Bangkok, I won't use either of these apps.

I was not refering to bkok trips, local. Why would they jump at a cheap oneway bkk trip at peak time. But your right about one thing...dumb idea to begin with!

The listed prices for Bolt are much cheaper than Grab, but getting a ride can be problematic if you go for the cheap rides.

For example, I needed a Bolt ride from Pattaya to Bangkok on a weekday morning. They kept canceling my order even though they were nearby, one after the other. When I picked a more expensive category, a Bolt car turned up and they asked me if I would transfer to a private service to Bangkok for a negotiated price - at least as much as a Taxi. After seeing how small the Bolt car was, I was happy to ride in a comfortable SUV.

Grab are similar if busy, dont move or very slow, if you cancel ride, hit with fee despite non performance, no recourse due to 'App bot thing'. Normally excellent, cheap,

Well that's why I'm thinking how I could stay in the NIRUN apartments for a week so I can visit you in your 21sqm room

Sounds like a plan for sure, maybe even take you for a coffee @ bigc food court, half price if I supply my own mug!

These folk are after BJ. End of.

Their complaint is about the 200 guns. Not gambling.

Reverse logic that, u dont think they see BJ as a major player in illegal gambling and wont him gone? Guns no doubt play a part, but their motive would be to down him for any reason at all. Bit like a politician with undisclosed shares in a defunct media co.

The Thai government will be happy with this news. A bit more in their kick as well.  Why would the Australian government seek to stop donating to a foreign government?    :cheesy:

Like Grain said if you tick all of those boxes then no need for an agent …unless you couldn’t be bothered doing it yourself…. which is me!

My agent was great, they dealt directly with TGF. I did nothing 🥱Have their details if you choose that path.

I’m in Sydney. The TGF arrives next week for her 3rd holiday here - and is also booked for her 4th - in a year!

Thanks, its me also, IT dumb and easily annoyed. If you could message me or post agent info would be great, also price. This trip has just surfaced unexpectedly and need to sort it quickly.Enjoy the upcoming visit of your lovelylady! Regards

They may have arrived somewhat earlier than the British, but they didn't originate in Australia. They originated in Africa, like every human on the planet and apparently crossed to what became Australia when there was a land bridge, but couldn't leave once the land bridge vanished.

So when you wobble on about people going back to where they came from, it applies to you too.

If we all went back to where we came from, that place in Africa would be a spot crowded, wouldn't it?

Great justification for the killing spree.. This mob been here 30000 yrs, we need this terra nulius now! Hardly an original comment either, infact pathetic by a ? "NewZealander"
