Ok, giving it away, seems more logical to you?

Only time I have seen a cop shoot his gun was when we were drinking at a small outside eating and drinking place. Scared the hell out of me, got out of there quickly. From what the video shows, these guys are simply trying to save their own lives and simply did not understand how roadblocks in Thailand work. . Something really does not add up here.
How roadblocks work is really hard to fathom.??? Going by your comments no doubt you dont know either!!

I don't think it helped doing the Haka before attacking the policeman, waving a wad of Thai Baht usually works better than sticking your tongue out at a Thai cop. 😕
Agree, and the 'slit the throat thing' really seals the deal. Didn,t help they werenot "All Blacks"!

But Kiwis used to be such NAICE people! (I was one once, then I became an Aussie but still naice.)
Yes, Oz got loads of badguys due to the no travel restriction/passport thing, so cant be deported when they commit crime. Poor NZ wages pushed many to Aust and their still there, think its changed now.

In my many thousands of KMs of motorcycling in Thailand, I was ALWAYS stopped at EVERY road check point, even as Thai's without helmets passed by without being stopped.
Once I was stopped about 3 times in maybe 20 kms (I have no idea what there were so many check points). I complained to the senior Police Officer there. He was very friendly. Funny, the next two check points I went though I was not stopped the only time this has ever happened = not being stopped at a Police check point.
There can have been no possible sane reason why these two nutters ended up in the situation they did other than their own arrogance, entitlement and stupidity.
I think too many western people tend to demand the same standards in a SE Asian country as they expect in their own country, forgetting that they are guests in this country and need to abide by the laws and customs of that country. As they say, when in Rome xxx xx x
Ask Aussie cops how the kiwis behave in Oz. Sameway these two pigheaded 'bros' did. Never known a kiwi in Oz to respect anylaws and I know and have worked with plenty of them.My youngest son unfortunately partnered a kiwi 'thing', absolute nightmare, he,s lucky to be alive.

It is a good New Zealand cheese and the one I buy most here........Mainland Vintage Cheese, aged up to 24 months. I also buy the occasional French Brie.
Bega Cheese from Bega, Sth Coast NSW, Aust, great dairy country, has many awards, is often in Big CX well priced and I found better than Mainland overall. I knew the headcheesemaker at one time, he originally was a horsebreaker, horsebreeder in the highcountry of Vic.

And you need to make your way to the bus terminal on Theppasit Rd, Jomtien to be able to take that bus. I'd rather not waste an extra few hours which includes going to the Jomtien bus terminal, buying a bus ticket then having to wait a few hours till the bus leaves due to so many other people also wanting to take the cheap bus.
Then you need to do the same at the airport to come back to Pattaya and I've seen the queues for the bus line to buy a bus ticket to Pattaya at the airport. It's ridiculously so long.
I'd rather just pay the 1k each way and get a comfy car to and from the airport door-to-door, without all the hassles, all the people and all the time wasted. That's what I keep doing each & every single time I need to make a trip to the airport or from the airport to Pattaya.
Hang on, your not going by air so youd rather all day in the flying coffin than waiting for the bus, ( by the way you can book). I have used it many times, never had to wait more than 1 departure. More bitching APU!

Costs 1k to the airport & 1k back to Pattaya by a private taxi service. That's 2k spent. Add the cost of flights, visas for neighbouring countries, etc. and it's easily double a van trip. I know, I've done the flying trip a few times in the past.
Its 150bht bus direct to Swampy, KL entry free, next!
