"The spacecraft will travel at 11 kilometres per hour to the moon"
Earth to moon distance approximately 384,400 km. Do the math, that's about 35,000 hours or 1,458 days or 4 years *one way*. Hope they have room for all that sticky rice and naam plao. What a fa*rking joke, a country which can't even keep millions of drunks off the roads or supply reliable electricity and internet to all its citizens proposes to pull off this pie-in-the-sky hi-tech publicity stunt. 555 very funny ????

Once again it is either a minor "inconvenience" so what? 24 hours without a drink? Big deal - not. OR it's the principle of it, including the usual Thai hypocrisy and contempt for farang. When it comes to dual pricing (at national parks, for example) treat farang with conspicuous unfair discrimination even those who have lived here for many years, have work permit, legit jobs, Thai families, property, etc. But when it comes to nation-wide booze ban during elections which mean nothing and have nothing to do with farangs, nope the same law applies to everyone, we are all suddenly "equal" ????

"Tachileik, which borders Mae Sai district in Tak province..."
Tachilek is in Myanmar opposite Mae Sai which is in Chiang Rai province, not to be confused with Mae Sot which is in Tak province. Check your maps ????

How many tourists is a "throng"? And with international tourism virtually gone were there any "farangs" on that summit and how much does the park still over-charge them?

There is a deep-orange pantsuit waiting for Trump in Gitmo carefully color-matched for his butt-bronzed face paint.

"Prayut said the country’s educational system was not bad, but it focused far too much on academics, when people should be educated about patriotism, history and loyalty."
In other words, reading, writing, and arithmetic are all fine and good, but morally-weighty propaganda should prevail. All Hail *Thainess*!!!
"Prayut wrapped up by saying he does not understand why people keep saying he has exploited his power, when he has done everything according to law."
According to his corrupted version of "law". He's almost as narcissistic as tRump who, thank Buddha, is very likely on his way either to jail or a sneaky flight to Moscow. ????

At the risk of being a party-pooper, isn't about time to stop launching these things which pollute and cause fire hazards? Yep, TIT, but the novelty wears off after so many years ????

It's a category 3, and likely cat-2 at landfall, then down to tropical depression by the time it reaches Thailand. Probably some rain, but anyway we still need more up north.

"this year's high season would be at least 20% down on last year"
That's pie-in-the-sky unrealistic. With international tourism down to virtually nothing, the "high season" will be down more like 80% and a lot of Thais have lost their sources of income and even if they "travel" it will be mostly on a tight budget. Nope it's a stay home and hunker down cycle until a vaccine and politics facilitate a re-opening.

The next to be allowed back with the usual checks and self-imposed quarantine should be foreigners who have Thai spouses, valid retirement visas, or work permits. These 39 token "tourists" are just a TAT farce, and the picture with fireworks is a joke. Let's face it - international tourism for the most part is DEAD until there is a scientifically-proven and thoroughly-tested covid-19 vaccine. Listen to real scientists

Thankful to be "trapped" in Thailand for 16 years. Too many USAers are gun-nut crazy. Trump loves to make his followers angry and scared. He thrives on chaos and the misery of others.

Notice how Trump's campaign strategy is now almost entirely about mud-flinging at Biden and trying to maximize the MAGA-hat crowd's anger and fear. It's standard practice for him. Promise non-existent policies while tearing down the opposition with shouty virus-spreading lies.

Wearing a mask doesn't mean anything if you don't cover your nose and mouth and socially distance. Otherwise it's "chin diapers" and blowing breath snot sneeze covid contagion. Keep us safe!

See photo with "flock" of 17 people ????
"The temperature in the northern plains touched 20 degrees Celsius this morning."
For most of the world that is still t-shirt weather. Thais operate on an entirely different thermometer.

All the beauty pageant winners are either half-breed farang/Thai "Luk Krung" or ladyboy Kathoey with tons of cosmetic surgery and fake boobs. Fair enough, now how about a "Miss Real Thailand" pageant where all contestants are 100% Thai females with no surgical or chemical alterations?

First time I heard "Eruption" was in the upper parking lot of my high school in the fall of 1979 played out of some stoner guy's beefy car stereo. Then saw them the following year in the Seattle Coliseum accompanied by a bag of weed. 65 is too young, RIP Eddie.

Thai police to reduce number of alcohol breath tests over New Year

Why not just stop testing for covid-19 AND drink driving? As famously said by a once-upon-a-time slippery orange POTUS: lest testing = less cases = lower numbers. SUCCESS, we've done a *phenomenal* job! 10 out of 10!
