Only cold on hilltops (1000m+) at night.

Looks pretty bad, based on the numbers/charts. My wife was at Chiang Khan yesterday and there was plenty of "beach".

Quote5 hours ago, Chazar said:
MORE utter BS most of them crash because they cant drive because your driving test is a joke, that stupid video we're forced to watch ( you know the one where everyone falls asleep or plays with their phone) is about "being polite" and is a total waste of everyones time, where the dept for years and maybe still does accept a bribe for some to "pass" where the Police have zero activity except to clear up the corpses and count the baht they can make......................but guess thats how YOu want it mr unelected P?
WHAT...... no free chicken soup this year.....disappointed
I just renewed my 5 year Thai DL so had to watch that 1- hour video. Not as bad as I had anticipated, but mostly just dramatizations of people doing dumb stuff and getting injured or killed, so basically scare tactics which is supposed to make you wake up and pay attention. But after collecting my new license, during the 1-hour drive home I swear we saw almost every example of the same same bad driving behavior. Yeah it's a sad joke and none of this "training" seems to have any effect. Oh and during that video as soon as the "teacher" left the room, almost everyone just went back to playing with their phones, totally ignoring the video. They don't give a s hit - just give me my "license" and let me back on the road to do whatever the h ell I want. Me-First, etc.

Most of the "ME FIRST" Thai males just drive as fast as possible anyway, with precisely zero f* cks given for danger to other motorists. Personally never see the point of going faster than around 60-70kph - what's the fri ggin hurry with these people treating every road like a highway? Slow the hell down, jai yen yen, etc.

Been there twice, but just walked the 9km path around it both times. Plenty of other things to climb in Aus. Aboriginals got a raw deal, so maybe show some respect for ancient beliefs.

We are definitely not "at the height of the monsoon season". Despite some tropical storms and flooding the past month or two, we are wayyy behind on rain and water reserves and for most of the country rainy season is winding down, the exception being the lower gulf where November can still be rainy, but for most of the country, especially the north, the rains are just about done for another 6 months.
Meanwhile the Mekong at Vientiane is currently measuring 1.54 meter depth, which is insanely low at any time of year. Only good thing to come from it is they have this huge "beach" to set up temporary food stalls, bars, markets, etc which get busy at sunset. Early start to "festival season".

Sheeple queuing up for hours and coughing up large sums just to hold and obsess with the latest fashion-gadget which then alienates them from the world. Not quite the soulful liberation Steve Jobs had in mind?

"tax on salted (or sweet) foods to try and wean Thais away from sodium-heavy (and sugary) diets."
Complete b o ll ock s of course, as any such tax is imposed to steal more money. Same as tax on booze and smokes, the gov't doesn't give a toss about public health, just how to take money.

More make-it-up-as-you-go "expert" authoritative "news". A bit like when General Prayut ordered smoke season to end in 7 days. He's the boss so it must be true. Okay cold season, you heard the man, get your a r s e in here!

Bol locks. These weather forecasts are usually just a stab in the dark attempt for TMD egg-sperts to appear to have a clue. So to hedge their bets just say something vaguely 30/40/60% maybe-ish, then pat yourself on the back if it turns out to be slightly correct. Job well done

Saved to Favorites for retrieval when same same smoke/haze returns in Feb/March to applaud Prawit's "whip-cracking" success.

I predict it will be cool in Winter, so give me a gold star for being a weather genius!!! ????

"Wan Org Pansa" What is this The Lord of the Rings? The Thai word for leaving/exiting/going out is ออก which transliterates to something like "aawk". No "r" and definitely no Orcs involved.

Boll ocks. Not a drop nor anything on the radar here just north of CM. Very abbreviated rainy season this year. Frogs left feeling disappointed. People already starting to talk about "smoke season". It's bloody October F F S.

Does Bernie Sanders read the ThaiVisa forum? Anyway, we wish him a full recovery. Unfortunately it does bring back the question of longevity when some of the favored candidates are pretty damn old. Big question remains with Dems... Who can they nominate to beat the angry orangutan in November 2020?

Angrit-language media here love to use words like "plunge" and "plummet" and "crisis" to describe any kind of cool snap (with temps considered as picnic-friendly in many farang countries). O M G ! ! ! prepare to wear a shirt with sleeves and maybe even socks at night ! ! ! ????
