I have an 11 yr old and my plan is to teach early. She has ridden MB already in a small country village when she visits family. As we drive in our car I point out all the stupid things the MB's are doing. She won't be riding on any main roads but a little riding practice on large parking lots and such is good IMO. Being able to pick back, front brake without thinking. Motor memory. One of the things that MB riders do here which I hate is they won't except for red lights come to a stop and wait for clear traffic. Turn left without stopping and not even a glance. MB's are a useful tool here, just has to be used safely. To forbid your kid from ever riding on a MB is unrealistic.
