Without telling you too much about myself, let me say my favorite getaways are always beach front hotels. Been to many islands, Koh Samet being the last one and it was great. I'm currently traveling Calif, USA. Heading to Santa Monica today to see the sights. Then on to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. Upon my return my bank will be crying and will only concentrate on school fees and some home remodeling. Having the beach so close at home reminds me that I'm pretty much living the dream. I do look forward to taking my beach chair, a cooler of beer and sitting close to the surf contemplating life which I do a few times a week.

I'm glad that flying to and from the US I don't have to put up with all the foreign tourists. Oh we get a few, don't get me wrong. Was a time when you wanted wine they gave you a small bottle, now it's a thimble full in a small glass. Even the upgrade to premium economy doesn't get you better service any longer. I know, I know fly business class....but I really can't see paying that much money. Another dislike is the limited number of toilets aboard.
