  1. Evidence that you are right about this is the Thailand Pass which: 1) requires that you buy an expensive airline ticket, hotel room, PCR test, and insurance before applying, then, 2) frustrates the <deleted> out of the applicant making them want to give up on the trip altogether.
  2. Me, too. Thought they were shortening that processing time to 3 days. If that's true, we are 2 days beyond the 3-day deadline.
  3. Did the proper paperwork ever get filled out and triple Thai certified so those vaccines could actually get to Thai people?
  4. Liesure Travelers Likely to Give Up Trying to Get a Thailand Pass would be a better headline.
  5. Hello. I'm a U.S. citizen applying for a non-immigrant 90-day visa to visit wife. I am trying to use the E Visa portal to apply for the visa. And, I'm confused as on the page where you upload the supporting documents, three of them don't seem to apply to me. Therefore, I have no documents to put into numbers 8, 9, and 10. I am a national of the country in which I am applying, have not traveled recently, and not sure what to say about #10. But, when I click "done", it gives these red-highlighted alerts and the page won't proceed (see photo). Tried calling the consulate in Chicago but couldn't get anyone on the line (I assume they have all fled due to Thailand Pass madness and are now in hiding or just not picking up the phone). Anyone else encounter this issue?
  6. We were told that to get a marriage extension visa, we would have to register our marriage (which took place in the United States) in Thailand. That's how we ended up at the amphur trying to "register" it. Madness ensued.
  7. It should. And, apps we need to work correctly supplied by Thailand should work correctly. I would take the paper printout in case that is not the case.
  8. They simplified it?! Way less documents?! Are you looking at the same Thailand Pass that I am?
  9. You take that printout on the trip with you. You can show it when you arrive in. Thailand.
  10. Reminds me of wife and I trying to register our U.S. marriage in Thailand. Local Amphur wouldn't register our marriage until it had a special stamp from what hereafter will be called Office A. We went to that office and were told that they would not stamp it until Office B put a stamp on it. Went to Office B and they said no stamp until Office A stamps it. Went back to Office A where we were told no stamp until Office B stamps it. Went back to Amphur and was told that it didn't matter...marriage couldn't be registered without the stamps. We gave up.
  11. It's very obvious that they created this app and did not sandbox it one single time. It they had tested it even once, they would have immediately noticed all the issues we have all been reporting. Who creates an app and doesn't even test it before making it live? Seems like 12-year old coders wouldn't miss that step.
  12. "...mostly due to external interferences..." wut?
  13. Chrome in incognito mode gave the same api error on second page. Got it to work with Safari in normal mode. Submitted. Now will wait like the rest of you.
  14. Tried incognito mode with Chrome and same error message on that second page.
  15. They still haven't fixed this. I got this after submitting the first page that had my travel date on it. Using Chrome on an iMac.
  16. What it if means that their capacity to approve applications is capped around 1,500/day? More than that number are applying each day. So, every day that happens, there is an increasing backlog which will steadily increase the time from application to final processing.
  17. I would say much more difficult. COE process was simpler. You could submit .pdf. And, if you had an issue, you could contact your local Thai embassy to resolve it.
  18. "...tourism businesses will need to change their business models to better focus on quality, rather than the number of tourists..." What the <deleted> does that mean?
  19. For what it's worth... I am booked to land in BKK at 00:05 and have your same concerns. I contacted the hotel I plan to book (The Bazaar) and they explained that their process is to take the guest by the hospital between the airport pickup and first arrival at the hotel for the test. They said that they do testing even at the time. So, then I just have to wait at the hotel until the test result comes back.
  20. So, only teenagers can buy them, not older folks? (Asking for a friend.)
