But they would be fined for non-compliance. If they insisted on going to court - and that is a bothersome process, he said - they could be fined up to 20,000 baht.

Bothersome, Wife tried top go to court this  week  , the small  claims court  up to 300k  baht and was  given the brush off there. Sale  of a condo, the  seller took 100k  baht deposit then sold to someone else and refuses to give back the 100k he received from the buyer. Wife has given up after the court found her bothersome!

She gets  nothing out of this except trying to help the buyer, she has already given him back the 20k she  received out of that 100k, the other co agent is also refusing, lovely  people all round.

She spent most of a day with the buyer going to Police station (disinterested) the first court who said  she needed to go to a different court on tuther  side of town and the second court who refused to help. Thai  justice finest in the world right up there with North Korea.

Just how do you get a pink card? No need to answer - I have read the requirements:

    your passport

    your work permit (if any)

your house registration (Ta bian ban)

    your marriage certificate (if any)

your 2 books for permanent residency (if you are permanent resident)

birth certificate of Thai children (if any)

Yet migrant workers (our friend's maid) just pay 10K baht and get it within 1 week.

Anyone know how we can do that?

I  paid 2  baht  about two  months ago at Sam  Roi  Yot   office,  took 5  minutes.

The UK government funded research into the Oxford/Astro Zeneca vaccine and have given it away at cost price.

Trust Thailand to ROP people off, charging for it. In real countries profiteering from misery is outlawed.

    shame on this cursed land.

Not  only  that but the UK  will vaccinate ALL members of society including unregistered  undocumented  immigrants, even illegals.

  5. It was unbelievably  simple  to get this at Sam Roi Yot land office, took all of 10 minutes with photo and 1-2 baht fee reduced during covid  apparently.

This was 2  months  or so  ago. I also have had  a yellow  book one at an old  condo in BKK and one at my  current address in the countryside in a house. Am also registered at the main Hua  Hin hospital the one the Thais use with a card for  that.

Sorry to hear you think violating the government's interprovincial travel restrictions is indicative of "manning Up"

The Missus follows the guidelines because she's willing to do all she can to bring about an end to this pandemic.

Sorry you don't feel that way.

    EDIT:

Because  of  course  going physically  into an office with other  people is  in no way helping the spread of covid, what a  farce, comical rubbish, all could be done online.
