internationalism
because it's aroy maak, it must be healthy. pad krapao is not stir fried holy basil. It's a fried chicken with a bit of herb. If they reaaly believed that basil will protect, they would eat more of it and in many different forms. Freshly being the most potent 1

Sticky Rice Balls
Im surprised that covid began in China, and wonder if folks over there are trying some sort of medicinal mix of herbs-and animal parts due to their fascination with birds nest, shark fins and tiger "junk"......as they seem to claim these types of things offer immunity--long life--sex enhancement-etc.. Popular Post Misterwhisper
Wrong. You can only truly protect yourself against Covid-19 if you chew on buffalo dung (let it melt in your mouth slowly), smear your limbs (especially the hands!) with fish innards (any species will do), and stuff your ears and nostrils with "pak chee lao". My reasoning? Well, if you believe that eating pad kraprao is going to ward off that virus, you're also going to believe the above. Another poster noted that "even Celtic warriors" wore protective amulets. Nice comparison, buddy! The Celts lived 2,500 years ago. Just as many years as Thailand's education system seems to be lagging behind.

It doesn't say cure. It says protect. The Thais are making an effort to eat healthier foods. They are eating what they think is healthy. You are ridiculing foods that you (probably) know nothing about. And you are also ridiculing the entire concept that diet plays a role in protecting from illness. Which you know nothing about. You are attacking their education levels. They're on the right track. That is precisely what people need to be doing. Being more health-conscious. Popular Post Patong2021
Please read the poll in original Thai language before criticizing/ridiculing. Translation is not accurate for intent. It is only sample of 1192 people. The questions were what favorite meals did people think would build their immunity against covid19. The answers are really not much different than what other countries would report. All that changes is the food that is common to the culture. The central theme is that Thai people understand they must eat healthy type foods. Good nutrition does help the immune system. If you asked Russian maybe he say vodka and potato or if you ask lowlander they say hotpot. Nothing too off here. At least they not say they think vaccine have Bill Gates DNA or spyware, or that covid is fake, like large number of farang.
