Same same. I tried downloading Wise transfers once and was inundated with scam calls. No apps for me. cash is king, bank books also, I'd rather transfer money direct from my bank.

I don't have any extra apps on my phone and I have disabled many useless ones that came with iPhone.
I'm almost done with Wise too. I rather to do it old fashion way every 6 months or more.

couldn't tolerate the noisy gatherings of his Thai wife's friends and the Canadian neighbor

Noise can get in some alcoholics nerves (especially if something piled up during time)and) if they have criminal background (even though not mentioned here) it will pop someday in terrible way.  The best is not giving a reason to this type.

The part that baffles me is not so much the information leak (if that's what it was), but where it got to and how it was put to use.

    Shopping apps profile ?
man's gutters could be a cover up for the main purpose.

"When you set up your transfer, we estimated that your money would get to us today. But this time, it’s taking a little longer to arrive.

Your money will now get to us in 3 working days. As soon as it gets here, we’ll convert it. Then we’ll send it out to your recipient.

You can track your transfer from your Wise account."

estimated that will take 6 days.

    🤔🤨🙁

Is this delay because of last days of Dec ? Or just an excuse for not transferring since the rate was good at the time !!!
whatever it is I can't rely on Wise anymore.

The only time I had trouble with Lazada was, when I not used CoD. That was the first and last time I payed an Order in advance, and the Money is still in Lazada Wallet and can't get it out.

Me too. Lazada want me to pay by the wallet, but I won't give my bank account even for ฿200 returned item. COD is the best way, no personal information gets involve and sellers ship it quicker.
I recently not using Lazada, because free shipping offered not working for COD. I switched to Shoppee. I spend my money else where.

on the photos I see an angled metal stabiliser to the new wall. (between row three and four)
If that is drilled into the wall, and then fixed to the partition blocks, I would be concerned that it may become an effective noise transmitter.

You are right. In fact if I were him I would use tin studs from floor to ceiling and screw Gipson boards to those studs without any wall to wall supports and have insulation between only.

Maybe they were a bad quality 12 years ago?

I have seen such condition. Q-con wall was full of cracks and then was fixed by simple wall patch and looked perfect, but the fact is sound will pass through cracks since the cracks were not filled by filler. One layer of Q-con won't be sound proof anyway.
