One occasion for a delivery shipped from BKK, the delivery boy could not find our house when my wife was trying to give him directions. It finally dawned he had a little understanding of Thai because he was Thai-yai. He found our house after our maid talked to him.

Just noticed the form requirement for address latitude and longitude has been eliminated.
Curious if any one who has applied for an appointment if the IO scheduled date/time was satisfactory or convenient for their situation.

Was your retirement extension based on a Non-OA or Non-O? There were previous reports of Non-OA extensions did NOT require health insurance.

Have you consider getting the Thai Elite visa valid for five years for 500,000 baht?

If you are still living in Maui, how is your wife flying out of the state of Hawaii which is in a lockdown for foreign airlines.

Totally agree.

All Thai banks have their own credit cards and want you to apply for the card and a corresponding bank account to pay the card charges internally within their banking system. The reason the banks promote their credit card is it establishes you have credit history with the bank which may consider to grant you a loan.

The banks want you to first open a credit card account and then buy insurance from them, but it is not a guarantee they will give you a loan.

Additional confirmation from Chiang Mai expats is eagerly waiting. My Non-OA retirement extension is due in August and if what has been reported of no insurance requirements would greatly alleviate my problems especially since my wife is still stuck in the USA.

I prefer not to go the marriage route, too many unnecessary requirements, i.e. two copies of all documents, photos of wife and me, waiting for one month for approval, etc. I have the 800K in the bank as its sole purpose to appease the IO.
Would anyone post a list of required documents to present to IO if I go the 60 day extension based on family visit to see my Thai wife?

What are my options? My retirement extension from a Non-OA visa expires on Aug. 9, 2020. Initially my plans were to leave Thailand and return on a visa exempt entry, subsequently follow by extensions and apply at local IO for a one year Non-O based on retirement. My financials are all in order.
If I can not leave the country and I can not apply for a 60 day family extension to visit my Thai wife since she is currently stuck in the U.S. with very slim chances to return withing the next three months unless the Thai government open up the airports.
Your suggestions would be welcomed.

Have you try the official Social Security website? You would need a MyAccount. If the info you need is not posted or available on the site, perhaps contact via email should be possible.

When the ban was lifted and procured my 2 cases of LEO from my neighborhood store, the dates of 20-3-20 were the same as a partially used box not fully filled with empties leftover from before the ban. The beer still tasted the same.

Was able to successfully pay my Chiang Mai PEA bill today via their app in Kasikorn K-Plus. Previous instructions were to wait until May 7th, but it appears the system is back online.

Good news as my April PEA bill was successfully paid via the PEA app on K-Plus. Previous instructions from PEA was payment would have to be attempted on May 7th, but it appears the PEA computer system is operating properly.
Good luck to all other people who have not been able to pay their bills.

The electricity authorities, PEA for me, are reprogramming their computer systems to calculate individual households' electricity bills to allow discounts allowable under the stay-at-home mandates.
Here in Chiang Mai, the PEA latest instructions were to wait until May 7th. You might inquire at your local electric authority office.

If the sales will be allowed during the two days, four cases of LEO have been ordered from my corner store. Thirsty!

Several attempts to pay my current electric bill, usually done online via K-Plus app, had been unsuccessful for the last few days.
Error messages appeared stating contract number does not show a balance or system not available online.
Went to the PEA shop at Meechoke Plaza...Closed due to COVID-19. A posted notice in Thai directed inquiries to the Sansai Electrical Authority.
So journeyed to the Sansai office on the road to Mae Jo. About 15 people in the office area all trying to pay their bills.
A helpful young lady who spoke English checked my bill and scanned the barcode several times. Puzzled looks when no computer response.
She then advised me to try my online payment on May 7th since the PEA system is down for upgrade. Requested to pay cash for the bill but she said to wait until May 7 and pay online. When questioned about loss of electricity for late payment, she assured me that will not happen.
Before leaving the office, it was quite evident other people were also confused about not being able to pay their electric bills.
Will be trying before May 7 on my K-Plus app.

Same problem for me as mentioned by GroveHillWanderer. Tried calling PEA call center all day, only got a busy signal. Will visit the local PEA office to sort things out.

I have an HP Omni 200 AIO PC that is about 10 years old with WIN 7. When it was time to move to WIN 10, instead of buying a new computer, I was fortunate to be referred to a computer geek who suggested he could update my HP with a little maintenance and installation of a SSD. Works GREAT!
Thank you Grant.
