  1. Getting confused reading different sources.

Only want to visit BKK for the British embassy appointment, then it seems I have to have certain documents translated and verified. The local ampur isn't decided yet but won't be BKK.

Some websites are saying it can be done all the same day if early enough, others mention waiting 2, 3, 4 days.

Want to be in and out of BKK asap - will I be required to wait around a few days to then pick up verified documents or can they be posted?

According to him, TAT will also propose to end the requirement for visitors arriving by land from Laos and Malaysia to fill in the TM6 immigration form to facilitate their visits and prevent crowding at immigration checkpoints.

    Complete waste of time anyway

Never put an honest address on there

It was a well known scam / extortion attempt by the BiB a number of years back.

The would check all the foreigners taking the bus to Pattaya.

They’e go through all their baggage looking for Viagra...   upon finding a little blue-pill or anything which looked like it, they’d struck gold...  “Oh... very bad......”

There used to be plenty of stories on here of guys getting caught.

It was as well know as the BiB stopping tourist walking in the Asoke area... checking for anything and everything in the hope they could find something and make money.

Fortunately, these stories have disappeared now...

this has made me question why I live here

My school told me the only institution in Thailand that offers a path to a permanent teaching license is St. Theresa International College in Nakorn Nayok.

It might be that this is now the only course that's accepted without having to do this new test everyone fails.

Someone I met has enrolled on this (or very similar) and are paying something like 350,000 baht to do it.

The St Roberts Group course is still accepted, but still need to take the test after completing.

  5. yeah avoid the middle east countries and you should be fine

what country are you flying from? never had a problem getting a prescription for diazepam when pretending to be scared of flying, usually the equivalent of 30mg from UK

you could of course just take a high dose before getting on the flight

  6. problem (in my experience) with the eVisa is it asks for some documentation which in some cases is impossible to provide depending on circumstances

made the mistake of using a Thai bank as proof of funds, then my UK bank statement as proof of address (nothing else was in my name), application was rejected for having no money in the UK bank

not sure why they chose to ignore the money in my Thai bank

  7. Is there a clinic that will prescribe this? Recently moved where a government hospital would prescribe 3 months worth.

The private hospitals are 3-4 times what I was paying before and the government hospitals will only give 10-days worth.

Have 10+ years of old prescriptions and doctors letters but this isn’t making a difference..
